Ward essentially means foster child. Not necessarily adopted, but a child with no parents that you’ve taken under your wing and are officially responsible for. Dic Grayson (Robin of comic book fame) was the ward of Bruce Wayne. Asuran society being what it is, I’m sure this means she is Zojja’s apprentice as well though.

That particular image is from a Facebook game called Castle Age. So are a lot of the other images in the freelance gallery. Definitely nothing to do with Guild Wars.

You’re welcome! Luckily I just figured it out myself last weekend.

At the artificer merchant, in the Inscriptions tab. At the bottom of the list is a single Ascended Inscription bundle for 21k karma. Buy that, double click it and it gives you a list of all the inscriptions. Choose the one you want, and it gives you the recipe. Double click that to learn it.

You said that you’re missing the inscription recipe, correct? Because ascended inscription recipes do not cost gold and laurels, they cost karma. The weapon recipes cost laurels. Maybe that’s where the problem lies?

No. No, no, and no. I utterly dislike the entire concept of ‘finishers’. I understand the usefulness of the mechanic in PVP and that’s fine because I don’t do PVP. But I see no reason why I suddenly need to drop everything I’m doing so I can jump in the air and shove a magic stick through the chest of every single NC mob I come across. I personally found it to be a huge pain in the story instance and considered dropping the whole thing and skipping the LS this time around so I wouldn’t have to deal with it. Please, please do not continue this in the rest of the game.

Thank you so much for this! I started playing about a month ago and have been trying to get the hang of my mesmer, but all the guides around here seem to be either focused on PVP (which I don’t do) or just overly complicated with heavy use of acronyms and other terms I don’t understand yet. I got so frustrated I just abandoned my mesmer and rolled something else. This is a simple guide that any idiot can follow. These forums need more Guides For Dummies.
