Perhaps this belongs in the suggestions thread. A solution would be to purchase a second monitor and dual-screen. Or grab a laptop and watch the channel chat from the laptop.

Well, I wasn’t making a suggestion. :P I was asking if it were possible.

Unfortunately, the dual-screen thing won’t be happening for an undisclosed amount of time. I’ll only buy one if I truly need one (money doesn’t grow on trees xD) and my laptop is the only computer I have. :S

I guess, I’ll try finding an overlay program or something, unless someone has a solution, thanks.

Recently, I’ve been getting into streaming. I usually play games in windowed mode now so I can interact with the people who come into my channel and chat with them.

Whenever I select windowed mode, it seems to give me windowed mode in 1920×1080, which is my native resolution. Even if I select a different resolution in fullscreen mode first and then switch over to windowed mode, it’s still 1920×1080. I would like to run the window at 1280×720. That way, I can have my chat open in my browser and play the game simultaneously.

It’d be nice to be able to create a custom resolution. Thanks for you help!

Update: Someone noticed that the clock weren’t working to capacity on the card. I tried installing an overclocking program and setting it to what it’s supposed to be. I’m still having issues. -_-;

Even so, whenever I get my warranty sorted out with the manufacturer of this laptop, it’s totally going back. :/

Weird. Were people supposed to be getting drops from them?

I had a family issues and had to afk for a moment at the top of the hive. I died there and tried rezzing from the Owain’s Waypoint. It never connected. At all. I waited for about 3 minutes.The game then froze and I had to close it using Task Manager. When I reconnected, I ran but I didn’t make it in time. I had missed everything.

I spent nearly 3 or so hours fighting all the things with my friends. I was in the overflow I think and if you’ve seen an Sylvari Elementalist running around by Adani, that was me.

I don’t really expect anything from Anet, to be honest. All the trouble they’ve had just running the event, I find it unlikely. Still, it would’ve been nice to have seen the ending and gotten some loots, if only to recoup the money spent from waypoints and repairing armor. :/

Anyone with any thoughts or questions?

Here are the logs from my 15 hour session on the game. Throughout the 15hours, I was constantly on TeamSpeak and I occasionally checked a link that someone linked in chat.

Now, I’m off to bed because I pulled an all nighter. xD

I made sure that the sampling was normal. Unfortunately, I think that I might have to send this back in hopes of it being replaced. :/

Also, here are my most recent results with everything on medium and running it forcefully with the GPU (I checked using another utility to make sure the computer was actually using it).

Also, I do force the game to run with the Nvidia GPU. I don’t know why I have so many issues with it. I even turn off a lot of the excess processes just to trying helping it. I’m not sure why I’m having so many issues with it. ,_,

I will use this program and make sure to report back soon.

Recently, I purchased this new laptop and everyone agreed it was really good for gaming. I find that I have a lot of FPS issues trying to play GW2. Even on the lowest resolution and settings, I typically only get about 13 – 21 FPS. I’m not sure if it’s my CPU or my graphics card. I’ve never owned a computer that was built for gaming, but this is disappointing me a lot. Other games, like The Sims 3 and Borderlands 2 also seem to have issues rendering. I’ve tried doing clean installs of Nvidia’s drivers and updating Intel’s drivers as well.

Having the game on lowest resolution and lowest settings actually begin to make my eyes and head hurt after a while. (Like an hour) I really have fun playing this game, but I’m really being put off by the performance issues. I’d love it if anyone could help me out step by step to suss out the problems.

Let me know if you need any more information about my system and I’ll try to provide it.
