missleading topic, nothing is fixed.

you guys here have to realize that the issue of invisible enemies is not an issue of your computer. even the NASA computers would have invisible enemies.

it is an issue with Arenanet and the way they have developed this game. at the beginning this game didnt even have this “feature”. then people complained about performance issues, so Arenanet put in this “barrier-feature” for everyone – in order to have less complaints from users and better server stability for themselves.

give them time to fix it.

if you want to have fun in this game, do not get level 80

correct, there is no real endgame. now, people will come here and will give you lists of what things you can do in endgame, like map-completion, achievements, farm materials for a legendary.

but imo, this is BS.

even the 10 year old DAoC was able to handle 100+ players with massive effects and spells at the same place. without lags and invisibility of players.

get your game fixed, Arenanet.

yes game is awesome until you get to 80, fullequipped with some exotic sets of gear for different purposes, fancy skins from dungeons etc and 50g on the bank.

then come and tell us again its the best mmo.

Now i only want to do W3, but i cba waiting in the queue for more than 8 hours, or probably miss the invite because being in windows, afk or whatever, what about an alarm sound if its ready? I am doing 5 to 10 or more sPVP games a day, but thats it, I get bored of it always the same stupid capture the flag. If i want to play proper CTF i go play UT, q3, or tf.

you will say, change server.. why should I if i have a guild of 50 people there?

also I am adding since i was able to get into W3 for the last couple of days:

W3 is boring as kitten without any deeper intention/rewards. why should I raid keeps and kill dozens of players without any reward? it can be fun for some hours, but than what? give us some deeper purpose like in DAoC and RA`s etc.

a friend of mine send me precious materials to craft him exotic armor, twice. i never received it.

hence tired of farming again, he stopped playing.

go full fire and earth for sustainability. imps and embers do sick damage for some reason
elementalist is not easy, one of the “difficult” classes.

however it seems, that every other class can do everything better than the elementalist. with more dps and more survivability.

- WvWvW queue timer
- Alarm sound when it is ready to join the WvWvW
- Bigger WvWvW maps
- More endlevel zones (Orr is just too small for all the 80s
- Possibility to switch weapons for Elementalist (even out of combat would be OK)
- Save/Share/Load different Trait-builds
- Check players gear
- Invite player into group when right click on his name in the chat (not possible at the moment)

on top of this, i would like to have a “dong” or whatever alarm when the join confirmation comes up. I do not want to know how many times i have missed it because being in windows or doing whatever else at home.

i justt tested it and cannot confirm, lot of drops still for me.

you might realise that Orr is too small, the more players get there, the more frustrating it will get – just event grinding, 1 mob does not last a second.

Elementalist under water has a ridicolous poor damage output compared to on the land.

I needed to bug around and strafe like hell so the mobs would`nt have a LOS to complete some of the events and story Q.

what happened? i stopped farming there for a day.

The WvW is amazing but it feels as if there’s no point other than “mindless fun”. Which is great, but when you pit servers against servers based on rankings, players want to see those rankings. It’s not gonna change the nature of the game you are playing, and the scope (fun), but it creates a meta-layer which is missing at the moment. They need to patch in visible rankings so servers can begin taking more seriously the war aspect of the game. also, they need to find a way to make the WvW more accessible, as the queues are so long and unpredictable that this portion of the game is at the moment more like a lucky break for most of us than something we can invest on.

Same is true for sPvP. I am sure you noticed Nebu that while you bring your stuff in WvW, sPvP follows the logic of an fps or an rts if you want: everyone has the same resources to choose from and to play with, so the reasons to play are just the same reasons that you have in those kind of games. Fun, and braggin rights. Here what the game is missing is the bragging rights layer. Again, this is one of the most important parts of the whole GW experience, so rest assured it will be patched in soon, but right now it is totally absent. sPvP needs even more seriously stuff like rankings and tournaments, but all that stuff is not currently in the game and all people can do is practice and grind for vanity items. They also need to put in actual Guild Wars as soon as possible.

So, in short, while I consider GW2 an incredibly amazing game, they have to move out of the pre-season zone they put themselves into, and start rolling out the competitive and meta aspects of the game as soon as pssible. Mind, there’s no monthly fee here or subscription to cancel, so they are not really in a rush to make sure you won’t get bored, but it really feels that once you are done with exploring and some random borderlands fun, you (and everyone else) will have to wait for the first real meta-content patch, which is blatantly missing.

…don`t match it with other European servers in WvWvW

Over 50% of the population from this server are French Canadians, which means, they are playing when Europe is sleeping. This results that Vizunah Square server has a pretty good population 24/7, while all other European servers have not (yes because the most sleep at night).

This again results that Vizunah Square raids evertyhing 24/7 on the WvWvW maps.

Positive suggestions I picked up from this thread so far:

- Make the “outmanned” buff actually useful
- Make the Keepguards x % stronger if population is x %
- On DAoC, you needed to unlock the relic fort by taking a chain of keep. And then, you still had to breaks doors. —→ It should not be possible to capture Orbs that easy

Can we have an option in the option menu if we want to have this or not? I understand you forced us with this because of people complaining about low fps.

However, people with powerful PCs like me, are very annoyed by this. It is just an impossible position you put us in – we see mobs or players in WvWvW first if we stand in the middle of them, which is far too late! – and this causes most of the time our ingame-life.

you guys probably have skill 1 on auto with strg+ right click …..

I know there is an event that you need to absolve in order to have the gates opened, but this is bugged for the second time on the server Riverside (DE) now.

We can kill every mob in front of the gates in the Area, do every other PQ but the event won`t go any further or finish!

People are are complaining the whole day and no one is able to do go into the dungeon.

I feel like it is not.

I am grinding some events since a week now, with 40% MF food.

Today, I built up some expensive MF gear, 143% MF in total and I do not get any particular more green/blue/yellow items dropped. I rather feel I got more with less MF.

This is based on several hours/days of farming the same spot.

I wonder why that is too. I mean, just put in a system that is like: User A sends item to user B. User B can only receive the item if he accepts the price that User A set into his email.

What`s the problem?

yesterday i crafted for my guildmate his exotic armor set. then he went into wvwvw and won a 3v1.

I am bored.

It hit level 80 since one week.
I am full equipped in exotic orange armor.
I have 15g on my bank
I have 200k Karma
I did all dungeons.

Region of Orr endgame zone is too small! 100 players are standing day for day at the same spot grinding the same event every 15 minutes – there is nothing else to do.

Doing Dungeons in explorer mode is just UNREWARDING. You get only crap blue/yellow loot, nothing good to be happy about. I mean seriously, do I have to farm 200 tokens to buy one good item which is not any better than my crafted exotics? I fought mykitten off in a dungeon, fought over 1 hour a boss, wiped 10 times, had repair costs over 40s and do get crap yellow/blue items as a reward for it? Yes that is the reality, and it did not happen just once.

Explorer mode in dungeons is fun, they are challenging here and then, but for what? Why all of this if there is no reward?

Endgame in GW2 is plain boring. However PvP can be at certain times good.

you cannot craft for profit in this game, you cannot get wealthy with crafting because everyone get farm everything.
