I read the forums for every class before getting alts and they all say that their class suck. Everybody just complains about their character being too week or nerfed instead of just enjoying what they are for.
I can say that necro aren’t that bad. I actually found myself really lucky to have one on my team when doing dungeons.
You just gotta see the professions separetly. The mesmer and the necro aren’t magician. Only the ele focuses on spell casting. The other two have their own mecanics and if you don’t enjoy them, you shouldn’t play them.
They are, but not now.
What Colin said wasn’t all for the January update.
There are a lot of thing in there that will be implemented gradually (from what I read on the blog)
Stop posting about a LFG in-game tool.
They said that they’re working on it…
In the meantime : http://www.gw2lfg.com/
I too would like more PvE events in WvW.
I’m certainly not a fan of pure PvP, but in WvW where there’s things to do other than just killing some other player (JP, Patrols, Events, Champions) it feels more natural than only one type (PvE or PvP).
I would actually love to get more PvE contents (like the dragon discussed).
As in a real battle, when a greater evil than your actual opponents shows up, you gotta turn for it or you’ll all die. It would be very nice to see a castle being assaulted and during the assault, an horde of undead comes in to wipe everybody :-)
PS : Sorry to the hardcore if I don’t like my game close-minded
You can open it. You received Small Gifts because you’re low level.
The rewards are bound to the gift, not the level you are when you open it.
How the hell can you get 5000 boxes? Did you loot them of just bought them out of the TP?
I opened over 100 giant gifts and all I got was snowflakes (not even 400) and shirts. So you’re not so unlucky
I got gulp of karma, booster, snowflakes and personalize gifts
Instead of creating a new topic, I’ll use yours to say that I too enjoy the music very much.
The Bell Choir is really cool.
Being able to play “Fear not this night” with bells is really awsome!
Out of nowhere, my guild lost every upgrades it add after yesterdays update.
The activity log goes from creating the guild 2 months ago and inviting one friend to yesterday. The inbetween is completly lost.
I’ll open a ticket but I figured that I could post it here too.
I use staff to gain might before the battle and sword/mace with a torch.
I use the mace if I fight harder opponents from which I need blocks. If it’s easier mobs, I just use the sword for the teleport.
It probably takes longer to kill than with the GS or hammer, but I can survive “almost” any situations.
Also, I’m built around burning with additional dmg on burning foes. I always trigger Virtue of courage before each new mob as it recharges on kill (Virtue traits). It also applies blind and vulnerability. Quite helpful actually
I played GW1 for 7 years and loved it. I also loved the fact that there was only 20 levels and you didn’t have to grind to max level in order to get maximum attributes points.
They could do it in GW2. They keep 2 zones per race with progressive leveling and then you hit max lvl. You can then enjoy your character at maximum, messing with traits depending on the zone you’re going into and the play style you like.
What’s the point of getting all the traits points at 80 when there’s nothing more to do than farming…
The sad part is that it’ll never happen :P
I do think that new classes will come along new races with an expension pack. There are a lot of place on the world map for free content updates and I can totally see the Tengu being playable in a Cantha expansion (along with new classes, weapons, etc.)
There is so must potential from the lore of GW that has not been exploited yet and I just can’t wait to see more (And I’m only half-way in this one
I so agree with you. I too prefered the GW1 style of cinematic. It was more of a story than two peoples standing and talking.
I was really looking foward to GW2 for the lore, having played the story of the first one over and over again plus the 2 books that I read at least 3 times each (can’t wait for the third), but I have to admit that I am a bit disappointed now. Sometimes, I just don’t even listen to the story just because it’s boring as hell to see two peoples standing there talking. Between that and just have to read the text, I’d rather read, it would have been a lesser task for ANet.
I hope that in an eventual expansion, ANet could come back to the GW1 style.
My specs
i7 960 @ 3.20Ghz
8 Go DDR3 RAM
GTX 560 Ti with driver 306.02
256 Go SSD raid 0
2 monitors (but playing GW only on one and windowed)
Usualy, I run at 50 fps which is ok (should be better imo with that kind of system) and it get down to 15 fps when I participate in a world event or running into LA.
