I agree with OP that it should be changed. How it’s now just favors zergs, you never see small groups trying to destroy gate without siege, it’s always that 50+ zerg.

Its the first day, of course everyone is going to go the the new area. But once the newness of it wears off I’ll bet zergs avoid it. And that’s when the small group fights come in.

Problem is location of these new capture points. Zergs used to go across lake to next objective and they will still do after patch but after stopping to capture few of these new points.

It would have been better if 4 of these new points were where Jumping puzzle, skritt and centaur camps were and maybe 1 point at lake.

+1 I agree about the terrible skins, but do you have proof you crafted it for all we know it could just be a drop from a chest?

Why would he lie about some trivial detail how he got it? Far as I know most active WvW players have been making their first weapons on my server since yesterday, so it’s possible to craft these already.

Change it so that if there is more than 3 golems within 1500 range that only 3 works and rest get some sort of “too much of interference” debuff which prevent skill activation. Also change that golem cant use way point or mesmer portals.

Yes, the chance you are going to fail is higher, but see, that’s the definition of GREATER RISK. However it appears you are complaining that there is no GREATER REWARD and that is just not true.

It’s more like 2=2. As it’s now you can spend 1 ticket to do easy mode and get 1 bag or you can spend tickets to activate gambits to do hard mode, but still ration of tickets spend and reward bags is 1:1, only difference is that with more gambits active you take greater risk of failing.

Endure pain works on the aoe. I used it times when I didn’t have endurance to dodge and was surrounded by red circles.

I did it with condition warrior with sword/shield+longbow. Shield stance works on these shadows following you and you can clear them up if there is too many of them by gathering them and then using shield stance. I had something like 17k+ bleed damage from pin down (koi cakes+master tuning crystal) and only got to use that twice before boss died.

Do you have a problem running up to a flame ram or arrow cart and bashing it?

It’s not what I like to do in WvW and definitely don’t want to see more of it in WvW. I rather see less siege bashing and more pvp & gvg in wvw.

While the Barricade blocks movement, you can still fire ranged weapons and targetable skills past the Barricade as it does not block you view.

And melee should just watch there? There is already enough walls in wvw, don’t need to add these to open fields.

Or, you can run up and start bashing on the barricade. It only has the health of a flame ram. If you are running solo after another solo invader and he gets past a barricade at a choke point that you can’t get by, then continuosly pings you with range from safety, yet you have no range to attack back?

That sound very boring to go melee it or go ranged and shoot it from safe distance until it go down.

@Terrorsquad – Cut it out, your server people does that too. The match-up is a bit stagnant, so I am leveling guardian in WvW. There seems to be no problem of even your server people ganking solo up-leveled character, so what is it that you hope to accomplish by posting these screenshots and singling out people?

There has been a bit higher population on PS maybe now, because I haven’t managed to get into EB yet. I just play 30-60 minutes at a time, but only once managed to get into EB. Lets see how it is during week.

Get to EB and you’ll see for yourself what those ppl at South SM are doing, they come at our keep with 1 or 2, I attack them, all they can do is run away when I chase..

None of FSP on EB is doing this

Any server that have SM have players who do that, specially if there is also waypoint in SM. I have seen plenty of FSP run back to their tower/keep when they see they are about to lose and I have nothing against that.

You might want to rethink that part about conditions and these being useful vs thieves. Shadow’s Embrace nearly every thief have that and it remove condition when thief enter stealth and another condition 3 seconds after that, so stealth spamming thief is removing conditions very fast.

WvW need new maps + map rotation

In my opinion WvW feel very stale currently, not because which server you fight, but that maps are starting to feel old. It would be nice to have new maps (all 3 borderlands and center map or two) and add rotation that new maps would be used every 2nd month.

WvW would be so much more fun without arrow carts at all. It need to be changed to something like how cata/treb work where you charge first depending how far you shoot and if there is roof/wall between path of arrows then that would block arrows. Limit number of arrow carts (not other siege equipment) more and in return give players in siege increased zoom.

Make score scale by percentage of total WvW population and whats ration between servers.

When servers are full and each server would have 1/3 share of total number of players in WvW then each server would get score like it is now. But when WvW servers are for example 5% full (night/mornings) each server would only get 5% of points they normally do. This would reduce impact by small group of players during night/morning, but they could still have small impact.

Also each server would get bonus for points if they have less than 1/3 of total number of players in WvW. Example if server 1 got 70%, server 2 got 20% and server 3 got 10% of total number of players in WvW then server 2 and 3 would get bonus points for their score.

I don’t buy that most thieves play d/p when I see most thieves spamming CnD. You know that you can have 2 weapon sets right?

yes and in wvw if you don’t have a sb to escape the zergs, well roaming isn’t going to be very fun

Try shadowstep if stealth alone isn’t enough for you to hide from zergs.

Thieves in GW2 have made me miss WoW rogues. Atleast you could break rogues stealth in WoW if you damaged him and wow rogues couldn’t just stealth in combat without burning long cool down (vanish). Fighting GW2 thief is like fighting WoW rogue with vanish off cool down.

Thieves don’t have weakness. They have stealth they can enter when ever they want, good mobility even outside of stealth and one of best way to remove conditions.

While most other classes have to use food/runes/skills to counter conditions, thieves just get shadow’s embrace from tier 1 shadow arts traits. These that don’t know thief with this trait remove condition every time he enter stealth and 3 sec after that while being in stealth, so thats 2 conditions removed by CnD spamming thief every 3 sec.

Bring back the siege bug!

I feel sorry for you guys. Never been as bored of WvW as I am now because fighting Riverside who seem to just build arrow carts.

If one class is better than any other class in 1v1 that will just lead to more and more players pick that class. Look thieves for example, each weeks you see more and more thieves in WvW. Players are rerolling thieves because it’s the fotm class there.

How do you counter this?

Group of thieves that stay inside keep in stealth and wait for opportunity to kill lord.

I can’t think anything else than having group of players guarding keep lord and hope thieves get bored and leave or cover whole inner keep with stealth traps.

Any other suggestions?

Molten Facility step in the right direction

Bosses are fun and got interesting mechanics. Here is just my personal opinion what I would change.

One common complaint I have seen is that its so easy. There is no way to make 1 difficulty level that please everyone so in my opinion would be nice that in future similar dungeons you could go to higher levels of difficulty like you can in fractals. So these who are there first time or just want to take it more easier can do level 1 difficulty which would also let them see and learn boss mechanics. These looking for more challenge could do level 10 for example where boss mechanics would be deadly (no Agony mechanics please). Higher level could have magic find bonus or something similar.

Another thing are these red circles, which i never really liked in PvE (works well for PvP). I know you can turn these off, but then there often isn’t any visual or sound warning for player where boss use its ability other than red circle. It makes it bit less interesting boss encounter when it turns to “don’t stand in red circles”. For example last bosses instead placing red circles boss could make cross hair on ground where it shoot. Another example on first boss when it send these rows of flames that instead having multiple red circles you would see sort of scan animation of area where boss shoot these flames.

Overall I really enjoyed this dungeon and hope to see more similar in future
