In my opinion, you have yet to see what ascended gear really is; minus one ring comparison (WITHOUT the infusion upgrade). Therefore any opinions about how bad or good they are is irrelevant because you have no experience with them. Form your opinions after you have time (or not enough time) to test them.
Stop getting your kittens in a bunch. You guys read one little article and think the whole world is ending. No one is making you do anything. You people are never happy. One second you are kittening about nothing to do in game, next its about a “gear grind”.

Gear threadmill is a system which “you must have gear X to survive content X”.
We can do all content with exotic (or even masterwork) gear. So its not a gear threadmill of any sorts.
It isn’t even out yet, you as a player; casual or hardcore, have no clue what this is until it is released. Therefore your opinion on why this is good/bad or why you want/do not want it is plain invalid. You wouldn’t take advice about heart surgery from someone whom doesn’t have a PhD would you? Yeah. Me either. ANet knows what they are doing. They know that most of their player base is casuals. They do not want to make them quit because then they would be losing half (if not more) of their income. Sit back, trust ANet to do what they learned to do, and enjoy the game. When this new content comes out and you have experienced enough to have an honest opinion on it, only then should you give it.

Beat it multiple times as the biggest norn warrior you could find. Please put all tears in this bucket here hands out bucket I will drink them later.
It was pretty easy once I figured out the best places to jump from.
I came to the forums to make this suggestion. Same locker as PvP but gear for PvE.
I like signet warriors, they make me look better! Really though…stop it, 5 signets is near useless outside of soloing content.

Toughness would be nice. I made this yesterday and was super sad to see condition damage on it. As a warrior I have literally no conditions that do damage with a hammer so this is a wasted stat.
As some one who has trouble right clicking/holding, this mod would help tons. +1 from me!
Explorer’s gear gives 18%, two weapons for another 6%, Superior Sigil of Luck for 15%, Accessories gives 15% with another 18% from gems, runes give 60%, and then there is food for 30%.

162% bonus magic find
Two areas in Maguuma that a lot of people miss are Aurora’s Remains (path right above the skill point in Toxal Bog(southwest side of map)) in Brisban Wildlands and Calx’s Hideout(need to do an event for Pranna to unlock her Asura Gate) in Metrica Province
I love the idea of the traps and ladders for WvW Kite!
New Effect: Overwhelming
Reduces all damage taken from AoE abilities by 10/20/30/40/50% and the duration of all hostile conditions by 5/10/15/20/25%.
Progressively granted to enemies during dynamic events that are consistently beaten to make them more challenging.
Does not a harder fight make. Just a longer one. Would much rather see a damage increase instead of condition duration increase. Maybe some Elite monsters(step up from Veteran) too!
New Feature: Build Slots
Players may now link, save, and recall character builds. Additional slots can be purchased through the Gem Store.
I like the idea of getting more things in to the Gem Store, but no on “dual specs”. It would need to still cost you coin to switch ( like it does now) otherwise it would give advantage to people who buy these slots over someone who did not which is what this game is against.
Now to add something!
WORLD VERSUS WORLD
- Redesign: Outmanned Buff
- Now increase damage done by 5%/7%10%/12%/15% to the team with significantly fewer players.
- Now decreases damage taken by 5%/7%10%/12%/15% to the team with significantly fewer players.
- No longer grants Magic Find, Karma, and Influence.
This change would help shards that have the skill, but not the man power (read: under populated shards) to be able to compete with other shards. Would also help the “night capping” that some people are taking a disliking to (personally I like night capping, you have to either cover those weaknesses or prepare to lose some ground).

As someone who has leveled both Jeweler and Armorsmith (and weaponsmithing/cooking…but who cares?):
I was surprised that I had to use ectos for my last 25 points in jeweler, but let us take a look at an optimal path for the last 25 points in both of these.
For Jeweler you have to use:
- 1 Embellished Brilliant Recipe to match the choice of crystals. (231 karma)
- 3 Glob of Ectoplasm
- 15 Crystals that you decided to use with the recipe
- 3 Mithril Figurine (6 Mithril Ingots or 12 Mithril Ore)
Discover/ craft 3 Embellished Brilliant gems and boom done! Level 400!
For Armorsmithing:
- 2 Intricate Silk Insignia recipes (1344 karma or 672 karma each)
- 30 fine mats of each matching the two insignias (60 fine mats total)
- 12 Bolt of Silk (24 silk scraps)
- 8 Mithril Ingot (16 mithril ore)
- 44 Spool of Silk
Craft 2 Mithril Boot Casings, 2 Mithril Boot Linings, 2 Mithril Gaunlet Plates, 2 Mithril Gauntlet Linings then use the discovery pane to combine those with the insignas.
And then you are at 400 for that!
If you really want I can do the prices taking the cheapest of each from the TP if I straight up bought them (You should place orders for cheaper prices).

For Jeweler 375-400:
- 3 Glob of Ectoplasms = 72s15c @ 24s5c each
- 15 Crystals(Sapphire) = 16s65c @ 1s11c each
- 12 Mithril Ore = 2s76c @ 23c each
- 231 Karma
For Armorsmithing 375-400:
- 30 Large Fangs = Roughly 30s @ 1s each
- 30 Potent Venom Sacs = Roughly 38s40c @ 1s28c each
- 24 silk scraps = 6s72c @ 28c each
- 16 mithril ore = 3s68c @ 23c each
- 44 Spool of Silk = 24s @ 4s80c per 10 (6 left over)
- 1344 karma
So Jeweler vs Armorsmithing 375-400 total costs are:
Jeweler = 91s56c and 231 Karma
Armorsmithing = 1g2s80c and 1344 karma
So as you can see Jeweler 375-400 is not getting hosed, in fact it is roughly 11s and 1000 karma cheaper than Armorsmithing.
TL;DR??
Jeweler is about the same cost as Armorsmithing.
