See the question to this argument is how will new players get into end game content without the “HELP” of the dungeon rewards we use to have back then?
Okay fine Anet, I get it, you want people to move to Raids and Fractals, but how are you gonna convince new players like friends of mine whom I’ve convinced to give it a try, pay your game when dungeons are barren now? Dungeons help new players get into the game, dungeons help new players improve on their own class and equipment, and Dungeons help them level up faster than the daily xp books you have given (which btw new players can’t get until they buy the bloody expansion).
I learned most of the game through dungeons, the people i’ve dungeon with. And by nerfing the Dungeon you’ve basically killed a part of a community that has been doing it since the launch of Guild wars 2.
I’m really really sad and disappointed about the nerfs in dungeons. It felt very uncreative for Anet to just nerf it to the point where in its really hard to get a group for a good run.
I’ve convinced a couple of my friends to try Guild wars 2 since it was already free to play, but had a stopping point when they wanted to try out the dungeons the game has to offer. It left me thinking if I should tell them that barely ANYONE is doing one or we go there and sit for about half an hour waiting for people to join in.
Anet please, I know the upcoming raid and the new fractal is the end game. But to nerf one over the other is a really terrible and stupid idea. Have you ever considered about those who cannot Fractal or raid because they’re just starting out?? Dungeons is the only place they’ll land until they put enough time and effort to the point they can do Fractals and Raids. But because of the nerf barely anyone or few are still doing it, I tried it myself, I waited for about half an hour before someone was even interested in joining in my party and before that we decided to quit.
