The bunkers natural enemies, the ‘strong pressure’ has been CC’ed to death. Can’t have strong pressure when you are perma snared and spammed with stuns and knockback.

So what you got is a dominate role with no real predator.

If you want to nerf bunkers, allow warriors back into the meta.
If you want warriors back into the meta, get rid of all the ridiculously powerful CC and stability.


If you nerf bunker ele and bunker mesmer, everyone will be bowing to their necro overlords again.

AMEN!!!!!

Warrior is not that bad, other classes are just too good. (reapers, chrono, REVENANT, dh, druid, tempest, scrapper,dd)

That is a funny answer:
“Warrior is not that bad when he plays against… hmmm… hmmm well no one the other ones are just too strong…”
Being bad in such a game is a comparison statement, if you get rolled over by any other class… then the class is bad, period.
Warrior has nothing going on for himself in the specialization: no block, no invulnerability, no decent heal (yes the rage one is the worst heal in the game), no stab, no cleanse, and on top of it is supposedly somewhat of a condi build but puts 1 condi (burn), maybe two if you are lucky.
WTF is ANET DOING??? WAKE UP GUYS YOU ARE LOSING PLAYERS!

I think a break should be good. This meta is the worst since inception of the game. Being killed in 5 sec against a DH is not what I would call playing for example.

Anet is doing nothing and saying nothing as per usual and to me this seems enough. They could at least put up a message and say that they know and are looking at all these pretty bad downfalls, but no…
So disappointing….

Let me guess you guys play full meta and you are rolling over most teams you are playing?
The problem is that GW2 has a lot of solo players and they also want to play. You can incentivise all you want but when you have people playing 1h a day they don’t have the time nor the will to come up with line up to just play the league.
The main problem at the moment for me is the meta. That meta is ridiculous, DH needs a nerf from day one, pretty much everyone says it and Anet is still not doing anything. And that is not to mention about reaper, auramancer and revenant (to a lesser extent)
On the league side, the pairing is terrible, you get farmed even in the first level of the league. The pairing was supposed to bring you to play against same level players but it has completely failed. A part for the occasional games, most of the time you either roll over other teams or get rolled over. That is just not what I call a good pairing system.

Just my POV.

War berserker is indeed useless… as weak as you can imagine, no stab (yeah yeah you can without playing the rage, but then it is not quite berserker is it?) damages are ok at best, and toughness/resistance/cleansing are poor.
yeah yeah the torch can supposedly clear 2 condis, but when you play in a meta that requires you to remove 20 condis in a fight 2 ain’t quite gonna cut it, is it?
Zerker is just weak, I am sure it is strong in pve, since the AI is terrible anyways, that is not gonna be a problem to dodge here and there and unleash F2/F1 bursts. PVP-wise it is terrible

Necro does it all now, all condis, stab, crits and controls… why complain right?
Or you mean that DH downs you in about 2 sec if you walk into his trap?
Or maybe you were not thinking maybe about the elem that can tank 3v1?

It does not need rebalancing it needs revamping…

This meta is a disaster. 3 builds dominate the whole game by more than any other build ever did (even shout bow and d/d at their best)

This is not even mentionning about War being completely left out cause let’s say it loud and clear berserker s.cks.

This has been going on for over a month now and no rebalancing was made…. Anet stuffed up and they are doing nothing about this.
This makes me want to leave the game for good… (and apart for necro I play DH and elem, not that I am just a hater)

I am a main Mesmer/Guard but I do occasionally play war and I do agree with this post.
Warrior berserker is not scary at all, you have little way to stay alive and you do not burst more than other bursting professions (mesmer, thief, ranger, etc.).

Would be nice if ANET Could do something about it quickly!

Trapping mechanics break stronghold

The on spot damage that a lot of traps put out allow classes like DragonHunter to burst down the lord way to hard. The lord can not avoid these traps the way players can, condi trapper rangers have similar capabilities.

Can we tone down traps or improve the AI so that the lord does stand in these traps for their full duration stacking TONS of burning or taking tons of unavoidable damage?

Isn’t that the same for any sort of AOE?

I mean elem stacks burn like a champ with 2 zones for example and can freeze the lord…

You sound like you have been traumatized by a good DH and instead of finding a counter play you just whinge. Am I wrong?

SO TOTALLY AGREED!

Managing your energy bar is far more difficult than people realize. I read many times in this thread how the CDs are short for such amazing results but it happens quite often that you cannot cast your skills because you are running out of energy. Switching legend and weapons is where the difficulty is and it is not as easy as it sounds.

Also, the damage dealt by the 3 of the sword is good but is far from the efficiency of a good bursting profession.
A good mesmer will down you way faster than a good rev imo. A thief that backstabs like a champ will do the same.

Yes the rev. is maybe a bit easier to play than both these professions but I can tell you that rev. is not that OP. It has little stability (one skill and a trait when you dodge if I remember well) so you can CC him quite a bit. DH and Druid are way more OP imo but even then I really think that you can play around their strengths.

Anyway just my take on this topic

That skill is a jump that lands and puts down a zone. At the moment the zone does not appear where the revenant is landing down. It appears short.

- Forceful Displacement: this is the #2 of the revenant when you are on the ground. It supposedly teleport the stomper away from you to dodge the stomp. Well this is atrocious as it does not stop the stomp. So if you died close to an obstacle you still get stomped… so irrelevant… the stomp should be stopped.

The traps seem pretty weak. A part for one of 5 they do about 1K damage… even the elite…
Even a thief survives a trap easily… this is so pointless, I have just played for the last 4 hours with them, it seems pretty poor really, a fire zone from an elem (not elite) is stronger than any of the trap… that seems pretty unbalanced.
There is a trap that does literally nothing while the enemy is inside, only when the enemy tries to exit then he/she takes a poor 1.5K damage. There is no incentive for the enemy to try to get out of there quick… With a cool down of between 20-45 sec I don’t see how you down a War with rampage that has close to 30K life… Sure I also have other skills on my weapons but half my skills seem pointless.
The elite trap does not even compare with Rampage, the Lich or some of the weaker ones like the Moa etc.
IMO there is quite some work to be done on these, of course I am talking on the PVP side, on the PVE side the AI is not clever enough to know what is hitting it.

I don’t know what you are talking about if I use a trap while a player in on the ground ready for stomp, the trap does not trigger and that on all my traps.

Also the Vertu of Courage does not work while stomping. I use to be able to trigger it while starting the stomp and that just does not work any more. The icon looks like I clicked on it but then shows back as unused. This is pretty frustrating especially when playing against Engi, war, guard, ranger and necro

Also, the traps are bugged I think since when an ennemy is on the ground the traps don’t trigger.
This is pretty annoying when you had a tough fight and you want to use your heal but the heal does not trigger…

I’m a rage quitter. But I don’t quit if we’re outmatched in terms of skill. I quit when I see rampant kittenery in solo queue ranked which is completely out of my control. It’s frustrating when it happens, and when I bring it up, I get “kitten you noob.” So rather than beat my head against this sort of thing, I afk and pull up some Daily Show on my Ipad. Here is what I see time and time again:

-Late starts; people stand around at spawn and join the fight late resulting in a 50+ point lead before they deign to get off the crapper and join the fight
-kitten capping; two or more people capping an uncontested point. I saw my entire team capping home the other day, IN RANKED! Four people capping home uncontested while the other two points went to the other team without a fight while I get roflstomped solo
-Noone capping home; I see this frequently in Foefire where you need one capper and one to check for crossers
-Inability to rotate
-Not stomping downed players
-Not rezzing downed teammates
-Not standing in circles to contest a point
-Running into a 5 man zerg over and over again instead of rotating away
-Road fighting when caps are needed
-Support toons bunking home instead of mid because mid is too hard to bunk
-People testing new builds
-Not focus firing and/or ignoring a called glassy target
-Focusing the wrong target
-Allowing rangers to rapid fire from range uncontested

I could go on. You figure that you should know your kitten a small bit before queuing ranked. I don’t claim to know everything and I’m far from “pro.” But I am also far from the worst and many times very good to excellent. Most people just play completely kittened in ranked. I’ve been in so many matches where we completely stomped the other team from a dps perspective, but we still lost do to some of the above stupidity. I’ve seen it so often that I need Jon Stewart to soothe away my nerd rage while I afk from the “kitten you noob” nonsense.

This is such a noob post… the problem is that 95% of people don’t understand the matchmaking behind the scene… you ragequit/afk your MMR becomes really low and when it is really low… you get to play with really low MMRs… basically… with noobs…

There is a very interesting section that explains that when you keep playing at 4vs5 your MMR goes up. So stop ragequit and start playing even with noobs and you will see you will start to play with better players, and you wont feel like ragequitting anymore.

Personally I do get sometimes bad players but no way near enough to get to a state of mind where I want to ragequit…

Dishonor sounds good though because when you play 4v5 75% of a game a few times in a row it gets pretty frustrating.

Maybe my idea isn’t that great and manipulation could happen, but there has to be a way to handle this. Ranked tournaments is the “serious” part of pvp and people who want to be serious shouldn’t get impacted by behaviours like that.
Nobody has an good idea ANet could implement?

You could also have a temporary “non grouping” effect,
maybe a couple of days or a couple of weeks (who remembers who they blocked two weeks before :-))

My thought is that what should be is that if I block someone I should never end up in a game with that person ever, period!
That would solve the chain losses because you keep ending in the same game as that person.
What do you think?

Yo!

I was wondering if there is anything that is in the pipeline from Anet to address this issue.

Personally, I am so tired of players AFKing as soon as you make a move that they disagree with. Some people don’t care about their ranking and still play ranked (why? that is a good question) and for some reasons they just go AFK. Sometimes they rage quit but most time they just sits there and do nothing.

There used to be a “condition” to exclude such players if they did too many rage quittings half way through a game. Is there any chance we will get something that manages such horrendous behavior?

This is happening wayyyyy too much!

The only thing that needs to be toned down is the fact that Ranger is just an easy profession no matter what build you play.

They’re not that strong ATM but you can’t buff something that’s just flat out easy mode without reworking it into something that’s a little bit harder.

How Ranger is easy? Why Ranger is easy? Since it’s not, playing Ranger properly isn’t easy.

Agreed it is not, but it does way too many things well imo

I think that sums it all…
The Ranger does it all, including crits down a whole life bubble half way through the map… maybe someone should have done something by now…
It seems logic that a profession that is very (i think this is a complete understatement) good from afar should be mediocre or bad at cac, well no, it hits as hard remove all conditions and more. On top of it, it gets stability for some crazy long time, gets most of the boons and puts down all (or almost) conditions. And if that was not enough, when you are 1vs1 on the ground cause of a close fight, you cannot kill him/her cause of the pet regen… Sure they are killable sometimes, but maybe too much is just too much and someone should say something.
Most of the maps are widely open and you can just get spanked (or at least mid life) from a ranger before even getting to him/her.
Personally, I think this is enough and things should change, I am not enjoying this anymore, sure the regen of the war and the elem is over powered but at least you get to survive and play.

The wardrobe in itself… sucks (sry to use this term but it sums it all). You cannot do previews on the skins before applying them for a charge. (well… Ohh you mean preview right in the middle of the screen?? Well when I want to apply a torch skin to my torch and it is at my belt… I cannot see what type of flames it produces. Same for some scepters and staffs. I also cannot see what I look like when I hold my weapon in my hand).

Yes, you can preview all of these things. There are checkboxes for “Wielded” and “weapon only” in the preview window. That’ll give you your particle effects etc. If you click on each armor piece you want in your bank storage, it will also add it to your preview. You can customize to your heart’s content without ever spending a charge.

Sorry but I dont know what you are talking about… when I select a skin there is no way to see the wielded (etc…) tick boxes that are available usually when you right click an item in your bags/banks within the wardrobe.

Worst Patch ever IMO.

I have been playing since day 1 when the game got released and I was very very happy until this patch.

The wardrobe system in itself was not a bad idea but it brings really annoying problems such as in PVP you most likely don’t play the same weapons as in PVE… This forces you to carry extra stuff in your bags.
Also I really liked the fact that I could look like a bad boy in PVP and like an honest polite and helpful character in PVE. Not possible anymore unless I spend 5 transmut charges when I do the swap of environment.

Also there is no going back, you make a mistake…. you pay for it! LITTERALLY!
Plus once the transmutation has been done there is no notification on the item transmuted of the skin you used. Try to match your whole armor when you need to browse through your dozens of skins per piece! Terrible!!!!

It really feels like you guys (ANet) think we are cash cows… If you need more cash for the game to evolve do like other games (Wow, etc.) and release a new extension that we all be happy to pay for cause the work done is great instead of trying to find subtle (not subtle at all by the way) ways to force us into spending more cash. I feel OUTRAGED!!!!!!!

Also the PVP system was a master piece allowing players to tailor like crazy their armor set and stats. Now everything as been “plain-ified” and basically you are left with a limited set of full armor runes to chose from. Was I the only one to mix 2 different sets of runes on my armor? In addition, you can now buy extra competences that gives you an edge over your opponents… I thought that the whole point of the original system was that the outcome of combats was purely skilled and build based and not based on who had spent the most time in the game. (sry I am mostly a PVP player and I do not want to go chase 25 × 4 competence points to unlock the new trait available IN PVP!)

I am not even talking about town clothes cause I think most people got that pretty well explained so far (especially Charr.gardian on page 6 of this thread).

Finally, there has been WWWAAAAAAAAAYYYYY to many changes in one go for an average (non-hardcore) player (most of us) to follow everything clearly of what was changed.

I am pretty sure this is the worst thing that happened to this game, basically I personally hate it.
