The netgear 6300 does have SPI feature. If you can’t find a way to disable it, try using dd-wrt to replace the router’s firmware.

My Netgear TL-R402M is not supported and I don´t have SPI in my router visible in settings. But again, behind this router is only antenna and my provider and I have still this issue, only not so often.

get some good AV software, AVG was never good…ah I remember 1995 – I had AVG4..and it has good detection, but if you wanted to clean the virus…fail.
get Nod,Norton,Avira etc. instead of this and I hope, you wil have no issue

I have this since halloween.
You are lucky, that you have got the answer to your ticket.
I tried to disconnect my router and it seems better, but I will not buy other router because of someones kittenty programming. My computer is higher than recommended and NEW ROUTER WAS NOT counted in when I bought this game. In my country this price is 1/10 of average month salary, so for me it´s quite a lot money.

I say again, if everything was fine before halloween and right after patch started to blackout, it´s not problem on my side.
Other games are without problem.

I found out, that my problem seems better, when I bypass my router, but I can´t change anything else, because I am not owner of another devices on wifi way, it´s ISP. I get one black screen in two hours instead of 5 in one hour, but still really annoying.

I think somebody from Anet shall check the client communication, because it seems their side disconnect me. I dont have problems with other online games, just this one.

My ticket is open since Halloween content and nobody cares.

I think this problem has nothing to do with graphics, or drivers. My black screen problems started right after end of halloween content. It´s network related problem. BUT, it´s problem of the game, the game should hold some latency issues, ore where is the problem and not immediatelly disconnect player without any message a stay black. Internet providers are different and nobody has perfect provider. Unfortunatelly I have only one option and cant change it. Don´t tell me, that programmers in Anet cant fix it or figure it out, what is wrong. Twice I had message about network connection when it went black, but message fade out very quickly, so I cant say what exactly was written there.

There are two different blackscreens, first is needed to complete restart PC, because of crash of system. I can tell, yeah, it´s driver problem, or hardware. But the second is, that you can press F11 to go to the menu, but you cant see character, or anything else. And this is software issue in GW2. Players should say, what type of blackscreen they have. Not only, aaaaaah, I have black screen every minute, because he will probably get wrong and not helpful comment.

No, it didnt help and I tried it already yesterday, because I searched forums up and down. I already tried this and settings in Control center – Profiles.
If you just look for the video and comment, you can see it very clearly.
I hoped, I discover something new in this issue, what can developers to track down where is the fault. Nobody noticed that menu is working and game is not at the same time

Hi again: I uploaded video, what exactly happens and what I accidentally figured out today that setting menu works somehow, which I think means something wrong in the game. Someone from Arenanet staff shall look on it. As I read on forum, I am not alone with this issue. Thanks for answer.

Exactly this problem started by me right after ending of Halloween content.
No matter what character I play, no matter if pve or pvp, but pvp crashes more often.
WHen it happens, I hear no sound from the game, I can normaly talk with friends on teamspeak.

I deleted local.dat(which is in profiles and not near gw2.exe by me). Nothing changed.
I had my firewall in router disabled all the time, so nothing changed in this point. I dont have any SPI checkbox in my router settings.

I will not change anything else at the moment, because all was working before and during Halloween content. Exactly after patch started this.
Black screen, no sound from game, I see only game mousecursor. My friend told me, that I quit from the game, so I was disconnected when it happens. Then I do alt+f4, run the game again and can play normaly until next crash, which is very random.

What I see as another problem which started together with this is that loading screen waits too long to show characters and when I wait on showed characterscreen little longer, button Play gets gray and I cant click it., so I cant join the game. I must restart the game complete.
I don´t have problem in other games – Dishonored, WoW, BF3 etc.

I will appreciate any HELPFUL advice from Anet staff since I paid for game, which is broken now right after patch.

Its definitely GW2 problem, I changed anything and since last patch I have black screens very often while logging(I cant go into character selection, or it keeps black screen too long) in or when I play. Now I was in pvp with necro and had 5 black screens in 15 minutes. I see only mouse cursor, I can move with it, but no sound or anything else displayed. Never had this problem.
