Alright guys everything’s running a lot better now. What I did was redownload Direct X then I also downloaded a program called radeonpro. It has a dynamic vsync feature that works, after those couple of things it started running pretty well. Then I lowered the character model textures to medium and disabled high res models, now it’s running at a mostly stable 60fps. I also noticed a considerable increase in stability in Tribes Ascend (All settings maxed) it runs at a stable 90fps even in 28 player matches. Hope this helps anyone with similar issues.

I don’t think it could be internet latency lag, i have fiber optic with 30mbps. I’m getting frame rates that wildly fluctuate between 20-60 fps when I move around. when I’m standing still it’s like 40-60. with all settings minimal it still dips very low when I’m moving around. I tested it mostly in divinitys reach near the bank.

Alright so I just got a new computer
Specs:
CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-4820K Quad-Core 3.70 GHz 10MB Intel Smart Cache LGA2011
HDD: 480GB Corsair Neutron GTX SATA-III 6.0Gb/s SSD – 555MB/s Read & 511MB/s Write

VIDEO: AMD Radeon HD 7990 6GB 16X PCIe 3.0 Dual GPU Video Card
I lag so much it’s quite laughable. Even with the settings on low theres still some lag.
I’m running windows 8.1 and have the latest video card drivers. How do I get this running smoothly? I’ve tried turning vsync on and setting the monitor refresh rate all selectable rates . Please help me out with this, I haven’t had a computer in over a year now this…

Hi, I wanted to suggest a couple of small changes that may save everyone a bit of time. The first I would like to see is all items of the same type stacking automatically, for example when you deposit a tonic into the bank it is automatically stacked with the ones of the same type and name you had there already, Instead of having to click and drag the items on top of each other.
The second change would be the way Area Task rewards are received. Instead of having to click on the mail and collect all after every task it would be nice just to have the money automatically sent to your funds.
Hey, I’m looking to buy a new laptop. I’m willing to spend up to $3000. I want a computer that can handle the most cpu intensive situations in Guild Wars 2 on max details without any lag, or any other new game like Shogun 2 Total war for example.
I was looking at an Alienware M18x but I’m not tech smart enough to know If it’s a good choice.
Thank you in advance for your suggestions!
I’ve been waiting forever to get my hands on this game but haden’t had the opportunity to. Now that I have it I plan to play religiously, I’m looking for a guild that does WvWvW and dungeon runs and other PvE, but doesn’t REQUIRE involvement in “events”. I don’t want to feel like I have to skip work or risk being kicked out of a guild. I want to join a group of active players that are dedicated to the game but not elitists and have fun as they move towards their goals.
I’m brand new and I’m creating this thread before picking my server. I plan to learn the game quickly though.
