Recently my game will not launch after clicking play. I’ve checked all my drivers and they are all up do date. About a week ago the game was able to run fine, however after my computer did some automatic windows updates, now after clicking “play” in the launch screen nothing happens. The splash screen disappears but no game is launched. I’ve checked to see if it is running using the task manager and it is even absent from there.
I uninstalled everything and reinstalled the game thinking somehow it corrupted but that also failed. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for your time!

The biggest “flaw” I have with the living story content is the lack of “re-playability.” If I miss an event chain due to real life circumstances, I have no way of filling in the gap. I could read the forums and attempt to understand what new characters were involved, how they interacted and what destruction they caused, however I do not feel the personal connection to future releases.
I am not asking to physically replay the event, I just want to watch a newsreel (>5 min) of sorts that highlights the main event and characters so I am not completely lost when I join in the next living world content. When I want to watch my favorite TV series a nice intro is incorporated to fill in the details and provides a nice refresher for this week’s episode.
Other than that, even though I am lost of most of the events I am very intrigued by this new tower. I feel like this is a very solid story driven update.

My suggestion is to incorporate something where I can review all of the vistas I have unlocked. It is a disappointment that I can only see them once or twice if I happen to stop by while adventuring. Why not create some sort of pensive in the home instance to watch those beautiful scenes on demand. So much work was put into the environment of this game and it should be admired.
If for some reason this already exists PLEASE let me know, I’m dying to see them.
When playing and Ele, Mes or a Ranger, is there any way to have the AOE spells autocast on the target I already have targeted? I understand that there is the quick cast where my mouse is, but my mouse is very rarely in the spot where the target is. I am hoping I am just missing a setting and I can make the spell system a little closer to the original GW. I feel like in certain situations always having to select where the spell goes wastes valuable time and seems to halt the combat flow for me. Thank you in advance!!
I have a question on how many levels it takes to really get the big picture of a profession. I currently have a ranger in the works but I am pretty sure he isn’t going to be my main but can’t figure out which other class I should play. I was just hoping for an idea of what levels I should play other professions to so I can figu out which class is best for me. Thank you very much!
Great tutor. It was fun being invited in game to actually witness how to play. The videos were very nice, just wish there were more of them! Maybe class specific videos of ingame scenarios, not the same boss, dealing with mobs etc. Overall a wonderful teacher, he knows his stuff! Great guide!!
Yes, this is another one of those “which is best for me” type of threads.
I just wanted the opinions of some players who are more experienced with GW2 than I am. I played the original GW for a very long time and my main was a dervish. but I also found ritualist to be a blast. I did everything with those two characters. However in GW2 I haven’t found that one profession that clicks with me. I enjoy doing more things solo than with a group, but I am never opposed to lending a hand. I’ve tried out all of the professions and currently the Ranger is my highest level, but something feels off with him. He takes ages to kill mobs that are equal or below his level. I was just wondering if anyone had any advice for a nice profession where I can feel powerful and still solo pretty much everything. I also focus on PVE content, I haven’t dabbled much in PvP yet, that will be saved after I hit 80.

Obviously I’m looking for a guild to join. I am “new” to Guild Wars 2 because I only bought it a few weeks ago. Currently my main is a Ranger but I still love messing around with other professions, it’s not uncommon to find me switching characters often.
A little more about what I’m looking for!
~Most important to me is finding a guild that is NOT a corporation, I play this game for fun.
~I prefer a smaller guild but I am not opposed to a large community.
~I do not want to be required to participate in certain events, I am still in school and that comes first. I do have a life outside of the game. The most I’ll ever go without logging on is a week, but I try to never let that happen.
~I am more focused on PvE but the WvWvW in this game is intriguing and what I’ve done with it hasn’t been enough.
~I really would prefer to not use Vent, I am perfectly fine listening but I will rarely contribute.
I am not new to the Guild Wars game, I played the first for 3-4 years and logged many hours doing what I loved.
