I can easily make 63 gold but I don’t want to grind golf to buy the items that I want!
Then you don’t REALLY have the right to complain. There’s an exchange rate available. You’re too lazy to do it. You want everything handed to you. Go play games that give that to you instead of mucking up our community with complaints and anger over the most ridiculous things.
So far by the logic displayed in this thread even a freaking expansion is P2W. Since they usually come with better items. So everyone who buys expansions is just a P2W noob. You know what? Let’s take it a step further. Since apparently the fact that there’s a kittening exchange rate between gold and gems is an invalid point and that doesn’t matter, the cash shop is still P2W, let’s say that buying the game at all is P2W.
And I’m sorry but if you don’t have the the ability to make 63 gold (currently what 1k gems is worth), maybe you don’t deserve the item anyway, and you’re probably the type of person that complains about how, long legendaries take to make.
Yes. The achievement isn’t permanent, but it’s been here for a pretty long time already, and I started on it last week, just got it today. After seven runs of the Marrionette. So complain more. But you’re just being ridiculous.
I love all the arguing in here because it really shows the average intelligence level of the gamers here.
Ignoring the fact that you can literally buy one of those sprocket picks for less than 70 gold on any given day, you are given a node of sprockets in your home instance for daily use as a reward for an achievement. So I don’t care HOW you define “pay to win” this is not it. Like what the actual kitten?
Second, taking into account that there is literally a way to exchange gold for gems, you are not gated from getting anything in the “cash shop” even if you are 12 and don’t have parents permission to use real money because you can use freaking gold. Why is this even an issue anyway?! Do you actually have nothing better to complain about?
Eh, I went back to Guild Wars 1. I’m still going to log into 2 to get my monthly and maybe a few dailies done, but having gone back to 1 I can say that I"m sorry I left, it’s something that I enjoyed playing for 7 years.
If GW1 was not a ghost town right now I would be playing that, all I have to say. Worst thing that ever happen to GW1 was indeed GW2.
I made a new character recently, I’m a level 20 Ranger. Working on getting all the mission s in Tyria completed. You’re welcome to play with me! Aiden Reichbane.
Wrong. Pets get rooted in place when they attack, while your target moves out of range. Birds have 300 range on most of their attacks and they STILL whiff 50% of the time. Ranged pets have generally pretty crappy dps from what I can tell, so problem is still there.
Wrong,The only time bird misses is when he uses the skill casted by the pet itself, and that happens once every…10-15 attacks? Not a big deal
Same goes for all other pets, autoattacks RARELY miss. Don’t base your facts on a BS video, try it yourself. Arguing that pets miss 50% of their attacks is BS, they hardly miss 1/10 with or without trait, but trait helps catching up your target faster so it boost the DPS against moving targets.
And devourers don’t make bad DPS, they are actually the best DPS against moving targets or mobs/bosses that hurt melee pets. Canines are also great because they cripple a lot.
Conclusion…want to get the most out of your pets? Learn to use them. Just like you can’t be in melee in many situations pets can’t do it either…you can’t expect a pet to go melee and survive to something that you wouldn’t survive.
I have been using my pet since BWE1 and he’s not wrong. I have also been on the opposite of the pet with my Mesmer, where I largely just ignore the pet as they aren’t a threat.
False. My eagle or reef drake can solo many classes, All I have to do is sit back and press a few buttons. Specced into BM you lose a bit of dps, but the dps you gain with your pet is phenomenal. The eagle can use his F2 every six seconds. This adds bleeds on top of the bleeds you can add with a shortbow. Going LB/SB with a pet can do wonders. Don’t underestimate it.
Pet built. Trust me. 0/30/10/0/30
I should mention, as a beastmaster, that pets are way more OP once you’re traited into them. I can send my Lynx into 5 mobs and go afk only to come back to everything being dead and my Lynx sitting there like “That was it? What’s next?” Group events are trivial with the heal on critical trait, I do supporting damage with my bow and he’ll chunk away at the bosses health. I do wish my character could do more damage though. Because my pet—traited for BM/damage—does more damage than I do—traited for condition or precision/power. That’s the only downside.
As much as I am incensed as well, can we cull the anger and hatred a bit? That does nothing but show us to be immature and unworthy of attention. If you’re going to be angry, do it with tact, not “oh you guys suck and you’re worthless I’m going back to WoW!” Because that’s just stupid and needs to be stopped.
That said, I was really hoping for some pet updates in this patch. I’m trying to damnedest to play a beastmaster build and it could be so much better with ai/pet bar improvements. Or a dedicated ranger weapon for beastmaster.
I seriously have no idea where you guys are coming up with this low sword damage… I consistently shred multiple enemies easily with the sword/warhorn. If I have a shortbow in my other slot I can start off with that to close the distance/cripple and then finish them with the sword/warhorn while keeping myself buffed with fury/swiftness/might.
I’m thinking about getting this weapon, I’ll see about getting the Karma together and getting a screencap of it for you.
Good question! For me it was pretty much everything about them! Their looks, attitude, values. All of it just seemed so much like myself, even the sexuality, though I consider myself more asexual than omnisexual. The armor looks really good on them too.
