The best pve mmo in my opinion was finalfantasy XI. Was the only mmo that stayed true to the party system along with exploration. Other than the original EQ. Newer age mmos are too casual. They feel like a normal game, which is pretty lame. MMO’s used to be about the experience. Its a shame that I can’t appreciate guildwars 2 as much as i want to. The casual side of it outweighs the hardcore side of it. I really do enjoy the game. It just doesn’t give me any experience. Just feels like another mmo to me. Maybe with more updates or even expansions. I would assume it would get better. But who really knows. It’s up to anet. Keep it casual? or actually make it so skill applies to the gameplay? That is literally my biggest turnoff other than waypoints.

I spend more time praying that they make the game better than what it is, coming back update after update and being let down every time. Especially with the last wvw update. It just feels like they don’t care about it. Or that they only care about casual gameplay.
A while back Anet reduced confusion damage in sPvP by 50 percent because it is simply overpowered when used against other players. I see more and more mesmers spamming confusion in WvW that causes 1-2k damage per ability use. This is simply too much damage for a condition that can trigger 3-4 times per second. They should add the 50% reduction to WvW.
A lot of people say things should be nerfed because they are “too strong”.
It’s like people just want to be spoon fed everything now a days. If they lose, they just wanna win. They don’t wanna win through working for it, they just wanna skip that process. There are ways to combat everything in this game. Some are stupidly difficult i must say, but it’s still possible. Confusion is not one of those stupidly hard things to combat.
People need to learn how to play the game… That is the biggest problem in the gw2 community. I mean come on, it took til the last achievement update for more people to find out about comboing skills. People who played since launch with multiple chars didn’t understand that mechanic and finally learned about it. It’s a shame…
its mainly for cosmetics… not stats
as is pretty much everything else. considering stats just help you out. they dont determine success
with FoM VOIP is needed. you cannot coordinate with your teammates on the fly via text. I will never tough another PUG again for FoM. I ran pugs all day today and i got so angry i had to just log off and do something else.
The dungeons are pretty cool though, once you have a propper team that is.
Ran FoM Difficulty 1-5 with a pug. 1st pug had a 29 warrior. We were successful on every run. No voip was used.
I beat CM EM Asura Path 1st try with a random group. It was difficult, but you just gotta know what you are doing.
Back when we did it we got 36k exp 25 tokens and some silver. It probably gives more now depending on what level you are. Since it seems as if dungeon rewards now scale to level, which is awesome.
