look im generally a nice person, and when im not tired and grumpy im more than happy to run LFG groups with noob players (iv run an AC path 1 that went for 2 hours, it wasnt worth it but I did it anyway!) but from the heavens above, is the majority of the new player base unable to read?
The amount of times iv asked nicely for “level 80s only” because id like to get that particular run out of the way, and iv had under leveled people join, like level 43’s join for CM (when EXP mode is for 45’s I believe) is… its getting rediculous

as the newly appointed leader, I would like to invite all Australian and Oceanic timezone players, to come join one of the oldest guilds from Sea of Sorrows! Having said that we are currently spread across multiple servers, and we’re not fussy about where you’re from, we understand that some of our friends up north work unusual hours and cant play during NA prime time, so we’d be more than happy to have you on the team!
We love our GW2, and we’re super excited for Heart of Thorns and the content its going to bring! all of us tend to to do a little bit of everything, although because were spread across multiple servers at this time it makes WvW a little difficult, but if thats something people are interested in, im happy to organize fun events for our players

I know every little bit of info helps the devs fix bugs so the more info the better
So most people know by now, theirs a bit of a bug with items of the same name not stacking together, even though the stack hasn’t reached 250, and I was playing around with items in my inventory when I found something, I thought id share in case the devs dont know about it.
It seems when, I take 2 stacks of items, lets say one is 80 and the other is 21 for example. if i take that stack of 21 and split it (i seem to be able to take any number of items from that stack as long as it successfully splits, so 20 being the max) I can then take that new pile of 20 items, and successfully put it on top of the bigger 80 item stack. However that still leaves 1 item out on its own, because the origional item stack still wont merge with the larger pile.
I can do a series of screen shots to demonstrate it if its needed, but hopefully this helps you guys with your de-bugging process
Update: I seem to only be able to replicate this effect so far with the Mystic Forge Stones, but ill keep playing

But I think there may still be a problem :c Meeting the Asura does indeed seem fixed, but I went to do the World Summit, out of curiosity (and because thats another achievement im missing) and it still appears to be moteless :c

Hey everyone! So i’m having a little issue wih my client im wondering if anyone can help me out or alert the devs to the issue at all
So i’m running windows 8, i have the GW2 shortcut pinned to my taskbar, have done for a while, and today I launched my client per normal, and instead of the “downloading 0KB” that I normally get before it patches itself, I get a blinking “Connection error(s) detected, Retrying…” before it settles on that error, stops loading and does nothing else. Task Manager says the client is running just fine, but I cant even close the client after I open it without force quitting the program.
Im going to do other things in the meantime, but im hoping someone has a fix for me ASAP regardless
see, im completely kittened off because I cant find my town clothes ANYWHERE, my charr had boring origional clothes yes, but i also had a quaggan hat and the drill item and i cant find them ANYWHERE!! I want my quaggan hat kitten it!!
I know, I know what your thinking “spirits are so terrible why would you even bother?”
well for two reasons, 1 i want to play around with a healing / support / damage on the side kind of build, especially with the new healing skills for each class, and 2 this is my second ranger and one a little more flexible for my experimental needs. Fortunately enough they released the new Power Precision Healing Power gear which I figured would be an excellent match.
But heres my problem.
The new healing skill, for what its worth, just doesnt seem to add up.
Experimenting with it in sPvP, i think i managed to get its healing proc up to about 900 roughly?
Factor in the trait lines that increase the proc chance and everything out for the trait, im running around with a healing skill that… gives a small health boost, but only with a 70% proc chance but can only be activated once every 10 seconds, and the spirit summon only lasts for 60 seconds.
I dont know about anyone else but this just seems… completely underpowered. Im not saying I feel the skill needs to be OP, just more USEable, and the same goes for other spirits i think too.
And now I feel like im singing the same old song and dance like every other ranger… but i thought up a few ideas:
~ Take the spirit summon off a timer, or at lease increase it.
From memory, warriors have what, a 100% banner uptime? while spirits, if not killed, only last for 1 minuet, so if your fortunate enough to get left alone, or like me your more of a PvE’er, your having to re summon your support “buffs” way too often and you get sick of it. Not all that fun
~Reduce the internal cooldown in some way.
Even if its a trait line thing, 10 seconds just seems incredibly excessive for an internal cooldown on a buff, 4 or 5 seconds feels a little bit more accessable and not like im dragging around dead weights that are too lazy to throw out a much needed booster.
~Take out the internal buff cooldown but ALSO reduce the buff.
this is just a way of balancing things out more. the warrior banners are a constant buff, so why cant ranger spirits be the same? this way at least if they have to have a health bar they can be usefull for a while.
Im sure i can think of a lot more ways of tweaking this, and I realise this is just an empty rant that no-ones going to read, but I know how hard it is to make the great game you want it to be and also keep your customers happy, and so far ANet does a pretty good job at both.
So heres my two cents, read it, dont read it, its all the same to me.
and im probably not going to explain this very well, but I was hoping maybe a forum or game mod would be able to answer me on this one.
Im getting close to finishing my first legendary, after spending wayyy too long making it, and I know that all legendarys come out with Power Vitality Toughness stats on them. But id like to be able to do a condition build with my ranger and therefore transmute the bow to be Precision Toughness Condition Damage, and I know that you can transmute using an exotic weapon with a legendary and it will still keep its purple name and legendary status? (i think that was one of the recent patches but its one thing id like confirmed just in case)
But heres my question, if i were to transmute my legendary onto an exotic with the stat im after is that going to stuff me over later on if GW2 decides to implement Ascended weapons and increase legendary base stats? or am I safe to change the stats on it without having to worry about it being crippled later on?
I second this notion and raise it to include Plush Griffon Plushes from the Wintersday event, those things were just so darn cute!

Just doing CoE with a PUG group on path 1 and were up to Bjarl the Rampager.
we’ve been doing this boss for a good 30+ minuets now as we cannot get him to hit the wall and loose the buff, we’ve tried all the tactics and he just runs towards people near the pillars and takes a swing at them, not knock over happening at all.
Anyone else have this problem?
I agree with the OP, ANet is going out of there way to try something different with the MMO scene and all people can do is complain.
its not like achievement points mean anything in the end its just and added bonust like xBox achievements. Unless your OCD and have to have ALL achievements completed in which case I feel sorry for you.

Im not missing the point, my point was that yes, events happen, and yes, sometimes you have real life things that are more important than a game. But thats just it, its a game. There will be more events to come and there will always be events that you can do, but then there will be events that just arent convenient for you. If iv learnet anything from playing GW2 is that its how it was intended to be run.
I personally havn’t had any real time to do this event myself, but I dont mind because the new zone will still be there tomorow, as will the dungeon. But life comes first.

Yea I can see why that would be an issue… I think overall the fractals thing neds another look over now that the masses have tried it out, we just got so frustrated we called it quits after the second fractal
that’s all well and good Turtle except that at the moment i’m alive at the bottom of a ground plane with now way of killing myself should the rest of my team wipe, this is wherin lies my problem.
Now… ANet I know you guys wanted to make it so we couldn’t spam respawn to complete these fractals and thus increasing there difficulty, but you guys may want to look into putting waypoints in or something untill the dungeons are a little more 10% no problems found.
And im only saying this because iv headed into fractals for the first time today myself and while there an interesting concept I have a PoS internet connection as it is, so naturally lag issues… that’s not what bothered me.
The problem is iv fallen out of the map and there is literally nothing I can do
My team is currently 4 man-ing the fractal where you have to release the seals on he giant statue with the hammer because somehow, and I don’t even know how this happened, we were travelling up to the 3rd floor where you have to dodge past all the wind traps (again remember I have lag here) and the first time, yes okay I fell out onto the empty ground plane and died, no biggie just wait for a wipe. THIS time however iv somehow managed to survive this… 50 story fall to the ground and so even if my team DOES wipe, there will be nothing we can do, because i’m literally stuck.
Just a little frustrated currently… thought a vent on the forums was appropriate. And I know you guys are doing your best its a big job, and I thank you for it. I just hope a little brainstorming goes towards tweaking the fractals as i’m sure i’m not the only one to have this problem.
had a similar problem, I was in on the puzzle for the achievement. Fortunately I came back the next day and met some nice people from the enemy servers that were more than happy to let me and my small handful of friends finish the puzzle without any hassling. Isn’t it nice when we can all work together?
I actually prefer the short bow legendary over the longbow, I reacon it’d be rather hillarious, not… a big fan of the nature longbow… which is a bit dissheartening ’cuz i mainly play with longbow as the ranger… so ill probably end up getting a greatsword first, probably twilight… such a sexy weapon

tl;dr, but wouldnt it seem a bit… un-ballanced if they just gave you a button to put away your pet?
think about it, as an elementalist, you have to constantly be swapping elements on your F1,F2 etc etc just to keep yourself going, because thats what makes them unique. If your going to make it so the ranger can simply “put away” the pet, even for a buff, youd probably have to go, “well right elementalists can only pick one or two elements and have them buffed to compensate” or something along those lines. Pets are difficult to handle yes but I was under the impression that was the idea behind the class specific skils. Its just something you have to adjust to utilising properly between classes. I’m probably wrong but thats what I tend to get when I voice my opinion.
I agree, you make some excelent points and it would be nice to be able to use my longbow for some heavy DPS, as I think a lot of rangers are favouring short bows currently. And I wont even get started on the 1 handed sword issues…
I really dont think rangers need rifles… im more than happy pew pew’ing away with my bows. Having said that if they DID give rangers rifles I can almost GUARENTEE the other classes will start QQ’ing that were OP because we have more weapon sets than them. its more than likely a balancing factor over everything else.
Also, theres 3 underwater weapons, each class gets 2 depending on what they are (magic classes get tridents etc etc) so theres the excuse for the harpoon guns.
I was simply under the impression that because the ranger really doesn’t have any other skills that increase movement speed, it makes the horn ideal for that purpose, and that’s about it. iv actually stopped using sword / horn because while the movement speed is great, the sword animation lock is just too painful to work around currently. Having said that I carry a sword-horn/dagger/torch at all times. (mainly because the torch also helps in dark room situations)
I didn’t start noticing this until I mentioned it to some of my friends who also play the game. I have a problem where I can only hear vocal audio if the source is coming from anywhere but the centre of field.
so any NPC chatter, most animated cut scenes (that is the ones with real time flyover) and any audio lines that my character may say either in combat, or anything else, are all muted, unless I move the source off to the side of my cameras view. The further from the centre, the louder the audio.
This could easily be my audio drivers or something else wrong with my computer but I just thought id check and see if anyone else was having the same problem. ^^

It seems that after completing the Order of Whispers quest line, and being made by the lovely Tibalt to participate in an ale drinking competition with pirates, and becoming fully inducted into the order shortly thereafter, that my Charr Ranger has become… well the best termanology would be an alcaholic…
Okay not really, humour aside I finished the final section of my personal story in the Order and got my wonderfull [Slayer’s Vest], but its caused a bug on my character that no-one else seems to have. Take a look at her eyes in the two screenshots
