Ok, so we think we know what the problem is but need your help to prove it.
Warning : this is a bit technical.
The way it works is that each map (eg “Queensdale on Stormbluff Isle”) keeps a connection to the guild server. We think that for some maps, this connection is getting broken, so you can’t represent your guild when you’re in that map.
In order to help us test this, please move to a few different maps and try representing your guild when in each one. So move from Queensdale to Divinity’s Reach to Lion’s Arch and just keep trying.
There’s another test you can do – when in each map, try sending an ingame mail to another player. If it takes a long time (about 20 seconds), the map has lost its connection to the guild server.
Basically, what we’d like to hear is:
- It doesn’t work on map XXX on server YYY (eg “Queensdale on Stormbluff Isle”)
- And then it did work on map AAA on server BBB (eg “Divinity’s Reach on Stormbluff Isle”)
- Mail was really slow to send on map XXX and fast on map AAA
If you could give me some info like that, that would be a massive help!
I hear your pain and we really want to fix this quickly. Your info will help us do that.

Thanks….Testing those areas now and will repost result. Asked our members of the guild to do the same.
Tried the [Guild Bank] NPC in queensdale and she says I am not in a guild. Same with Promoter and Registrar. I am the guild leader.
An officer of the guild was able to access the guild bank from the [Guild Bank] NPC in Black Citidel
Edit: Well ALL of the Guild releated NPCs tell my I am not in a guild. Armorer, Registrar, Promoter, [Guild Bank], Weaponsmith

Again this morning the Guild promoter and registrar are telling my officers and I that we are not in a guild. We have had the problem since 3 day headstart with the guild system. Or build ques and such seem to work fine though I have not started one in a few days. We have a guild stash that we cannot access cause the Guild Registrar says we are not in a guild or have permission.
As I stated in a previous post this issues has ben ongoing and our work around was to map so that we would be in overflow and everything worked fine. Now that players are starting to spread out mapping into overflow is not an option since for example Queensdale main city we have not seen overflow there in quite a while.
Same as everyone else. This bug has ben ongoing since headstart. Guild Promoter and Registrar do not recognize that you are in a guild. The system worked fine while in overflow but now with players spreading out it is rare that we see overflow.
Working fine for our guild. Try starting the upgrade while in an overflow area.
[KOD] is recruiting new members. We are are a guild that has ben around for a while. KOD was began its life on the game Neverwinter Nights and then moved on to GW1 and now on to GW2. We are an active friendly mature guild. All are welcome. Feel free to check us out or look for us in game.

Map to an area that will put you in overflow and then try to represent. They are still working on guild system and most everything with the guild systems seems to work fine in overflow.
Search the wiki. The skill is so that you can be a squad commander in wvw. Would link it but I am on my mobile.
