Anyways thank you all for the response and clearing the situation up. Still think its flawed but if it stays 0 then I guess I can’t complain.
It isn’t confusing if you changed armor and it cost but if it continuously says cost (even if it says 0 now) while only dying armor. That leads people to believe it will cost at one point in time.
Because the system is clearly flawed if it will not cost to dye your armor. Also causes much confusion.
I understand basic math. Thanks
Wow people keep telling me its 0. Yes I understand that but if I am only dyeing my armor why would it keep saying 0 if future charges are not going to be applied later. That is just stupid.
Wouldn’t it be smarter to not ask to dye armor with charges if it will never be charged in the future?
So why does it ask to charge each time you dye your armor if the system is free. Yes I clearly see its 0 now but why say charge?
Why would the dye system continuously ask if I want to spend transformation charges each time I dye my armor if it doesn’t change into the system later?
Free—Transmutation Charges!
As part of the Black Lion support for the Wardrobe, we’re happy to provide each account with five free Transmutation Charges! Act quickly – you only have until 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday April 16 to pick up your free charges!
Per Arenanet. It will be chargeable soon.
The new dye system is quite frankly a piece of crap to say the least. Everyone complained about not having account bound dye and they changed it to a even worse system then before. Before you just had to unlock all the dyes and you could dye your armor any time for free. Now every time you dye 1 piece of armor we all have to pay gems and or gold.
Now lets use logic here: Buy the dye in game then pay to dye 1 piece of armor every time we change armor colors .
Full set 6 transmutation charges (recurring charges each time you dye full armor set ) + buy the dye in game.
1 time dye unlock on each account and free dye change is much cheaper then every armor piece costing 1 transmutation charge every single time you change 1 armor color. I also feel sorry for people that like to change it up every day so your character does not look stale.
Thank you for everyone that complained to make the system even worse and thank you Arenanet for becoming a money grabbing company. I have been playing Guild Wars 1 and Guild Wars 2 since it first came out. Never thought something like this would ever be implemented by Arenanet. You seriously amaze me.
I’ve considered that it’s possibly because the game will only make use of 2 of my cpu cores and AMD cpu’s don’t have the greatest single core performance, but I’d like to know if I can get a better experience out of the game
There is sadly nothing you can do to help the performance accept overclock but it doesn’t help it much. I had a AMD 8150 oc to 4.5ghz and still my game suffered. I switched to intel i7 3930k and the performance boost was amazing. As you mentioned the AMD cpu has horrible single core performance and GW2 runs on a single core. The only way to get better framerates is to switch to intel. You could get the intel i7 3770 or the 4770 for better gaming experience. Or you could get the 3930k like mine. Hope that helps.
I have done the story quest solo on 3 different characters already. Maybe you need to work on getting a better build or getting fully upgraded gear Exotics/Ascended. Honestly the PvE in this game is not hard at all but you have to know how to play your character class properly in order to win. If you find it too difficult then maybe think about changing character classes. You might be better at a different class.
Did it resemble anything like this?

I saw the same mesmer tonight and a thief from BG doing this too. Reported them but who knows if anet will do anything about it.
Since the update everyone in town is holding their weapons including the npcs. My character seems normal but if you notice in my picture everyone else has their weapons in their hands even if its sheathed. I relogged and rezoned to see if it would fix but it won’t. Not sure if anyone else has this bug but let me know if you do.
PC specs AMD 8 core 8150 4.5ghz, 32gigs ram, and 2 radeon hd 7970s.
Go to your settings and adjust the amount of players you see. Just find the character limit and quality setting and turn them down and you should be fine.
This would be nice.
I remember seeing a guy get Dhuum’d for the first time and was hilarious because he was raging so hard then boom XD
I saw someone get Dhuum’d while waiting on a match in HoH it was quite amusing.
In guild wars 1 when a player was banned people called it Dhuum’d because Dhuum would ban you in front of anyone that was around. I would like them to bring Dhuum back in guild wars 2. Partly cause it is amusing to watch and also shows the community that Anet is helping make this game better by getting rid of bad/cheating players.
If you are unfamiliar with Dhuum then check out the videos.

I have played many mmos in my days and I have yet to see any of them have run slower while in combat. What is the point of a cripple or a snare if you run slower while in combat to begin with. Lets face it there is 1-4 snare skills for ever class and there is no point having “run slower while in combat”.
During the gw2 beta there wasn’t a slower running while in combat. Up until the last beta is when I noticed they put that system in. I never seen any problems when there was no running slower while playing WvW or PvE during the beta tests.

Everyone has played WvW and has been blindsided by a zerg. You try to run away and you are miles ahead of the zerg but someone shoots you 1 time and now your slower because you are in combat. Meanwhile the zerg catches up to you because they are not in combat at the time.
With all the culling issues and problems in wvw I strongly believe the “run slower while in combat” needs to be completely removed since you can be blindsided by a zerg due to culling. Lets not forget all the snares in the game! You get snared 1 time and you are done for if you are trying to get away from a zerg.
Please let me know if anyone else agrees that the run slower while in combat seems to just screw you over sometimes.
Are you not representing your guild with the other character? Thats probably why.
I was wanting to know if other people would like to have a slider for character draw distance in the options?
I remember playing the beta and seeing tons of people out in open fields from far away and it made the game feel more alive. Seeing people fighting in the distance and chaos happening from far away made me want to run over and help out. Since the games launch tho I have noticed they reduced the distance you can see players from. Sometimes this makes it harder in WvW and also you don’t see whats going on in the far distance when players are battleing in pve. In lions arch you can only see players from a few feet away and it makes it seem so empty at times. I know character/mob draw distance was reduced to increase players framerates. Some people have bought or built a new pc to see the game in its full glory and would like to see the players and mobs fighting in the distance. A slider that allows you to adjust how far you can see mobs and players would allow people with bad and great computers to adjust accordingly to thier needs or wants.
This quote came from a review on the game during the beta. “It’s about seeing a group of players fighting in the distance and wandering over to see what’s going down.”

I would love if Arenanet would take this into consideration.
