I gotta agree with OP on this one.
I bought this game at basically release, and have played and put money into it off and on since. I can easily say I have close to $100+ spent in the online store alone, and that isn’t even on the core game purchase.
The changes to this game and the overall goal on how the game is layed out (no boxed expansions?! Seriously?! Do you hate money?!) has left me completely sour. I could play WoW for years with only my Rogue and have a blast. Here, I am STUGGLING to keep interest by leveling multiple characters, and I am about to get my 5th and 6th lvl80 in the next few weeks.
The Warrior changes are kittening disgusting, Ham/Bow is still insanely good while everything else suffers because the devs have Z.E.R.O. foresight with their changes in the game. I am all for Adrenaline being a used resource. But how about you actually make it a WORTHWHILE resource before changing it, and making half of the class completely unusable as a result.
I’m about done with the game. Dota is a much better, more balanced, and less time intrusive PvP game that is actually worth playing at this point. GW2 use to fill me MMO PvP itch, but trying to play it is like banging my head against a wall.Too many bad design choices from the get go, and even more added in as the game continues.
I really wish I could get all the time/money invested on the game back, as I was hoping the devs could have turned this into something good. Clearly, I was wrong.

Very very good OP and well stated the real problem on ANet “balance” changes.
I rly have to say that im trying to not leave the game (Im playing since BWE2 with a warrior dps and actually made Eternity GS and have spent some real money on gems) but each time I log on my warrior I feel that I cannot trust ANet anymore since this big lie on livestream. I guess i have to take a long pause on this game… saddly…
This is mostly warriors QQing about, an extra-nerf that made the Arcing Slice be the same it was before. My last hope is that ANet give us what they showed on livestream.
Yeah Anet lie they sad it was gonna be 100% more damage on foes with 50% or less HP,so much for the executor style promise :I
I dont think they ever said this, your fault if you believed that “bonus” damage had to be 100%
Already stated more than once on this topic that anyone here was “imagening” that was 100% dmg increasing, that dmg icreasing was said during the livestream previewing the class changes, easily found on dulfy.
The QQs are not because of the skill changes. Warriors rly needed some kind of nerf, but ANet didn’t nerf warrior’s GS, they literally killed that weapon of choice.
The QQing is because of ANet lied on livestream. They showed a counter-point to keep the high dps on warriors GS (Arcing Slice) and everyone was ok about that, but now the arcing slice just do not compensate the loss of dps we got. Btw, i guess if warrior get what ANet showed on livestreams, most of warriors wouldn’t whining all around.
… and btw, Arcing Slice should be executor style skill, not that ordinary low dps skill.
As people already stated on this topic, Final Thurst deals more dmg with AoE effect and still doesn’t costs Adrenaline.
I’m not that kind of guy who post on forums about class changes, but those changes on warriors are just a joke for me. I really liked the way they changed the OPness from HB and Whirlwind, but take off the dmg from Arcing Slice is just the most ridicuolous thing they could do.
I’m not crying to get HB + whirlwind dmg back. I just want the real Arcing Slice they showed on class changes preview: 100% dmg increase on Arcing Slice on Enemies with 50% health or less and non ninjaed base dmg on this skill.
Well, I’m using “Pingzapper”, this one has a trial that let you use it for 60 minutes, then will disconnect you.
Reseted my modem and router billion times, still getting stuck on few loading maps.

I got stucked at Loading Screen and get disconnect after (i belive) sort of timeout. Tested across all my characters and all of them that have this bug are on Lion`s Arch.

I don’t know if this was already posted here (yes, i didn’t read all the 24 pages and tons of wall texts), but my idea of sense of progression, on character skills, would be based on idea that Colin gave about 1st, 2nd, 3rd… jobs.
If…
- Each job you earn, give you a set of new skills for weapons.
Q: But this will ruin builds and people which has favorite weapon skills will disappoint when changing their jobs.
A: You could CHOOSE IF YOU WANT to change your job or not. This would be just like Legendaries, where you are not obliged to make one, it’s just a choice to make.
Q: But this would take a lot of time for balancing skills for each profession.
A: New weapon skills would be just new animation/name comparing to the ordinary ones? Just like Legendaries are for weapons.
I like the idea of job progression and have few ideas for it.

I guess Gw2 now is getting a better way for PvE. When more challenging is a boss, more fun it is. Thank you ANet for these bosses improvements!
But…
Challenges requests better rewards, and atm all the rewards most of the challegens have, is just the fun of completing it.
At overall, IMHO ANet is getting the right way for PvE, i loved the last update things
My legendary weapon got a purple in name and its transmuted with exotic ones. But legendary rarity doesn’t showing in the chat when CTRL + Click on it or SHIFT + Click, its stay on orange name (exotic rarity) and the achievement of equipping a legendary weapon still doesnt working for my transmuted Twilight.
Thats already the case.. don’t you just look at what happens, when you transmute something with different qualities??
ExampleLets say we have a Legendary with Stats like Strength, Vitality and Toughness…
And lets say we have an Exotic Weapon with Strength, Precision and Crit Damage %+We want to have now a Legendary with the Stats of the Exotic …
Due to the point, that the STATS ARE BONDED TO THE ITEMS QUALITY, the result will always be this:
= Legendary Skin Weapon with Exotic Quality and Stats/Suffix of the Exotic Weapon.
So the legendary will change its name, receiving the suffix of the Exotic Weapon …So if you had before an Incinerator, after the transmutation you will have then an Incinerator “of Berserker”….
You can easily test this out with all kinds of cheap items of poorer qualities to see the same results …
If you transmute something rare with a masterwork and you choose the skin of the rare item with the stats of the masterwork, the result will be a masterwork, not a rare item.
The only thing left to ask at this point is just only… is all this an intention of anet, or is this just some kind of bug in the system, that transmutation doesn’t take over always the better quality for the result-
I say, its all intention, because otherwise wouln’t be the items quality bonded with the items stats, but instead the items quality would be bonded with the SKIN either, or the quality would be exclused from the transmutation system completely and automatically be set fix on the best quality, so that the qualities of the transmuted items would have no need to be shown in the transmutation window at all.
Oh, never paid attention on that, i thought every transmute would keep the best quality item name and rarity. But ofc i was wrong. In case of Legendary, they are same stats as exotic ones, when transmuted, should keep the legendary weapon quality, a lot of people transmute legendary for a proper stats to a personal build, so i guess it’s valid to save the legendary rarity for transmuted items, could be named as Transmuted Legenadry, a difrent kind of transmute.
Well, there are lot of things that could be make to prevent people who made a legendary and transmuted with a exotic one from losing their legendary rarity because at moment Legendary are just like exotics with unique skins… =/
Yes, that’s exactly what we want know from ANet team about this case.
One solution is about to fix the bug where Legendary loses its rarity when transmuted. It’s already a known bug, just need a fixing before the ascended weapons come up.
i was wondering this myself, because you can transmute an exotic skin on a rare item and chose the stat of the rare items, the name still is orange, but the stats will be rare, so what op is asking is will this happen when we will have ascended weapon? will the legendary i transmuted for stats be exotic instead of upgraded to ascended?
That’s what this post want ask to ANet. I will really be disappointed if Transmuted Legendary keep the exotic stat instead of Ascended ones
Ah. Well you would think they would make it when you transmute a Legendary for that reason, it would keep it’s Legendary stat numbers and the rarity.
That’s so dumb, since when you transmute any item you keep the higher rarity on that item. That’s how the logic works, Legendary > Exotic, so the quality of item should keep the Legendary one.
Because the stats on the legendary i made, is not proper for my current build, so i transmuted it to a better stats and sigil for me.
I would like to know the chance to have the Transmuted Legendaries, to do not lose their Legendary Rarity when transmuted with lower rarity items.
Im kinda afraid that probably we won’t have our Transmuted Legendaries upgraded to Ascended when we reach the patch which Legendary will have same stats as ascended weapons.

How many times you can kill a Dragon w/o getting downed is what gonna make your way faster or slower. This will totally depend on your playerskill and team you have with you.
Inspired Soul could disappear if you are out of combat for about 3 minutes (or less). This will prevent from player to have the Dragon Essence w/o participate the full combat against those Dragons
Totally agree with the idea.
But i think that this kind of precursor should be soulbound, and not account bound, forcing you to know how to play with other characters. If it’s only account bound, i will be able to farm with my favorite character any legendary i want.
Other point is that any player will be able to enter the Maze of Chaos. It’s less limited to the few portions of players.
And my last suggestion is that Enlightment buff will disappear once you buy your precursor weapon with Dragon Essence.

It really doesn’t work, because there is no line to split before/after when i log in the game
I agree with PanH, there are tons of bugs on warriors that have not even mentioned about a possible fix ._.
Will be ANet like all other developers around the world that hates warriors so much!? Why warriors?? WHYYY????

Well, i agree that warrior is not so complicated to play and also agree that 2 weapons swapping is kinda limited for a weapon espcialized class. At all, i would love to have the third weapon to swapping during our fights
IMHO, this third weapon wouldn’t unbalance so much since our traits we chose reflect our favorite weapon.
With this third weapon, combats would be much more dynamic and if using the 3 weapons, combats will need you an extra player skills to well manipulate you character
