Did it with my staff condi necro with no real issues. So far it’s actually been the easiest prof I’ve done it with. Just go heavy AoE, found the best luck with that.
I’ve done it on 3 toons so far (eng/rev/necro) and failed on my ranger. Seems if you just bring heavy AoE you should be able to do it. Kind of annoying.
Yea I gave up after 45mins on my Ranger. By the time I rezzed her the new wave was right there to kill her again. Didnt really have any problems on my Eng but she never died with that one.
And to clarify, I played wvw back in 2014 and got my mistforged daggers. Am a somewhat vet player to gw2 and played hours in wvw and i’m barely approaching rank 100. Obviously I enjoy more pve but if I can’t get these within the 100’s I’m not even interested in working for the armor.
Don’t work for T3 armor. Work for T2 armor and T2 weapons. You have plenty of stuff to collect before your tickets overflow.
If you play consistently and rank at a decent pace, you will reach rank 1500 without having run out of things to get. I’ve done the math.
What is a decent pace for ranks? I follow tags and try to do as much as I can roaming camps but I can barely get 2 ranks an hour. By my math it’ll take me over 800 hours to get to 2000 (almost 400 currently). Just for an ascended chest with cool wing thingies.
I’d be great if Tomes of Knowledge gave WvW rank, they’re so useless.
The cost for crafting is obscene compared to just buying the pre. For the juggernaut I spent over 700g to craft the precursor and I could have just bought it for around 500g. I was under the impression time spent crafting would translate into lower cost, I was incorrect.
Having just starting the legendary journey in the last day (TheJuggernaut) and almost done with volume 3 I can say without a doubt and in all seriousness Legendary Collections is not only a waste of time but a waste of gold. I started with a fair amount of mats but in crafting all the junk needed in volumes 1 and 2 I have gone well above the cost of simply buying a precursor. I dont even know what awaits me after I have the precursor in hand, I can only guess more gold will be needed. Time spent on this ridiculous collection track should equate to a lower cost but it doesnt, it doesnt in the slightest. Yea it’s cool going around and gathering/looking at stuff but we shouldnt be expected to pay extra for the privilege of wasting our time.
What bugs me the most is that I can only make 1 piece of Ascended mat per day (per type) but have 6 armor/weapon crafts. There should be 1 cd for each mat type per craft.
Any updates on this? Looked at the mats list and it’d be well over 2.5k to buy mats from the TP. Around 200 to just buy the staff.
Artificing, Weaponsmithing, Hunstman. If you have all 3 you should be able to have 3 charges for the timed mats. It just makes sense so why not?
