This is a cart/horse issue. They first have to decide to release the game into other Asian markets. There isn’t a Korean language pack either. So until NCSOFT thinks it’s worth releasing the game into those markets, don’t expect them to work on a language pack. And if that comes to pass the likelihood of it being included for NA/EU is unlikely. Those game servers will likely be localized as well or maybe handled the same way as the EU region is with language specific servers since they have to be setup in groups of 3 for WvW. But Japan just got B&S so I wouldn’t think they would want multiple MMOs released near each other.
GW2 is quite different from traditional Japanese MMO, i m not just talking about RPG, but also other PVP/WvW type MMO
i highly doubt how success it would be in such a small market
we have more success with Korean type MMO localize in JP, than “western” type MMO,
and right, translating into other language is very costly, and voice acting is even more expensive
i really doubt it would ever release to Asian market, expect the China one
I bet the best would happen would be English base SEA server

trash mob are still pretty much 1hk even i m running with full rare/exotic
when i join all welcome, 1 mistake, the team wipe, everybody leave the party
i have study youtube, guide and still got wipe alot in AC, but ironically we dont wipe at boss, but trash mob
may be those “meta exp” group found it easy
but when i was in “all welcome” arent easy at all
it is strange, GW2 dungeon boss fight is much easier, coz you just need to read the animation to dodge the high hitting skills, while trash mob wipe you with number

Charr are feline, and asura are less humanoid than norn and sylvia
they dont have to follow humanoid gender difference
and i m happy with my asura body

that’s a problem keeping me from purchasing LS season 2
i take a long long break before LS even introduce and come back just less than a month
i enjoy personal story, i m not asking for SWTOR level of personal story, but i dont want to read up a missing episode which have spoiler for the Season 2
that’s what happen when i try to read through wiki about the background of Scarlet, it just show everything including Season 2
i wanna fill up the gap between Season 1 and 2, but in a way which there are no spoiler for Season for that i can fully enjoy LS Season 2 playing and match with HoT
I’ve been farming Cursed Shore this weekend. Usually there are a few players, who go in (on purpose, or not, doesn’t really matter) to defend, when the zerg is waiting outside for champions to spawn.
Most of the time many players start saying: ‘Out of circle!’, ‘Out of camp’, ‘Event needs to fail’ etc. After a few secs when the player(s) are still in the camp, escalates with cursing.
So, I wouldn’t be surprised, if before the whisper the op got, there were other players asking him/her to come out of the event area.when you need something from someone

If they start releasing really out of place junk like swim suits, I sure hope they give us an option to opt out of ever seeing it. Just a little check mark in settings that disables anything that isn’t lore and setting friendly, and I’d say sell anything that people will buy. But without such a setting, I would really rather they not.

I think the overall reveal armor no matter sexy level or quanity is just done about right. i dont prefer extreme exposed armor but a bit of chest hole, skirt embedd into armor design to make it look femaine and elegant is what i would love to se.
i m perfectly fine with those grasping head, Gladiator, Barbaric, Pit fighter type
but those korean MMO type like Tera, B&S…etc those arent sexy, those are more like sex clothes
and ya, i would like to see better swim suit, and more elegant skirt type armor
Ninjutsu actually were heavily influenced ancient China martial art especially the fighting monk
and Ninja is not limited to spy or assassination only
concealment is not the only skillset
karate, spear, martial art, staff fight, even poison
so a bo/kun/kon what ever you call the fighting staff is perfectly reasonable for thief class

Thief is the best roaming class for WvW atm, imo
it have many stealth, surprise attack, burst, reset, mobility
or may be mesmer, i m not very good at mesmer
but i have way better success and survival in thief and mesmer than my other class

really depend on what do you mean by easy in PVE
warrior, guardian and ranger can be quite tanky in leveling
but
guardian can be very hard to be “effective” in dungeon
i personally found warrior a great start, it have variety of skills, attacks and support
give you are better understanding of game mechanism
Is it actually true that downscaled toons are worse than intended level, or is it hyperbole?
I have ’t had much chance to look into it
i havent do any test
but my lv 80 can 1hit Queensdale low level wurm in the farm
while my lv2 cant
but ppl say the status is lower than a new characters
so i guess it is not just simple status downscaling, maybe some extra factor involve in that fomular

Chainmail Bikini Syndrome has been a plague on the fantasy community for so many years that it isn’t going away anytime soon. Love it or hate it it’s just the way it is. GW2 isn’t nearly as bad as most games in the genre. I would love to see more FULL coverage female heavy armors though, and fewer(none) exposed skin death traps, but I can accept that lots of people don’t agree.

Although I really like the “new” daily achievements and reward system I tried to raise a complaint in the direction of Anet. However Anet doesn’t have an official complaint line and they advised me to use the forums.
Well here is what is annoying the crap out of me lately. I can understand that fractals is part of the daily system. However what I don’t understand is why there have to be two fractal achievements in one daily achievement? Is there really nothing else what can be chosen as a possible replacement? I thought the daily achievements had to be fun and stimulate people to login every day! If I understand correctly the daily achievements are picked randomly, but why do I see so much fractals in my daily achievements? Is this my bad luck or……………..?
I hope other people have the same feeling about this.

Carapce chest piece is one of my favorites, full coverage AND sexualized because it fits like a corset. Kurzick was another of my favorites in GW1 (butt floss and all) because it was also practically full coverage and WAS full coverage if you went with Kurzick elite.
GW2 has skirts, skirts and more skirts. Some of them do make you character even look like a can of metal (Forgeman and Fire Legion anyone?).

I think your complains have more to do with the lack of female sexualized armors in gw2, rather than a real problem of lack of inspiration or good designs.

Why not make a Hard Mode like in GW1?
Redesign all of the dungeons and make them challenging (as in REALLY challenging with new mechanics and not just double HP). As for rewards, maybe double tokens (or special tokens), double drop/loot, more gold, more APs, possibility of ascended gear loot, etc.
That way, casual gamers won’t be missing out a lot, they’ll just make slower money than a hardcore gamer. And they will also have the choice to try and challenge the HM without being “forced” to play it as the rewards would be the same in the end (only the quantity changes).
Why pick between casual or hardcore when we can do both?
In my opinion, instances are the best way to introduce a hard mode and challenging group content.
i have been leaving the game over 2 years
and recently came back
i say dont feel it is easy at all
just today, my pub-team got wipe over and over in CM explorer mode
it take us about an hour, dying more than 6 times to fully complete 1 path
and CM is just an low level dungeon
on the other hand, i have more success at FFXIV endgame dungeon
i mean in GW2, i dont found “tank” “heal” DPS" role, unlike traditional MMO you just do your role and dodge the boss attack
so back to the topic
i think personal story is not about challenge, but more for player to understand the lore, the world, and get immerse to the world
even traditional MMO are like that, FFXIV, SWTOR, main quest are so much easier, compare to endgame content
and i dont found personal story just AA or 1-1-1-1, at least not for my engineer, i need to dodge, i need to stack boom, i need to remove condition, if i just spam 1, i wont even survive the three Order personal story
i do not object adding hard-mode dungeon, but it must be treated carefully, not to become endless gear grinding
for example FFXIV, there are newer, better, higher rating top gear every single patch, to get those gear, you have to do the same top level dungeon everyday, and because the increasing difficult of new dungeons, there are gear check, you need a fix group of players, and if you miss a week, you are falling behind, new players are not able to get any of those running lower level dungeon.
GW2 shouldnt turn into such, i think the reward of hard-mode should be also accessible by normal-mode, so hard-mode could give more token, more gold, nothing unique
vet player can run hard-mode till they feel bored and ask for more, while more causal player wont feel falling behind
the original intention for EotM was for it to be a place a player can go if he can’t get into WvW. but ANet made blunder by allowing players to get directly into EotM without all their WVW borderland queued, hence reducing the numbers of player that would actually fight for a server, but go straight to EotM instead.

it have no pressure
it is 3-hr match, that mean if i join at the start, it is very likely a large pub zerg and commander appear
upscale characters wont be “persuade” to leave
you gain experience and you can do zerg vs zerg
it is more causal
those are some factors why eotm attract more players
we could choose PVP/PVE/RP server in SWTOR
so either you could persuade anet start a new PVP server even though there are already low population server, or a big No
Aleksander – I think the OP is asking to be able to do partial trait lines and mixing them, like we used to do, rather than asking for more than three complete lines.\
I actually prefer the new system. I can’t say how it impacts the strategic depth of the game for PvP, but I like the simpler, clearer choices available here.

with the old system, i almost run 2 complete lines with either 1/1 or 2 on minor line
the 1/1 isnt quite effective tbh
now i can run 3 complete lines
and it is simpler now and easier to quickly set up

Who is forcing you to rebuy the game again? they’re not charging you anything for it. This is all people twisting things to suite their arguments, Arenanet made it pretty clear the bundled core game is free. Arguing you’re being forced to pay for it would be akin anyone arguing that after being forced to buy FFXIV 1.0 they were then forced to pay for it again when they released 2.0!
nah, i have FFXIV 1.0 and i dont have to buy FFXIV again when 2.0 was release
and i can buy only the expansion upgrade for 3.0

I am still trying to figure out the rage about getting a core game copy for free. People surely didnt mind to get a 2nd or 3rd account when it was on sale for 10$ ish. So why moan about a freebie?
And yes Anet are people too, just like us. Maybe it is a bit over priced but none of you have been forced to pay more then the game it self.

They’re technically not charging anything for the core game. No one is buying it again because no one is buying it at all. NEW players are simply getting the core for free and veteran players are simply getting nothing extra for free. And that’s what these people seem to think the argument is about. Even though it’s been said a thousand different ways in a thousand different threads that entitlement is not the issue. It’s just the only argument they can hide behind while ignoring the shady things that have been going on. Saying one thing, doing another, then trying to erase evidence and adding insult to injury with their latest refund idea where they just erase everything you’ve done so far so you can still pay $50 later with a brand new account!

Just now if a EU server Edge of the Mists, we have some unpleasant issue happened,
a tag up commander start placing mesmer portal at chest, because he/she does not agree
with the other tag up commander and no body is following him/her, the portal exit are
somewhere you can not jump back, you have to teleport back to the starting place, and
he/she threaten the next exit will be off the edge
verbal abuse can be report, but this kind of game mechanic abuse do not fit in any
existing category
we should have a way to report such abuse that damaging other teammates game
experience
