I would suggest that while “dead”, waiting for a resurrection, you could exit your body as a small colored flame (orange for warriors, red for elementalists, etc) and fly around the body in a specific radius and watch the fight around you. When / if someone is resurrecting you, the flame will loose player’s control for distance and it will come closer and closer to your body, but still you can move it around on a radius

You are right guys, The 2nd idea cant be implemented by the reasons you mentioned. Although, the sleeping hammock can be added to AFK players after the “reading the book” if the players are AFK for more than 30 min

Agreed, but… I saw people just skipping them so, i guess the work will be in vane. A lot of sub-cultural people are playing the game who don’t like anything else but “fight”.

This transforms GW2 in a FPS game which I don’t necessarily oppose if it is an option not a default feature

At first I was for this option too, but now, after i got used to the game, it doesn’t feel anymore needed for me. you are a melee but all of you have range weapons. Use combination of them and you won’t miss the targets or need to be near of them. it meant to be played like that, not just hitting the sword button

It would be nice if there will be added 2 animations for the characters which are AFK or OFFLINE.

for example,

1 ) if a player is AFK for 5 minutes, an animation will make the character sit down on a chair and start to read a book.

Of course, if a you guys want to make this animation more unique, the chair can be replaced with a rock, a wood depending on the aria where the player is AFK.

2) if the player is OFFLINE, which means he has logged off from the game, it will be interesting if the game will create a image copy of that character – if not keep the character its self until the next log in – and keep it in the game, as the character is sleeping in a hammock.

There are games keeping the character in the game even when the player is offline.

In both cases, the character become invisible to the foes so they wont get attacked, but they will remain visible for all the players.

I like the down state mechanic. It’s unique. And what is it if we wait like 10-15 sec to get killed? Does it feel so long time? I think not. Besides, in those down states people can come to revive you and they can do that, but for lone rangers like you, of course you prefer to suicide. It take away all your trouble.

Yes, I am in the same situation. I have been invited in 5 guilds but I could only accept one. The other 4 are still in the invites list and I am getting the same error code every time I click the Join button.
