Second Law.
Thanks for the fights Dawn, it was good for us too \o/
Don’t worry about the Second Leave guy, that’s one of our members who’s supposed to be on a hiatus of sorts.
He’s a filthy pug.
;P
Second Law.
Was a very fun week. Thanks to TUP, HoB, NR and VcY for scrimms, and everybody else we met open field.
If matchups are good we may see more of each other \o/
Second Law.
This NA vs EU thing is a farce. Guilds are guilds and trying to label them all as one skill level – NA or EU – is a joke.
I’m shocked that our friendly, spur of the moment 10v10 with PYRO in the alpha environment is even coming into it to try and prove anything.
PYRO is a solid guild and they kicked our kitten fair and square in the fight. But keep in mind the factors of the alpha – shoddy gear, the interruptions and distractions, no prime setup from either side, etc. If I remember right PYRO were 9 frontline with 1 backline or something, and we were 5/5 between backline and frontline. Does this become a major factor? I have no idea, never having done a 10v10 before in my life.
Trying to cast PYRO as though they represent the entirety of NA, or Scnd as if we represent the EU, is ridiculous. In general this whole OMFG SCND hype really needs to stop. We rose, we fought, and we did our best to win. We had our slackmode to chill, and now we are in the process of creating a brand new GvG team. We will continue on and keep fighting but please leave the past in the past.
I guess in short, please stop using Second Law as a hype tool. We don’t think we’re kings of anything.
Second Law.
Very good fights tonight, thankyou SFRJ, OSC, and others for the open field, and OP for the awesome scrimms down at windmill.
Been a very fun matchup, with an entertaining thread to boot \o/
Second Law.
Thanks for the compliments to Scnd. We’ve had some good fights this week!
Second Law.
It’s a lot of fun to fight against AR and PS. Thankyou for the great fights in Riverside BL so far, this is the best matchup Scnd has had in weeks. o/
Second Law.
Master Fuhon, that may be the most socially awkward response I’ve seen, lmao. Still, I’m sure he appreciates the constructive criticism
Second Law.
Tonight Chemso reached 250k WvW kills. I believe he earnt around 200k while in RG and got the last 50k while in Scnd.

Congrats on your tireless dedication Chemso!

Scnd vs GD GvG, multi-PoV
Second Law.
Godspeed’s multi-PoV video, finally finished!
Second Law.
No crippling lag tonight, thankyou Anet!
Second Law.
can SOR and BG stack more people for EU-time, we need more fights, kills and baggys. so 100-200 guys more would be great.
Yeah im sure BG and SOR will get right on that. I mean rumor has it BG is getting Scnd and VII for EU. I’m sure GD would love to meet Scnd once again lol
Second Law has no intentions to move to NA, especially not as coverage monkeys for the PPT game.
If we ever move to NA, it will be to fight some specific guilds.
Please let this rumour die.
Second Law.
Can any NA players confirm if this lag was fixed by the most recent patch, so I can know before next EU primetime?
No, still bad.
Unfortunate…
And Hey Zach. :PP
o/ Harm!
It’s pretty disheartening if this is still going badly, because my guild and I can’t be playing if this persists. We’ll still try each night, but I don’t expect us going longer than an hour if it’s terrible. Attendance numbers will shrink into nothing the longer this goes on.
We were worried about drifting from the game because of losing interest. Now it looks like we’ll be disappearing because it’s not even possible to play if we wanted to.
I was in WvW for about 3-4 hours last night and.. I never experienced this despite seeing Bloodlust change hands a number of times, even during a siege of the enemy’s Keep on Eternal Battlegrounds wherein all three worlds were competing for that location.
Strange.
Were you playing during what’s considered the primetime hours for your server? When I’ve been in WvW at ridiculously early (5am) EU hours there’s been absolutely no lag either, but there were scarcely any players around. The lag only seems to hit at primetime when the maps are full and everything’s busy.
Second Law.
Can any NA players confirm if this lag was fixed by the most recent patch, so I can know before next EU primetime?
Second Law.
How about that classic one that’s been around since launch… Any eta on when the party ui will be fixed in wvw?
Which? There are several! :p
What is broken on the party UI besides duration of boons currently? I don’t think I’m aware of any issues with it.
You know the one! You only drilled it into our heads to leave party before logging off :p
Being unable to kick offline people, or even online unless they’re standing somewhere close to you. Unable to invite people from friends lists or guild chat (also noticed I can’t accept friend requests in WvW so it goes beyond just parties whatever causes this issue).
I think it’s because they disabled all right-click options other than report in WvW to try and stop people whispering/communicating with other servers. Then they also removed the account name from being listed when reporting so you couldn’t get a hold of them that way either.
I don’t see what the point is. People communicate between servers anyways. Just let it be.
Second Law.
I’m taking it this is happening everywhere, NA and EU servers alike?
Second Law.
I hear it’s due to a bug that you are working on, Anet, but please, do fix this asap.
The game is currently unplayable. Even typical skill lag is better than this warping lag – we can’t see what is going on on the screen. Skills are not going off and people are teleporting all over the place, enemy or ally alike.
Have some footage from a guild member’s stream at our attempt to play as normal in the borders before we called it.

Regards to GvG, I don’t believe that 20 vs 20 requires much skill in term’s clutch plays, skilled reses, player’s calling targets and calling clutch spikes. You will never see top tier game play in such big fight’s. I do understand it require some level of skill, builds being key factor but outside of that, all you see in that video is group following there leader (Targeted) around in a ball dropping combo fields and spamming skills at random targets which is basic game play. Where is the advanced PvP game play in that video???? 10 vs 10 would be ideal, at least then it require allot more tactics and skill.
I wish I had an easy way to show you that everything you list as “skillful” play is actually happening in GvG, at least in the most experienced and “top” guilds.
There are parties dedicated solely for target calling for focus fire.
The raid leader makes the calls for clutch spikes.
The entire momentum and movement of the fight involves rezzing – whether someone is in the position for a banner, or whether you can move the melee to “claim” the ground where either your downed are, or the enemy’s downed are.
The builds are not as important in these fights as the teamwork and cohesion is. Take 20 random guys and give them “GvG” builds and I can guarantee they’ll achieve nothing if they don’t know how to play together. Just because the game’s graphics make it hard as kitten to see what’s going on, doesn’t mean the plays aren’t there.
Regarding the new map areas, I agree that they’re extremely fun for fighting and just tonight I was involved in plenty of small-scale roaming which developed into duels standing around one of the capture points with gathering spectators from all 3 servers. The problem with this is that I purposely left food and other buffs off to try and balance that I sometimes had bloodlust while those I was fighting didn’t.
What you need to understand is that my guild will not have much fun doing as you suggested with splitting up and trying to hold points. We are not here for conquest. We are here for deathmatch. We want to run as a guild, participating in large scale fights. Our members do plenty of sPvP, tPvP, private duelling, or WvW roaming for other needs, but our love for the large-scale is under threat.
We strive for competition and successes to be proud of. While enemies having the buff may be mildly annoying, it at least poses us with a greater challenge. However I personally do not want to see my guild running around with +150 to all stats. We never asked for this “helping hand”.
We don’t support the bloodlust buff and we sure as hell don’t want to dedicate our time in WvW to holding these points for it. The reward of breaking into a keep is the enormous fight you may get inside. There is no reward to holding bloodlust, other than feeling cheap and overpowered with an unfair advantage.
Second Law.
Thank you for letting us know! We have a fix for this and will be putting it out as soon as possible.
I hope so. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jto1w5Sy7VE
^ Seriously, please hotfix.
Second Law.
Fights were amazing GD, a juggling act between dodging your damage and trying to get off our own. I think Scnd played its best it ever has done tonight, the pressure led to the upmost focus and determination, and for that a shoutout to my own guildies who’ve made me immensely proud.
Your melee train is the best around GD and the co-ordination you pull off is still as incredible as back when we first fought. You pushed us to our limit, thankyou so much for the fights! If this was to be our last GvG ever then we’re happy it could be this.

THIS IS HAPPENING A BIT EARLIER.

VII still on kodash?
We had planned to return to Piken tonight. Then we had 3 GvG challenges accepted in the space of an hour. We stay on Kodash for now.
Screw you guys.

I’d like to see a video of 20 people wiping that 60 zergs, could u link 1 please?
Second Law.
Haven’t recorded any footage of this match-up till last night but let me tell you a tale of three heroes.
There were three Elementalists watching the Second Law onslaught in frustration desolate our brave fighters of Desolation. They took it upon themselves to take action and lead the world while their commander had given up. And so they entered combat, riding into battle on lightning fearing no opponent that stood before them, basking in the eternal glory that long awaited them.
Honor their courageous hearts and soul till the end of time and further.

Good sir, you are a hero and a role model for your people.
QQ SCND (joke)…….. I think you acknowledged that i held back INVI from interfering when i was commanding a tag down guild raid last night. It was the battle you were having against 2 of deso’s guild groups COIN & GoD i think…near north east bay water edge……..shame you failed to return the favor in ruins….. however you were probably not aware that we had lost numbers and been fighting there for days….so i will let you keep hold of your man points for now. :-). Apologies for not challenging you to a GvG however our squad GvG commander is on holiday for 2 weeks…..minus man points to us :-)
If we notice a fight going on between 2 guilds we don’t interfere, we probably weren’t aware of the situation. Still, you have my apologies.

omg on EB, scnd guild why did you keep focus me (TOYS) there was enough other players around you.. but you chase me and jump on my body lol! Not Nice!
We only do this to very special players. Somebody in our guild recognised you <3

Amongst the doom and gloom about orbageddon here, I hope I can bring some smiles with a video of one of Yippi’s creative rings from our extra rounds against EXG after the GvG.

Scnd is looking for GvG’s. 20v20 or 15v15 please. Toss me a message ingame, or another of our contacts on gw2gvg if I’m not online.
Second Law.
We don’t feel like we have the “crown” yet, we still need to GvG GD
Second Law.
To second Ragnar, also the issue where we had tons of spectators on the hill while some of our guys were waiting in queue. It’s so much easier if you can just watch the stream – I know it loses the novelty of “being there”, but if you’re stubbornly sat there cuz you wanna watch, you’re not gonna be able to watch anything while our team is in queue.
We wouldn’t normally have queue issues but there was a trolly crakitten 19:55 BST where about 5 of our guys had to restart so it was painful trying to get them back into a full zone.
Second Law.
Thankyou VII for the INCREDIBLE fights. Hardest I think we’ve had, it was a raw, gritty battle of persistence and endurance to pull through. The moment someone overstepped even an inch, they were dead.
I can’t wait to watch back the stream and hear all the commentary!
Second Law.
Going to post here as a last-ditch effort incase it’s noticed more than anywhere else;
If you’re sat in the map to watch in person, if you wouldn’t mind leaving and watching on Chemso’s stream to make room for our guys in queue, it’d help this go on faster.
Second Law.
THIS IS HAPPENING. Live commentary from Ogro and Sacrx on Chemso’s stream.
Second Law.
I fully support the initiative here. We’ve got our own little corner here, so let’s use it
Second Law.
I may have to reinforce that it was the reasons for the cancel that caused such upset, but I won’t post them here as it’s not my place.
Second Law.
surprisingly entertaining week , lotsa fun
ah and hola [SCND] ,
welcome to RS – you guys doin a little servertour?
We’re doing some GvG touring, looking to smash some friends in the face with hammers. Getting in all the fights we can before orbageddon
The rest of the time we’re doing some hardcore PPT roaming.
Second Law.
tbh cancelling happens for a number of reasons and you just need to suck it up.
and it’s a shame we wont get to fight you this week, at least we would have turned up
Sadly YaK only wanted to scrimm us as well.
Second Law.
If you guys just want the point’s we can confirm 5:0 for you. No problem. But currently we got some internal things we need to clear. That’s the reason why we already changed the status “Available for GvG to NO”.
I won’t accept a win when we didn’t fight, even if the community feels as though a forfeit should lead to an automatic loss. We don’t want points on a site, we want fights. It’s all about testing ourselves against you, win or lose.
Second Law.
I need to know the general community’s opinion on something. We all know that dodging happens, but where do we stand when a confirmed GvG gets cancelled?
This week, Mya cancelled their GvG against us. This is not a normal “dodge” – this is a fight that had been organised and confirmed, and was even up on the GW2 GvG site under “upcoming GvG’s”.
Scnd has transferred to Riverside for a GvG tour week and Mya was our first match today. They cancelled on us yesterday, with less than 24hrs notice. We, as a guild, do not feel as though their reasons are acceptable and we are extremely disappointed.
I can understand not wanting official GvG’s if you are lacking leaders, core members, and the like, but when you confirm a GvG that is a commitment that you would expect people to upkeep. You can’t really go from wanting an official fight one day, to only a scrimm the next without a big reason.
If both sides do not agree on the cancelling of the fight, does it count as a forfeit and an instant loss for the guild pulling out? Surely pulling out of a confirmed GvG looks worse on your “rep” than if you were to lose a match.
Second Law.
