Guild Wars 2

i have two problems. One I used a teleport to friend in the new HoT area and it consumes 2 of my stones instead of one. Two after the release of the 64bit my ping in the new areas rise to 700+.

I apologize if I am posting in wrong area but was wondering if I were to prepurchase Heart of Thorns from amazon.com would I still qualify for the free char slot or would i have to purchase from guild wars site?
