Thanks!
Do you have to do meta events to unlock the story part?
There’s an npc who will take you to the story instance at the first waypoint.
Agent Zrii I think.

That’s the timer for HOT maps. Shortly before Dragon’s Stand is about to start, look in LFG and you should see a bunch of squads forming. Join squad, join map. You’ll be set for the meta.
Koss and Melonni star in the Elonian remake of “Little House on the Prairie.”
I would watch that show.
Very true; forgot about that part.
Still, it would be very interesting to see Anet address how the remaining mordrem guard fare after Mordy’s defeat. They probably won’t but eh, a guy can hope.
In one of the TD missions, one of the achievements involves Canach trying to talk down one of Mordy’s sylvari soldiers. He does seem to not want to kill us, until he succumbs again to Mordy’s sexy voice.
I think that means that there is still some level of free will in them, and that I assume some of them could go back to normal.
Ergo, we could actually have a super Sylvari fighting for us. That would be pretty funny to see the tower commanders with us taking on dragons.
I can only imagine how conservatives in the US feel when they hear “Feel the burn!”
Are you talking about the mordrem wyvern or the one you fight at the end of the nobles’ outpost?
Because to be fair, the mordrem wyvern is not easy to take down; even when people know CC mechanics.
To get to the actual debate. I think Anet could just indicate in the description if a skill is a CC. I’m sure it would help people figure out what they can use in those instances.
I personally suck at adventures and dislike them, but I was able to get all VB gold with a few runs and watching guide videos.

Except shooting range; that one is evil.
EDIT: Haven’t tried other maps yet.

I went in with my zerk ele; I got destroyed over and over again. Frustrated the hell out of me so I just plain stopped with HoT.
Then I actually took a look at the build I was running, improved my equipment to get the most out of it, and actually learned to change my style of play. Frankly, I am very happy that HoT forces you do get out of your comfort zone, because it actually forced me to take a look at how I was playing and I got better as a result.
The only mobs who still frustrate me are itzels (many evades and high damage); but other than that… it’s not really that hard once you actually train yourself a little.
The lack-of-resurrection in modern times is even highlighted in a small handful of side dialogues as well as CoF explorable mode, where Gaheron’s trying to become resurrected. It’s denoted as something that hasn’t been done in lifetimes (well, for the major races). The particular method Gaheron’s trying to resurrect even more rarer – though Magg clearly doesn’t know/acknowledge it, the only other individual to resurrect without a body was Shiro Tagachi.
If only PC could actually die (instead of defeated), and to come back to life, you’d actually have to go murder a Canthan emperor.
I somewhat agree with what you’re saying, but I hope Anet doesn’t do epic battles just to do epic battles.
I actually liked the fight against Mordy far more than the one against Zhaitan, and not just because of mechanics.
The fight against Zhaitan, while indeed more “epic” in its setting, lacked all sorts of… … interest actually. Personally, in the PS, I felt far more invested when taking down the Eye or even the Mouth. Yea Zhaitan is the big meany, but we never interact with him before that. He just appears out of the sky and we shoot and never ask questions.
What I loved about Mordy is actually the techniques he uses against PC, the attempt at manipulation. It’s something we’d seen before that fight. It’s his very own style of fighting. Zhaitan felt like he had absolutely no characteristics, unlike Mordy. And as a result, the fight against Mordy felt far more epic to me.
Maybe a cross of two would work well; but you have to take into account what makes each ED unique.

On GW1, there was some lore on resurrection. I think the Gods allowed us the players to get resurrected so we could get favor (sucks for NPCs…). That’s why you had many resurrect skills as well as all the resurrection shrines.
On GW2, I have no idea if there’s any lore behind reviving.
Personally, I actually liked this. It feels realistic. Everyone has met people who were insufferable, but still had to be “diplomatic” with them.
Plus it reminds everyone that the Arcane Council is made up of horrible people (they even have an inquest guy…).
