Unfortunately a lot of people came here with the impression that this was a casual game, instead the dungeons are for some reason for the snobby hardcore elitist jerks. I swear there are such a small amount of these guys, and they spend most of their time waiting for these forums to pop up so they can be jerks to people who just want to have fun. Sorry jerks, but we don’t want to have a 2nd job of spamming for people, also we want to have fun. Not put up with your attitudes, thanks, shut up and go away.
I’ll sign the petition for LFG and lowering the so called “difficulty” of oneshotting dungeons.
Personally, I haven’t even bothered doing dungeons aside from just going in to try them out. If they were as advertised, ya know, any profession can go in with any spec… haha not true. I also don’t have 5 hours to waste on no rewards and a lot of repairs, especially since I’m not willing to find a bunch of elitist snobby grinders to play with all the time. Which seems like this game is full of those types.
It’s cool though, I just won’t do the dungeons. I’ll do my casual thing, and stop playing this crap eventually, like when a more rewarding game (torchlight2) comes out… I can already see there is nothing left after I finish exploring 100%, not sure I want to do that on another character.
I can’t complain really, it’s been something to do for a few weeks until a cheaper and higher quality game comes out.
I agree, I can’t stand games that one shot you. That is not fun in any way, the fun part is learning the dungeon and the challenging part should come from overcoming obstacles and patterns, or figuring out puzzles. Sure, dying can happen if you can’t figure those things out, but that should be without some stupid overkill damage.
The fact that you have to spend most of your time running back, having no idea what is killing you, and constantly fiddling with camera angles because you have to run around to stay alive is just bad mechanics to combat and it’s not worth doing the dungeons as long as they are in this state. There are even plenty of events that aren’t worth the cost of repairs because they want to have this silly one shot deal. Dying in a game makes sense, but only if we know what’s killing us, and have a chance to react without constantly running in circles likekitten
