Guild Roster Management

The thing I crave most as a guild roster manager is to see when someone last loged in or represented.

as temp solution I now made a rank of “Off Liner” and look at the location they were last if it says unknown big chance they at least not logged in from 27nov for that was the last update (this is not bullet proof, for being kicked or logged out on a instance sometimes sets it also to unknown) but I also send them a mail and gave them to respond or log in till Jan than I start kicking.

but I would so much like to see a better solution

I do a lot of our guild’s daily managing but with the info I currently get in guild window this is hard we got 150+ members and I have no way to know who is still active or not, of course I can note all the names down who are when I am online but we got members from over the whole globe so some of them will be online when I am not.

so the most important thing I really need is the function to see when someone last represented our guild (or if this is not possible when someone was last online)

and other guild managers plz add suggestions if you got some

Explorer Achievement (maybe not a bug)

For the Achievement “Been there. Done That” you have to get all the Vista/Poi/SkillPoints/Hearts on the main map (excluding South sun cove, Vertical cliffs and PvP) and on the WvW areas as well that are 4 areas Red/Green/Blue/Ethernal battle grounds.

As far as I can remember/know it, the world explored indicator/progress is linked to this achievement and not to the percentage area explored achievements.

The percentage of area one’s if you got all those (don’t forget the whispers headquarters) you get gifts of exploration and an other achievement don’t recall the exact name of it

hope this helps

Missing One Point of Interest

You should at least be able to tell in which area you miss that poi,

Go to an area and look at your map, in the local list you can see if you got them all.

There are a few hidden under other symbols on the screen the one in Orr (I think it was in Melchior’s Leap) was the one I needed the wiki to find for it was under a contested wp.

Having the same problem here.
And I played the 20 games (got the completed on that one) even do PvP is so not my thing, feeling a total nervous wrack after it, only finding out it doesn’t count towards the main one, where I did start out playing dragon ball for in the first and only place.

So please fix it

Self imposed level cap

Coming from some korean MMOS, yeah I prefer gw2 lvling. Grinding mobs shouldn’t be worth good exp, and in gw2 it isn’t. Quests are, which makes you explore more. Problem is, you level so quick that over half the zones become meaningless because you hit 80 so quickly. Not sayin increase the level cap or make it harder, just a statement. Many zones are irrelevant atm :/

That was the idea stop me from leveling when I want that and when finished in an area then continue the leveling.

But because it seems many of you don’t want that or getting it, just as an extra option for those players that want it, as I suggested from the beginning.

I really don’t understand, and I suspect most everyone else doesn’t get it either. ……
……
In any case, if we don’t understand what you’re trying to do, I don’t see the devs inplementing this because there doesn’t seem to be any cause.

I understand that from the reactions now, I only spoke to a few people under way in the game and they said they agreed with me that is why I suggested it here.

It is becoming clearer that I’m just an different kind of player and it looks like there aren’t many more out there, so I will have to do it in the game’s way :-)

And of course the developers will not do anything with it if there are only a few out there that would appreciate it, that would be great for me but stupid for a commercial company.

@Pixelpumpkin I also got a lvl80 (needed approx. 2weeks to get there) with all rare gear (crafted by myself) and am roaming in “Wayfarer foothills” at this moment.

And fully aware that the game is made in this way, but I would liked this option of play and that is why I put it here in the suggestion section :-)

Because I’m lvl 80 with lvl80 rare gear that it is no longer a problem.

b.t.w. I never visited an area above lvl55 and probably will not for some time, it just would have been more interesting (FOR ME THAT IS) actually grinding those areas for their riches and the gear those karma/quest vendors (in these lo-level areas) have to sell but now non of it is above lvl80 rare gear and thus obsolete.

But gatering is no where as fun as when you would need the materials to get better gear because they are no longer of any use to me.
Got the leatherworking/jewel crafting/huntsman at 400 so tier 1-4 materials are no longer interesting for me, only to satisfy the completionist in me I need the materials so I get every possible receipt that there is.

Would have liked to have that cap (self-imposed and temporarily) when I started and when starting on a new character. Just to make it more fun for me and those like me.

:-) Yes I know, but that is the problem I do want to grind the area, I do want to get all the crafting recepies/materials and on my own pace, before moving on (or feeling even a little bit pushed).

It has to do with the kind of player I am, I guess I’m kinda a little bit more role playing gamer and defendly a lot more completionist gamer but I know there are a lot of my type of players out there (I’ve met them :-) )

Just NOT wanting to have to go to the top first and then go back and scower up everything that was left behind in the run to the top.

Already works that way. Consider it done.

It’s called level scaling. No one is forcing you to leave an area before you’re 100% done with it. You can always come back to lower zones and the mobs will still kick your puppy.

Yes but as I mentioned it scales your gear also down in the level is does your character, so if your level 80 and your in a level 20 area ALL your stats go down to 25% or something (I know it is more than that but I don’t know the exact number) if you use a tier 5 or up weapon that is no problem.
(but the level 20 area is for tier 2 gear (I think), so only buying, gartering and crafting tier 2 gear is possible there, except for the leveled loot of course.)

So wearing and using tier 2 gear would be “normal” in this area.

But because your character is leveling up so much too fast, that you’re forced to get the same tier of gear as the level of your character and that is not possible in that area if you want to garter, craft or buy it your self that is.

As in the example, your tier 2 weapon is also scaled down to 25% and just about useless while appropriate to the area.

I can be wrong about this, but that is how I experienced it in the game, had to get better and better gear just to keep u with my character.

I do like the scaling back thing they use, but they scale back the gear based on your level so carrying an level 15 weapon in a level 13 area as a level 80 character get’s you in all kinds of trouble
I guess scaling every thing separately could fix this and keep up with that “The game only starts at level 80" thing

Hi, I’m relatively new to the whole MMO gaming experience and coming from a single player rpg background so sorry if this suggestion is ludicrous.

But I getting very frustrated with the much to fast leveling up experience, I do understand that if you are a leveling character this is great, but I’m more of a roleplaying or completionist kind of player, so my suggestion is not about to make it harder to level up but make it a little bit more flexible.

what I propose is when you start in a level 1-15 area, you can if you want set a temporally self imposed level cap to level 17.

Now you can do all the quests challenges in the area, more importantly to me garder the crafting materials of this tier so it fits your progress, so the gear you make is the one you can actually use until you decide to leave the area and set your new cap accordingly.

This way materials/crafting skills/gear/level/area/quests are from the same tier that you need/want and as long as you want it.

The XP that you gain but you choice not use, can be handled the same as at level 80 use them to gain skill points, I think at the same rate/cost as when you where level 80.
