Can a dev please answer why this change was implemented? Or was this a bug?

As someone who lists almost every item I get on the TP, can we PLEASE get the feature back where when you go to sell an item, it displays the price of an item you already have for sale on the TP? I have undercut myself countless times. A few copper here, a few silver there… it adds up. Why was this even taken out !?

As title says: Why is it that we can sell ascended crafting armor items but not ascended weapon items?

Accidentally crafted 2 Deldrimor Steel Greatsword Blades today (cause that DDOS lag ) but I can’t sell the extra. However if it accidentally happened when say crafting a deldrimor steel chest plate, I could sell it. Why?

As topic says, please bring them back. Now that we can equip them as a help, I want them badly

Hi. I am from the low population of Devona’s Rest. I am a guild leader of now over 200 people in the past month. Although that seems like a lot, it’s one of the largest guilds on our server. Although guild size doesn’t determine the server size, guest to Devona’s Rest and stand in LA and that will tell you how barren our maps really are. Now I started our guild because after WvW season 1 ended in a not surprising slaughter, many of our larger guilds left for greener pastures. Sadly this was one of my guilds. To tell you a little about me, I was also in another large server that transferred to a higher population server when transfers were free. I then decided the guild wasn’t going in the direction I wanted, came back to Devona’s Rest for $20 in gems. Enough about my history, but let’s look at the present. Some could ask why I would even create a guild here in the first place and why stay here. After recruiting I learned a few things and it’s been difficult.
Most new players buy this game picking a server they just literally random pick. There is obviously a few who have friends on servers, ect but the average person randomly picks a server. What seems to happen is they become more experienced but then become frustrated with the lack of low population. They do a few things. 1) Transfer 2) Deal with it and guest 3) Quit. Now for PvE content guesting is a great option. However those who play WvW are forced to transfer. This in itself is an obvious problem because this game should not be designed that you must guest or transfer to enjoy game content. Now I just got done running the new marionette mission. Our server had less than 30 on the map and the event failed after lane 2. Imagine, 3 people per lane trying to play. What is the other option? Guest? I did. Instant overflow. Which leads me to this: What about people on those servers? They are getting screwed due to guesters. They might not even get to participate in this event because guesting from low pop servers. This is a huge problem!
Now there is a dozen ways I could list why lower population servers is horrible but I am afraid at this point, Anet just quite frankly doesn’t give a kitten . It’s no secret that Anet is a business and thinks financially. Gems are their main source of income and transferring servers I am sure is a huge source of that income. But at what cost? You have players quitting because the troubles with low population issues. You have existing players very frustrated. You literally have WvW guilds buying our other guilds from other servers to ensure they win WvW (yes… this DOES happen.) So at what point is money more important than the experience for your players. This isn’t just a small quality of life issue, this is a SERIOUS problem. Now it’s not that I can’t afford to transfer but the point is, I shouldn’t HAVE to transfer to really enjoy this game. Our server on it’s own has NEVER defeated Teq. We haven’t defeated the new Marionette and many of our world bosses don’t ever get touched outside of reset. Temples do not get done everyday. Hell, we barely even have farming trains at times, which blows my mind. These are all things that directly effect players and their quality of game play.
So what are somethings that could make gameplay better for everyone?
1) Advertise server populations as they are. Right now every server is listed as High (with BG being full). I think we all know Devona’s Rest and other servers like TC, SoR, JQ are not the same population.
2) Make true low population servers free to transfer to and the higher population servers more expensive. This could offset some cost and completely rebalance server populations
3) Automatically put guesters into overflow if map is full. This will give that server priority rights over events.
4) Underflow servers. Server is full? Send them to a different low population server without using up a guest slot.
5) Make new bosses instanced. Example: Instead of Teq being on your map, he is on an instance that people from different servers get sent to. This is like overflow but every server automatically comes here instead vs jsut being on the map of that server.
Now I am sure there are a lot of ways arena net can fix this issue but something needs to be done. I know several people who have just flat out quit because of this and I don’t feel that monetary greed should be a priority to needs of players. I think there might be a way that Anet can fix this problem and still financially grow as a company.
What are your thoughts and ideas? Perhaps if we gain some attention, ANet will take some action.

One of my guild members can not use the TP now for 4 days and is using a Mac. She gets this error: listing fee: Unable to retrieve results Error attempting to sell.

The writing is in black white boxes. She has made a ticket but nothing back yet and it’s been 4 days. Anyone else have this problem?

Well I mean if gold replaces glory, I don’t think that will solve the problem. I am playing pvp BECAUSE the glory now gives me access to 20 slot bags on a savings. Not to mention some new dyes and some other goodies. I hope they keep it.

As someone who never really pvped before, I’m happy with the new rewards. In two days I now have a new 20 slot bag due to glory. However now I’m sad to find out they will be removing glory. Why?! Now there really is no reward. When they remove it, is there? And what am I going to do with these 36 glory boosters I have?

Why cant Anet just add these to the freaking wallet!? This would solve SOOO many problems.

Currently what is happening is if you use LFG or have a party cross server for dungeons, it’s automatically guesting you to that server. If you already have “guested” twice, it boots you. You can not guest to a server you want cause of this.

Hopefully Anet is aware and looking for a solution quickly!

Looks like my guesting slots were filled. I think it’s making you guest to that server when doing the dungeon.

Just did CoF1 and 2 and AC 1 no problems. P3 AC kept kicking me.

Tired of getting killed by risen while map completing? Wish you could effortlessly map complete in those higher level areas? Is map completion boring? Look no further! I will be hosting periodically map completion events in order to help everyone get the map completion they so desperately need for that Legendary (…or OCD.) With a zerg of us wandering across the map, this should make things much easier to get those last few POIs, Skill points, Waypoints and hearts. Come if you also just want to have fun and get some loot. Don’t forget gathering tools!

Upon map completion, each of these areas will give you some exotics for loot. What an awesome way to get some gold, that dark matter, or even a rare rune!

I have done this achievement a couple times with Dulfy.com guide. I’m stuck at 23/24 evn though I hit up all 24. Is this bug going to be fixed or am I screwed for this achievement?

I was selling an Emberspire and noticed there were no sell orders. I checked out the spidy… all 70 that were there.. gone. About 30 min later… 1 up for 50g. You’re essentially asking that they only add achievements for things that suit your personal preferences, you realize that? Sure this time it’s a minigame, but next time it’ll be something else, because you OCD over achievements.

Why wouldn’t I put in input into a game that is “ever changing” when I’m a paying customer? Nearly everyone I ran into in that mini game was doing it JUST for the achievement. It wasn’t even fun. I’m saying please stop making achievements that are temporary for LS that aren’t fun and bring no content to the game what so ever… not to mention slightly disconnected with story, period.

Well, I try to not miss any achievements. Sadly, this is one.

Been doing Lunatic Inquisition for over an hour now. No one else but me and a guy with macros playing who is AFK apparently and I still don’t have this achievement. It’s not that fun and I feel this is a grind to just get achievements anymore, otherwise no one would play this.

I also have same issues. Haven’t changed any information for Paypal or Gw2.

I have always used Paypal to buy my gems. Now when I go to buy gems with PayPal it Says transaction can not be completed at this moment and says to go back to gem store? What is the deal here? I never had problems before and I’m trying to get some of the holiday items but without being able to use PayPal, in screwed.

I think the whole Scarlet character was poorly written and she’s just annoying and she doesn’t seem to be a villain at all, just an annoyance. I hate her and I think the LS creators need to actually learn about some story structure.

Well, my reasoning was this. Perhaps during these 2 weeks, we pushed the beast back or something similar.

Example: For the Scarlet invasions, there were achievements that are still not available now, even though the invasions still exist. I was concerned I couldn’t get these wings or achievements after these next 2 weeks. I hope that I still will be able to. Although they are revamping the bosses, this was a legit concern after the trend of content they have been releasing.

As title says, will this be permanent? Or just 2 weeks? I am not a huge fan of this time gated living story as I have a very busy life and can’t always dedicate to play it like I’d want to, but I really wanna do these new achievements and get a hold of those awesome looking wings

I’m not sure if this bothered anyone else during the PAX event live stream, or if it was just me, but there were two questions asked that stood out to me. One question was about town clothing. Colin replied with a question basically saying that you find clothing changing to armor when u change damage to be unrealistic? and then he stated that they have to change it. Also, what was brought up was the Charr armor. It made me sad and appalled to be honest that the dev that responded basically said that human and norn are more important because more people play them and Charr are lower priority. Now why is this not important if this is too, unrealistic? The problem Charr players fact is massive clipping of horns and ears. Most helms actually remove horns and ears, which is VERYunrealistic. The radiant helm, the helm you get via achievements, literally removes horns and ears. And it’s not just a problem for Charr but many times hair is removed from ALL races with hats, helms, hoods, ect. Why priorities on one race and not the other and why town clothes before actual armor is being addressed? Does this upset anyone else?

What happens to all magic find gear, ANET? I have a set for farming that I’m upset if I will have to just… Destroy. Can a developer answer any of these questions? What about the infusion on my amulet as well? Thanks.

Great. I haven’t had the opportunity to play due to being out of town for work and I was excited over this patch because I’ll finally be able to get my Twillight (farm mats). Nope… Nerf coming. Kinda kittenty ANet. :/

After reading a thread on reddit about a user being banned, I thought perhaps I can gain insight by posting here. Supposedly user was banned for cheating but was only running the common GW2 stuff API world event overlay. Although I don’t know what really happened, it makes me very curious and cautious to using anything with the API.

Obviously I have a few questions about this.

1) Since Anet has released API information, are developers allowed to write programs using this information or is this limited to just browser based displays such as gw2temple.com?

2) Although as stated in a thread above that Anet can not “pre approve” programs, is a program running API released to see timer of world events a bankable offense?

Sometimes my laptop crashes and completely when playing guild wars 2. I used to play it often before I bought my desktop, but it never shut down like this. I think the graphics get hot or something. Basically my entire laptop just stops. Any ideas what I can do to help fix this

No, it’s actually redownloading it.

I was updating my guildwars in the airport yesterday before I headed to work because I travel a lot for work and I have poor internet at work (get decent internet while you can.) I then shut my PC down and boarded my plane. When I ended my travels for the day, I started the client and it appeared ot was trying to repair itself and now it’s trying to redownload the entire game client all over again. I don’t think I’ll be able to download it because I’m only getting about 20kbs out here and this is a huge program.

What happened? and am I forced to redownload the game entirely once again?

I just wanted to say to this Dark Cloud guild member on Crystal Desert that I enjoyed our little spar we had today. It was a nice stalemate we had. Wish I could’ve seen your name so I could’ve messaged you. Maybe Anet will implement that someday. See you around

DR player here. It’s nice to have a challenge. I don’t WvW often but for a while while we were climbing tiers, I didn’t even bother because we won often. I don’t like to lose but I like opportunities to win.

On a related note, it seems that Mag has a particular player who seems to kill me every time. She’s a red headed norn warrior that looks like she has dusk. Who are you and how do you move across map so fast in our BL?! lol
