Well this will suck, 2 guildies of mine run fotm dailies pretty much together every day. At about 20 T2+ daily runs one has 8 rings, the other has 0. And that’s just the daily for the necessary rings to progress in the dungeon.
Honestly the grind is slowly making this game feel more like a job, rather than a fun experience. I’ve already accepted i will never have a legendary, and as RNG becomes more relevant I’m sure the interest in returning to the game is going to quickly fade away. At least the token system gave me a reason to log in and do a couple dungeon runs on a busy day.
Thanks to everyone for the replies, i read and consider all builds and information provided. It is definitely good to hear a wide range of different styles with different reasoning, this will for sure help me figure out what style works best with what i am trying to do.
*/ Warhorn, specialized in condition removal with some heals. Take a look at the Yojack build, the topic for which is pretty much always on the first or second page.
For the offhand, you need a ranged weapon for melee-unfriendly bosses.
Has Yojack’s build actually been proven to be as efficient as it sounds?! In the post it seems he talks a lot about wvw, is the build still viable for dungeons?!
Thanks for the reply, since i don’t have the amount of free time to invest in the game that some do i am trying to get input on builds / weapon compositions to help maximize my usefulness to pve dungeon groups. Id prefer not to be glass cannon (unless someone can describe a build good enough without constant death) so heal shout seems to be at least a staple in what i am trying to do.
Hey guys,
To make things short and sweet i’ve been running a ton of organized fractals (and dungeons if guildies need help) and i was wondering what the most efficient weapon combinations for a heal shout warrior are to maximize their support. Hammer? Great sword? Mace/shield? Please give your opinions with some good input to back it up.
Thanks again!
I agree completely with drkn. Once i changed my warrior build from glass cannon to defensive heal shout (with other options to still maintain viable DPS) I rarely if ever die doing a dungeon run. This is with PUG’s 100% of the time. Even more rare these days is a full party wipe.
Dungeons are easy once you adjust your play style, build, and gear to be more fitting towards them.
I just ran Arah exp for my first time today and managed to have a successful run with minimal wipes. The two others and i were lucky enough to have two other people who had done the path before to explain the lupicus fight to us.
Honestly i wont be much help here because i’ve only done it once, but as a tanky specced warrior with DPS gear i managed to only be downed twice and never had to actually make a run back.
I guess i would suggest the high survivability is what makes the big difference in that fight? We did not have any endurance buffs or anything, and i was not even close to getting 1 shot by the projectiles in phase 2.
I can’t say much more for any class other than warrior, but a tankier build seems to be the way to go by far for him.
Hey guys, my playing time is pretty limited but when i do have it i’d like to do some runs. Pretty new to Arah exp (just did my first path today) but i’m a support DPS warrior. If i could get an invite that would be great, thanks!
I have personally had no trouble with any dungeon path exp or story. This being said no i am not level 80, no i do not have all rares, and i typically form groups to do the dungeons right when i am of capable level (Most of the time PUGs as well.) I also have not had a chance to do the level 70+ dungeons which i understand are much harder and rightfully should be.
Honestly the only frustrating group i have had that wiped enough times to become more than a nuisance was a revisit to AC story to run a friend through it with a PUG that seemed to have absolutely no idea how to play their classes. These guys couldn’t dodge, listen, and had no understanding of what a “boss” fight actually meant. Otherwise i’m 180 degrees on the other end of the spectrum, sorry bud.
Thanks for replying,
That’s honestly what i was thinking, i just haven’t checked. Is there a way to switch servers?!
Hey guys,
Although i haven’t had as much time to play these days as id like i just wanted to ask if the 45-60 level zones seem as dead to everyone else as they do to me? I’ve been finding myself doing a lot of dungeons mixed with my personal to gain my levels (which in all honesty i don’t mind, even though sometimes getting a group for a dungeon takes forever) but when I am running around the zones like Iron Marches or the zone south of Lions Arch (cant think of the name I’m too tired) i see almost nobody.
Even when there are dynamic events in these areas there seems to be no one around to do them. I was just posting to see if it is normal for the game to seem absolutely empty in certain zones.
I play on the server Fergason’s Crossing.
