I like these answers guys keep them coming!
And to the people who are being a bit negative, Anet have stated in the AMA that they have learned from the mistakes of Lost Shores and are planning on building on their event system to make a working system for us.
So keep hopeful!
I just wanted to find out what the communities thoughts were on the newest holiday about to land in Tyria.
Personally, I believe that the toymaker will arrive in each city, bringing love and joy and blah, blah, blah. We will get a hat or something unique and the festivities will begin.
In the midst of the celebrations, the toys will start to go haywire, destroying anything in its path. It will be the players duty to restore peace to each of the cities, spanning over a week long conquest to rid them from the world.
I also feel a mini dungeon or jumping puzzle in the form of the toymakers airship will be in the mix somewhere, judging from the past events.
I am looking forward to reading your speculations, queries and concerns about the patch, and I have faith that Anet will succeed again in another fun event!
Im loving the Event playing with my 2 other mates, we were having a blast!
Here you go, hope you like it!
I love just playing the game, exploring, destroying and everything else in this game! However, I like to always work towards a new piece of armour, or cool weapon, even more so now that I have started dungeons.
But I am in no rush to achieve these goals, because just playing to get these goals are just so fun anyway!
I have seen a lot of F2P MMO’s which give you the option to buy gems (or what have you) buy using a text message. Basically it sends you a text, you reply, and you receive your gems.
Do you think this would be a good addition to the Black Lion Trading Co.?
I believe it will create more opportunities for Anet to make some more money :P
At least from me that is. :P
1. Very. It was a mysterious new world I was entering, and I was very pleased with the Graphics/Gameplay/Story/Combat/Questing. However I did encounter a problem with framerate due to my laptop not being plugged in…
2. Yes, especially with the recent update.
3. All the time!
4. Hard to say, I doubt that will happen though. They have spent years on this, not time to abandon it now!
5. Definately, I am very satisfied with my $60 purchase. Still having a blast with it!
I don’t see the problem, they look awesome! Trouble is finding them though…
Wow that is actually so amazing. Thanks for Sharing
Meta Events, or Group Events are really the equivelent of ‘Raids’. They are large scale battles against massive creatures, or just really powerful ones, usually 20 or more people will flock to these events, because they are mainly just AWESOME!
But a more organised ‘raiding’ system would be quite cool
I would love to see this implemented, I would love to see a more tactical approach towards events, would make for some more exciting gameplay.
Yeah, I think that would be pretty cool, wouldn’t mind some holiday events with some cool holiday gear!
Wow I do really love the community here, so awesome!
Here is my level 32 Norn Guardian Love him!

I totally agree with these points posted here, Events need to scale more to the amount of players in an area, and each time an event is won, the event should become harder, just to give the enemies a chance, so we can actually see the failure side of Dynamic Events.
When playing as a Melee character, you need to be concious of your surroundings. Watch your enemies and look out for their attacks, when you see them coming, roll out of the way. This is what makes combat in Guild Wars so dynamic, instead of just sitting there pressing a rotation of 1,2,3,4,5 over and over again.

Helps alot
Argh, NO!
No Damage output, no healing output, no stupid kills & collected items.
The Completion bars are more than fine since they do not pull you out of the experience by adding a generic x/x killed or collected like in other games.
Do not turn events into wow quests!!!
And do not add UI addons like that because they will let you play the UI rather than the game itself.
In my opinion theyshould even reove the bars and let you look at the Npcs ingame & the situation, look if they need more help or if the centaures stopped attacking. That would enhance the experience a lot!
Exactly, the whole reason for the ‘bar’ is to hide the generic experience most MMO’s offer.
I think you are either seriously over-thinking what this game is, or you are just really open-minded. If you do have trouble, just look at the help options, ask other players or use the in game wiki.
P.S. When I started out, I had no troubles at all.
