Pvp, a prisoner's dilemma comparison.

Matchmaking system is broken. This should be pretty obvious. As a semi-competitive player, I openly aknowledge that I will never be competitive. I will never win consistently. I will merely be “good” and that’s the best that I’ll ever be, but I’m hardly even that. Thing is; I want that legendary backpiece, or at least to get as close to it this season as possible. I predict there will be more opportunity for me to get more tickets in future tournaments, so I generally want to play this casually. Thing is, I have trouble getting with a group of friends willing to play as casually as I. It seems like I’m stuck between a rock and a hard place in terms of casual players willing to take me up in their team who don’t care enough to communicate on mic (or even be able to queue for ranked) and being cast aside from more capable groups because I main thief.

But this isn’t about me, it’s about the system as a whole. I’d like to propose a model to look at the system we have now, in comparison to the prisoner dilemma.

The prisoner dilemma is as follows:

“Two members of a criminal gang are arrested and imprisoned. Each prisoner is in solitary confinement with no means of communicating with the other. The prosecutors lack sufficient evidence to convict the pair on the principal charge. They hope to get both sentenced to a year in prison on a lesser charge. Simultaneously, the prosecutors offer each prisoner a bargain. Each prisoner is given the opportunity either to: betray the other by testifying that the other committed the crime, or to cooperate with the other by remaining silent. The offer is:

If A and B each betray the other, each of them serves 2 years in prison
If A betrays B but B remains silent, A will be set free and B will serve 3 years in prison (and vice versa)
If A and B both remain silent, both of them will only serve 1 year in prison (on the lesser charge)"

Because betraying a partner offers a greater reward than cooperating with him, all purely rational self-interested prisoners would betray the other, and so the only possible outcome for two purely rational prisoners is for them to betray each other.

Lets rewrite this to apply to the leaderboard system.

“Two teams are trying to advance in pvp. Each team is interested in advancing to the next rank by earning pip score. They need approximately 5 consistent wins in order to progress to the next tier. However, because each team is matched based on MMR ranking, the team with the lower MMR rank will be matched with similar ranks. Instead of winning against steadily higher MMR rankings in order to progress, however, the teams have another option; they can throw games. When a team throws games, then suddenly wins a great deal of games, they not only have an easier time winning games, they also, when matched with a high rank MMR team, have the opportunity to gain TWO pips (at the expense of two of the fairly playing team.) Lets assume both teams are equally capable of progressing to the next rank.

If A and B team each abuse the MMR system, each of them will progress normally after spending significant time losing MMR. When they fight, one team will win, gain one pip, where the other team loses and loses one pip.

If A team abuses the mmr system but B team does not, A team will gain two pips on a win and B team will lose two pips. It is also not unheard of for A team to lose nothing to win and B team to gain nothing.

If A and B both do not abuse the system, each of them will progress normally, when they fight, one team will win, gain one pip, where the other team loses and loses one pip.

Sound familiar? It is not only rational to abuse the system, but it’s unfair to everyone else trying to play fair. Don’t you think?

This build is good against:
1. Groups of people in team fights.
2. Builds that use NPCs for DPS or support
3. Aegis, as the build doesn’t rely on burst damage, as well as blind for the same reason.
4. Most classes.
5. Noobs.

This build is bad against
1. Any kind of block or lots of CC.
2. Power engineers, some ranger builds, and some guardian builds.
3. Heavy burst damage.
4. People who actually know how to play.

TL:DR Invigorating Precision based build is actually pretty solid when it’s built right.

General gameplay tips:

1. Using the right race is important with any pvp character. Tanky classes would benefit playing as charr or norn, while squishy ones like thieves would benefit from rolling smaller humans or even Asuran characters. This became such a problem that Arenanet opted to add an option to make all characters human during matches.

2. Know your limits. Never pick a fair fight unless you have to. Fight on points, and if you go down, try and make sure that the point stays uncapped as long as possible by sitting atop it.

3. A majority of this build requires constant dps to be healing. Try and get as much dps in as you can, and you’ll be rewarded with additional health.

4. Try rearranging your keyboard scheme to be more intuitive. WASD are my movement keys, and so skills 1-5 are set to Q, E, Z, X, C, respectively. And 6-9 are set to 1-4.

Video? I’ll likely work one one in the future. In the meantime, I hope to see you all in the arena.

Equipment:
Short bow is almost required for any self respecting thief (Unless they’re trying something silly with a mainhand pistol) as it allows easy map navigation, assists in quick escapes, and more build specifically, an easy ranged way to pick health off from faraway groups of targets. Regardless, I fitted it with Sigil of Force and Accuracy to improve my healing output as well as damage potential.

Sword/Dagger is a bit more out of personal preference. High damage cleaving hits provided by the autoattack give good health back from clusters of enemies as well as the mobility that Infiltrator’s strike offers. Flanking strike combines a boon rip with a dodge (Great for most boon reliant classes like guardian and elementalist.) Finally, Dancing daggers provides a good boost to your health due to the multi-target potential and ability to cripple (allowing you to keep a bit of distance.) Cloak and Dagger is unfortunately too high cost and low stealth for me to find it effective, but those with good initiative management might be able to get away with using it to dodge out of fights instead of blinding powder. Personally, I’m only one to run from a fight if I’m out of initiative, so I hardly ever get value out of using it.

Of course, this is more for personal preference. As far as the sigils go, however, generosity and accuracy are great for dealing with condition damage, and with near constant crits, you’re usually ditching them onto whoever you’re fighting faster than they can apply them.

Assassins Amulet provides solid assassins stats, thereby increasing critical chance and vastly increasing viability when combined with Practiced Tolerance. Despite having less damage output than Berzerker’s stats, the sustain that comes with it is invaluable to the build.

Rune of the Traveler is probably the thing I’m most uncertain about running. It offers a 25% increase in movement speed in exchange for some significant stats. After trying rune of the pack, rune of the eagle, and rune of the scholar, I personally found that Rune of Divinity offered the most secure means of staying alive and still dealing solid damage. However, I personally deemed a movement speed buff to be worth more in terms of utility than extra stats, but I wasn’t willing to drop signet of Agility for it.

Utility Skills:
Signet of Malice provides solid heal-on-hit that’s a little less random than Invigorating Precision. Of course, it’s important not to pop the skill unless you’re no longer going to deal continuous damage. (Like when you have to turn tail from a fight) Overall, it synergizes well with heal on crit by supplementing a little extra.

Shadow Refuge is one of the best thief utility skills in the game. With almost 8 seconds of stealth, it allows you to travel about the map in style.

https://dviw3bl0enbyw.cloudfront.net/uploads/forum_attachment/file/43847/gw011.jpg
[Pictured: BAMF]

Blinding Powder is one of those more controversial picks. I’ve found it’s saved me countless times when the heat gets turned up. A good blinding powder, however, can be the difference between stomping an opponent or joining them in death. It’s also great for quick revives and heals. Also, with the correct timing, it can be used to interrupt enemy stomp attempts on teammates who are autoattacking.

Signet of agility is a solid pick because it not only raises critical chance (and health when running Practiced Tolerance) but also provides a cheap condition cleanse for pesky conditions when backing off from a fight.

Thieves guild is likely one of those underrated elites. It not only confuses AI, but also might confuse your opponent too. Oftentimes I can cast it in stealth only to down someone a moment later because they’ve blown all their cooldowns on killing off the thieves. The thieves also come equipped with moderate to good damage potential, as well as scorpion wire for interrupts and CC. A good alternative might be Dagger Storm for its reflect potential and high yield for stolen life, however, it tends to be a bit more situational than thieves guild is, which works well for groups as well as difficult one v one situations, which Dagger Storm lacks. Basilisk Venom, while being good for CC, is far too easily blocked by Aegis and also requires certain traits to be good.

What’s up fellow thieves?

I’m here to talk about a rather interesting twist and perhaps a new style of play compared to the current meta for pvp thieves. Lifesteal Thief.

Are you tired of getting rocked by guardians? Want a bit more survivability when you don’t have the first hit? Are high dps counters like blind and Aegis ruining your day?

You’re in luck. With the Lifesteal Thief, you’ll be making guardians give up, rangers rage, and turret engis cry in distraught shame.
My version if the build is S/D SB, however, any combination of weapons will work fine, however, I encourage the shortbow because of the mobility it brings to the table.

Let’s get started. http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fZAQNAsYVl8Mp8pdPxwJsPNBMRt9yVBdIXrg2JQEEAA-TZBBABAcKAEc/ByLD03DAIgjAAA

I know what you’re thinking “Eww, Invigorating Precision? Assassin’s pendant? Sigils of accuracy? Rune of the Traveler? who doesn’t run venoms? And thieves’ guild is the worst elite!”
Hear me out though, it all serves a purpose.
Overview:

This build is an early attempt at trying to min-max damage-to-healing ratio while still offering incredible mobility as well as gaining the upper hand in one-v-one situations. It makes heavy use of healing on hit, and man does it hit hard. A good deal of sustain comes from being able to deal constant damage to the enemy, and having a couple stealths to secure a kill or get away. As a result, the surviving most encounters is easy, even if you’re on the losing side, as long as you’re dishing out damage or remain in stealth. The build also isn’t designed to deal as much damage as possible, either, but to merely stay alive long enough to deal significant damage.

Naturally, this build all about being able to crit near constantly to get the most benefit out of having a series of on-crit bonuses. And at 79.95% critical chance (At idle), you’re able to go through players like a hot knife through butter, without wasting any benefits that fury provides (not going over 100% crit chance).

Sigils of accuracy ensure you’re hitting those crits and seeing your traits pay off. Despite being a “worse” combination (Lower flat dps than running berserker amulet and sigils of force), they provide a great deal of sustain for thieves that rely on being able to crit reliably, such as this. Despite being a 6/6/2/0/0 build, it continually proves to be quite a good balance between lethality and survivability.

https://i.gyazo.com/0fe96b9e93373a5f3522f1ab8233f76f.png
[Pictured: Stats. Note that crit chance. Mmm]
Deadly Arts:
In this traitline, I’ve selected mug, sundering strikes, and Panic strike to be my first trait set. Mug is a fairly decent immediate heal, and at 2k, it’s almost more worth it to regularly use it instead of your heal skill in a clutch situation. Sundering strikes might be a controversial pick, but I personally find it synchronizes well with the rest of the build by consistently placing a condition on the target (Which exposed weakness can take advantage of with an extra 10% damage.) Panic strike is one of the best grandmaster traits for the Deadly arts line, (Because, honestly, we’re not running venoms so Residual Venom need not apply and the debuff associated Revealed Training is honestly something to be avoided. 200 power for 2 seconds just isn’t worth a good escape.)

Critical Strikes:
Secondly, in this line, we have Practiced Tolerance (survivability!), Critical Haste (amazing synergy.) and Invigorating Precision (lifesteal is god here).
Assuming you deal 2.5k in a crit, Invigorating Precision returns about 375 health, in addition to Signet of Malice’s 139 per strike. So, with most attacks that you deal are going to return about 514 per attack. The beauty of it, however, comes with fighting groups of people. If you’re able to focus and attack two targets at the same time, (IE, engineers, minionmancers, shatter mesmers, rangers, (spectral?) guardians, and other thieves that run thieves guild, as well as multiple opponents.) Every swing of your sword or autoattack of your SB that’kittenting more than one target returns you twice as much health and deals double damage to whomever you’re fighting against (Divided amongst them). 514 attack now returns 1028 for two targets and 1542 for 3, etc.

A good strategy to use to your advantage is to swing wildly at any of the opposite team who dares try to heal their ally. This not only keeps them from getting rallied, but also can do massive damage to the person doing the healing, subsequently healing yourself and giving them a bad time.

Shadow arts:
Finally, in the Shadow arts line, I run Master of Deception in order to get quicker access to both Blinding Powder and Shadow Refuge. Of course, this is a malleable part of the build, however, easy access to stealth provides safe map mobility, quick escapes, and kitten adversaries. Never underestimate the power of a well-used blinding powder.

Funny! That looks just like the ticket I submitted when I had multiple soulbound infinite harvesting tools. Exchanging those for gems I can understand when they changed them to account bound. Exchanging a second incinerator for a bolt…not so much. If that’s the case, Anet please take one of my Infinite Lights and give me a Mjolnir. That would be swell.

At least your legendaries are account bound and you can change stats on the fly. Try 2 soulbound Infinite Lights or any expensive soulbound item you may have 2 of.

I built two incinerators.

Why are you so kittened off?

At the current tradepost price, the incinerator is worth about 3100g or so. At current exchange rate of 1 g to 0.18 USD, just one cost about 558 USD in gold.

But you can give your legendary to your other characters!

Ascended gear can be given to other characters, so I didn’t pay 3100g to have that skill.

But you can trade and swap stats on it all you want.

I didn’t spend the thousands of hours to grind a weapon that can swap stats on the fly, I spent all that time to have matching skins. It costs me 62g to craft another one. 22g for the Deldrimor steel required, 2 for the dusts, and about 38g for the Inscription. Even if I used the feature, the dagger comes with 18 unique stat combos. Each would, again, run me about 62g. 18*62=1116g. Assuming I cared about having access to each and every dagger combo in the game, which I don’t, I would still be shafted out of around 2000g. All I wanted was the skin.

Recalibar.6482

I was originally one of the people who created matching legendaries… one week before the announcement of the wardrobe.

And OP is right. People just don’t give a kitten. Whenever I try to explain, “Hey, I was basically cheated out of 500$ in gems worth of work…” I only see “Well, stat changes are with the 2000g it takes!” Which, objectively, is false (52g crafting cost times 16 stat combos equals 832) or “Oh well, sucks to be you” as if it was my fault and I could have prevented it “had I played the game properly” or some other crap.

After that, I stopped caring about legendaries. And mostly, Guild Wars 2 in general. I sent in a ticket and they refused to reimburse me, and I told them off by saying I would no longer spend my usual 20$ every month in their cash shop, because there’s very little I can otherwise do, I suppose except enduring the contempt of the community here when I explain my problem.

So, I was pretty bored tonight, so I thought I’d roll a fresh human mesmer. However, I saw the strangest thing after leaving the tutorial instance. Immediately upon walking across the initial bridge, I saw a surge of players bustling about.

Now, I thought this was unusual considering this was only one of many heart quests located in the area, but this one in particular was one of the most populated I saw, and with people constantly actively interacting with the quest. In fact, this was pretty much one of the only places I saw players running about.

New players, level twos, would run right on past me and get started interacting with the quest, then disappear before new ones came running along. And, also strangely, I noticed that they usually had strange names as well. Names like “Illustrious key” “Precious key” and many others that included the word “Key” in them.

Is there something I’m completely missing from this? I’m not sure exactly what’s going on, but I’m quite frankly very disturbed. Is this some sort of cult that exists within the bowls of this community? Some sort of bot activity? I can’t imagine this being a very exciting or lucrative way a player would spend their time.

I’m very concerned.

I see people here with very wide opinions about what direction GW2 should go in. I also see people requesting features that I know many people would actually despise, and there are many more features that Arenanet has implemented into the game that many people believe goes against the philosophy of the game.

My question to you all is; what features do you not want to see placed into Guild Wars 2. Feel free to elaborate. Some of the polarizing features I think about when I ponder this question are often:

Mounts
Gear grind
Level cap expansion
Zerg content?
Difficult content
More temporary content
6+ member dungeon parties
Volunteer subscription fees
Pay-to-access zones

Feel free to explain your reasoning, and include some features I didn’t list. I’m very interested to put together some of the different opinions this forum has. I know many people wouldn’t mind some of the things on the list I’ve mentioned, but I know others would quit over it. What are your thoughts? Again, this is not what features you would like to see, but what features you do not want to see.

I would like to see Less gold chasing more goods. I.E. Increasing gold sinks in the economy and giving less gold to players, while giving better loot and more rewards, providing effective means of attaining those rewards.

Deflation, or what I’m describing, increases the real value of gold. This allows a person to buy more goods with the same amount of money over time. Every time a good is exchanged over the market, the TP strips a bit of the profit, which is more than effective at reducing the overall gold supply in the market.

Recalibar.6482

With this new patch, I’d thought I’d give warrior a shot just so I could level up. Before this, I did a bit of pvp off and on with the class, mainly because I wanted to switch things up and try a bunker build on points.

Now, before this, I always thought of the warrior as one of those generic “I can’t make up my mind” sort of classes, so playing though the game, I’d scoff at the people asking for Warriors in dungeon parties on the LFG menu, and brazenly proclaim that they were elitist pricks that destroyed friendly community. I main a thief, which has some pretty high dps in solo situations, and is excellent for pvp roaming and content skipping.

However, when I leveled up my Warrior (In EOTM, lol) and I started stacking on the zerker gear, I was shocked at how much damage I could rack up using a GS/LB combo. I’m now pretty hooked on the class from the sheer mobility, easy damage, and synergy it has with other classes.

Then I ran a dungeon with the elites. Before this, I’d only been in a few parties, and generally switched my ascended Celestial thief equipment with squishy zerker gear. I saw a few times first hand just how quickly dungeons can be cleared with a full party.

But now I recognize the justice that is the zerker warrior. Making money has never been easier. Killing mobs has never been faster. Watching numbers jump higher than 31k and beyond has never been more enjoyable.

People will call me an elitist now, but godkitten is this class fun, efficient, effective, and just plain great. Now I can play the support I’ve always wanted to in GW2, and be just as valued by the team.

I built two Legendaries Q&A:

Why are you so kittened off?

At the current tradepost price, the incinerator is worth about 3100g or so. At current exchange rate of 1 g to 0.18 USD, just one cost about 558 USD in gold.

Don’t you get the time before all the fake Legendaries in order to join all the people running around with them? Nobody will take that away from you.

Maybe, but. I finished my legendary 2 weeks before the announcement of the wardrobe. And now I seriously wish I hadn’t. I wish I waited another 2 weeks, deleted my gift of incinerator, sold my spark, and used the fortune and mastery gift on something else.

But you can give your legendary to your other characters!

Ascended gear can be given to other characters, so I didn’t pay 3100g to have that skill.

This is just like when a game goes on sale. Are you going to kitten because you paid extra for the same product?

No, it’s not. It’s as if I strung two cable lines to my house in order to get cable on my both my TVs, each costing about 550$ and then a week later get a call that they’re upgrading my service so that I can get cable on both my TVs with only one line. And on top of that, Anet is fully capable of making having two incinerators worth something again, but they didn’t.

You will always have that best-in-slot Item, and when better weapons come out, you’ll have yours automatically upgraded!/What if they add extra effects during the summer patch?

I’m not sure some arbitrary promise is worth an extra 500 USD. Sorry.

What would make you happy?

Some sort of added effect like Eternity over the Twilight/Sunrise. Unsoulbind/Accountbind. Ability to transfer or gift it to another player. Some sort okittennowledgement that Arenanet is doing something to address this, to make us players in the small minority who’ve done this not feel like kitten because of this decision to craft two of the same legendary. Even if it is in the summer patch. Arenanet has reimbursed Dyes, town clothing on a case by case basis, and even dual BLC ticket claim skins. Seriously.

Sigh. ANET is not saying “kitten you”. It never has been. Your legendary is still there. If they add another level of gear, it’ll auto level with that. You have two daggers there which will ALWAYS have the best stats for daggers. How is that worthless?

The thing is, NOBODY else who hasn’t worked for the legendary dagger (or just bought it) has it. NOBODY kittenING ELSE.

I can’t go spend 62g on an ascended dagger and run around with that skin. I’ll only have it if I worked out the materials.

Because, to be honest, It would actually sort of feel satisfying to be able to smash that 500$ TV and drop the 11$ for the same result I would have already gotten thanks to the patch.

“If they add another level of gear, it’ll auto level with that. " is about the only reason that I’d hold onto it. As I see it now, I don’t care to be reimbursed. I just want a tiny bit of recognition for the hours upon hours I’ve sat and wasted my life on this game.

All I wanted was the skin.

And now all I want is to delete my second Incinerator, because it’s now useless and worthless to own. My only hope is that Arenenet recognizes this injustice and does something. Anything to fix this issue. Arenanet has been good about this sort of thing in the past by adding extra effects to Eternity over Twilight and Sunrise.

So please, please recognize that just because only a couple dozen players have accomplished this goal, does not mean that we should be ignored.

How is a legendary worthless to own?

You spent the time and money to make two, that’s more then some can every say to do. Unlike others you can go “I actually made my second”. instead of using the skin. You could put the second legendary on an alt if you really don’t care about the stat swapping, or keep them on your main.

I fail to see how this update invalidates your efforts or makes your legendaries worthless.

This is like complaining about buying something and then a while later it goes on sale.[/quote]

Eh, I’m probably just going to end up deleting it. It no longer has any value to me. If I have to tell people that “Oh hey, this one is real” it makes me seem like I have some superiority complex over other people who run “fake” incinerators. Do you realize how ridiculous it would be to link them in every dungeon party I group up for? That’s just facetious.

It makes what I did worthless because I spent 500$ on a skin. 500$ in gold. It’s now worth about 62g.

How would you feel if a cable company sold you a 500$ TV with a cable package deal, then 2 weeks later began selling the exact same product for 11$ to those who already paid for it? I’d bet you’d feel pretty kittenty too. It’s not a sale, it’s just a message that “kitten you, the months you spent grinding out every single material, every single mat, and every single requirement is now useless. Enjoy your game.”

Seriously. I built 2 incinerators. At the current tradepost price, the incinerator is worth about 3100g or so. At current exchange rate of 1 g to 0.18 USD, just one cost about 558 USD in gold.

I finished my legendary 2 weeks before the announcement of the wardrobe. And now I seriously wish I hadn’t. I wish I waited another 2 weeks, deleted my gift of incinerator, sold my spark, and used the fortune and mastery gift on something else.

I didn’t spend the thousands of hours to grind a weapon that can swap stats on the fly, I spent all that time to have matching skins.

That time is now useless.

Ascended gear can be given to other characters, so I didn’t pay 3100g to have that skill.

Stat-swapping is a poor, bullkitten excuse to pay even close to that much for the legendary.

I spent a real-life equivalent of 500$ on something I no longer even want.

A second incinerator.

I could give two kittens about it’s amazing ability to swap stats on the go. I can change it’s stat combination by spending another 50g.

If anything, that’s why I want to quit.

About that, Isn’kitten good thing to have two incinerators? I don’t understand this problem. To me I see it as, you’re done and set. You never have to worry about making one in the future if you ever did want a second legendary dagger.

50g ascended dagger crafting price is a lot more favorable on the wallet than a 3000g incinerator crafting price.

So you don’t care that when Super Ascended gear hits next year, you’ll have two Super Ascended weapons immediately and won’t need to spend the equivalent of $4,000 to make news ones?

That’s about the only reason I haven’t posted a video on youtube of me deleting my second incinerator. Arenanet has a good track record so far of compensation for this sort of thing. See Eternity’s extra effects over the twilight and sunrise.

Edit: Syntax Lol

I built two incinerators so that they both would match my gear.

I could give two kittens about how they have this amazing ability to swap stats on demand.

I always run them zerker. If I felt impelled to run anything else, I’d spend the 50-100g on building another dagger.

I’m half tempted to destroy one of the incinerators out of protest.

I built two incinerators. So, yeah…

But you know what, I’m still happy with these changes. Kitten to all these people who exclaim “What if I bought Flame and frost kits for all my characters! Why should these filthy casuals have access to the same things I worked hard to do?”

If you’re telling me you don’t want the pvp locker to be usable with pve just because you have the same skin for both pvp and pve, then that’s a net no-win situation for everyone.

I’d love to see the pvp locker merged with the pve locker. But I can also see a lot of pve players screaming about how it isn’t fair, for whatever reason. I just don’t want to see all my work in pvp be revoked, and i think a lot of other pvp players feel the same way.

With the removal of Dye’s from the random drop table will there be any change to the requirement of 250 dyes for the Gift of Color?

Yes. We just received verification from Dev that we will be reducing the amount of unidentified dyes needed to 100.

Excellent, thank you.

Glad to see I’m not the only one currently freaking out about the “no longer a drop item” on unidentified dyes in relation to making Bifrost.

I’m not one of those people that like to buy materials for a hard craft on the Trading Post unless it’s a serious time sensitive “MUST HAVE IT NOW OR NEVER” kind of thing, so I’ve been slowly just hoarding them in my bank from drops. I’m sitting at 113 of the 250 I need. This means that I basically have until April 14th or so to finish farming what I can of them then have to drop gold on the trading post to finish out the difference or waste my laurels on them? That’s a bummer.

I seriously hope that the no longer a drop item bit is reconsidered prior to the patch. I’d take a drop rate reduction over a complete removal a lot better. If not, then please at least consider a change to the requirements for Gift of Color.

Tif.

Yes, this is pretty much the only glaring problem that needs to be addressed. I wonder if they’ll remake the recipe or something. Aside from that, dye changes benefit everyone.

I like this new addition but the problem with this is people started to abuse the new information they got. So what happened now is all the common and uncommon dyes that are usually sold for coppers or a few silvers significantly increased the selling the amount by more or less a THOUSAND percent.

People seem to have the idea that when they unlock all the dyes on all of their toons, they will get a corresponding unidentified dye for each of the duplicate dyes they have in their account when they login to each of their toons.

For me, this sounds like an exploit.

You keep calling it abuse.

I’ll call it a smart capitalist investment.

Wow, listen to yourselves. Anet does something good for the whole community and now you’re just kittening that you didn’t get a better deal out of it.

Wow, guys. Wow.

You don’t appear to understand what people are saying. Changes to games like these are complicated with foreseen and unforeseen consequences. Even “good” changes have problems associated with them. Any other view is childishly simplistic.

I’m aware. It boils down to two different things.

1) Being kittened off because you feel you’re entitled to something that nobody else should have because you worked so hard to get it in the first place. Therefore they shouldn’t have it because you’re so much more of a special snowflake than they are.

I mean, why should filthy casuals get the same thing you did, right? Those people don’t deserve them.

2) Being kittened off because of prices. I mean, have you seen the prices on dyes? How are we ever going to be able to afford them? (Or just kittening about the prices because you didn’t “Get in on the action.”)

Give it a day to drop to half value. And another week for them to be back under 5s each. I promise.
