Honestly, like all complaints of the system, it sounded it’s a people problem. You guys got grouped with a lot of bad players.

Queue typical elitist response?

i’m good at the game personally, mainly PvP always play games to compete in PvP. But to my understanding this is supposed to be the “peoples game” favoring the casual player such as myself, not stuffy hey be an elite god walking amongst mere mortals title holder (which i was in GW1) and show full TA gear before you even get into a TA party type of game.

It’s the response best representing the reality. The reality is that it didn’t take some miracle group to not die in these dungeons before, and it doesn’t now. Nothing fundamental changed between your good runs and bad runs other than people. So your problems are people problems.

If you aren’t having fun, then take a break from the game. Wasting money to be mad is either a terrible fetish or no different than throwing money to get kicked in the head, which is probably not healthy either.

If you just want to dump your emotional baggage somewhere, you are barking up the wrong tree doing it on the forum. Go talk to the devs about why you think it’s a bad change. Trying to start arguments on the internet is pointless, especially seeing how you aren’t even enjoying it.

Haha, take a break he says. What will Anet think when a large proportion are “taking a break” and they are losing out on a part of the community from the game?

Also I said you missed the point as in my post was solely, and I repeat SOLELY, to dump my emotional baggage, argue, and try to bark up some kind of storm of words between players. The more contradiction being made seems like a good way to get Anets attention on a personal note and give a message of what a change like this does to players who aren’t ok with a biased change.

“Casual friendly” does not mean “you can complete all content without ever learning game/class mechanics”. It’s not reasonable to expect to die your way to rewards, and allowing a community to do so long-term kills any skill in the playerbase. It’s possible to get exotic gear without running capstone dungeons.

Then what was the point of Anets big montage of information and video’s before release trying to exemplify how it will cater to all levels of differently skipped players.

Your not making since because your exclaiming something that has no place within this game.

It doesn’t take a genius to learn the mechanics of the game, just as well as it does not add up when your at your point of comfortability within the game yet your still being kept from reaping the rewards your working towards.

Sure its not reasonable to “die towards completion” noone wants the rewards handed to them for free, but what does it mean when you have a strategy or assimilation in a game and its not only taken away from you, but it also makes it so that your new way of assimilating is impractical with other variables such as personal lives, time spent in game, and even the fact of in game learning curves being slowed by others ignorance.

You seem to have missed the entire point of this post.

Also yea, I wanted to add that I usually am last to survive, like my run I just attempted which made me outraged is a perfect example of why I disagree with this system.

We started off, and died at the wolves because 2 went down, which caused 2 to be open, then I died. We were wtf’ing when we couldnt res-run and quickly learned what was going on.

So what happened? After the inital worm fight when the boss worm killed us all, one went afk then logged off, another was complaining and quit, and I was furious with the new system so I couldn’t be in the dungeon any longer.

So my rage is not pointed completely to the “difficulty” but more opposing the randomness that casual gamers or even hardcore gamers who are stuck “lfg’ing” for a half hour for a party finds themselves with quitters or people who cannot fathom a stratdegy past auto-attack and skip mobs.

My complaint for killing my interested in one quick failed run is completely at fault for this poorly chosen path that Anet put on people like me. Not grouping myself, I mean people who feel the same way I do, not as a casual gamer. Mediocre gamers up to hardcore gamers will have mixed feelings.

This simply will not work for me with my stance on it.

Yea well usually I don’t when I am with a team thats worth something.

I am not throwing others under the bus, I space out sometimes and die out of stupidity, but I also have been in “good” teams and “bad” teams, where my personal take of my skill is about average so with the implementation of this new system equals me not progressing what so ever if I am unfortunate enough to find a “bad” team for the night.

Thats how I am dying in these dungeons in the first place.

Yea, taking out this “res-rushing” idea completely ruined a large part of my want to keep playing currently.

I’m too casual to get into selectively choosing the correct players who can work together completely through and through, as well as spending the little time I have to play intervals at a time between school and work hoping that neither I nor my teammates are downed because of the now time expansion between catching up the pace we lost.

Yea ok, great idea. Make me instantly agitated after a long day of classes and work.

I get how a TA run could be possible with the right team and a lot of practice, but it is hard enough finding a team period for the run.

I am just a casual gamer, I do things with my life all day, then I like to unwind and do a few runs and work towards my dungeon gear, now I am completely unenthusiastic about dungeons completely.

It would be neat if everyone complained enough to get it turned back, or implement a different system because forget this bull.
