Major Concern- Mounts and "motion sickness"

I’ve acquired a bit of vertigo as I have gotten older since I was about 55-60. I played WOW for 8 years with mounts and flying. Rarely did I have issues with my vertigo unless it flew right over a cliff downwards. Other than that, it wasn’t an issue. In other SWTOR, I had very little issues with flight. Gliding in GW2 has been no more of an issue than flying in WOW or SWTOR. However, the mounts is problematic. I’ve tinkered with the settings as some suggested here and have seen little relief. My biggest issue is the ‘jerkiness’ of the movement and quick rotation even though I have put my graphics rotation on low. I’m not sure this is going to be an expansion that I will be able to enjoy due to this mount mechanic. Hopefully, Anet will take this back to the drawing board and come up with some solutions.

I’m curious about the (2) Bag Slot Expansions if you are already maxed on Bag Slot Expansions. Does this allow you to exceed the normal maximum slots? Also, it doesn’t specifically indicate if this is account bound but on the Bag Slot Expansion it does show as account bound. If I get the (2) Bag Slot expansions via this pack and can’t use it on my primary account, can I send it to my secondary account? If I can’t, then basically that is useless.

Game sets needed

I know this isn’t a request forum but there is not a game enhancement request forum so there you go.

One feature that has been ‘greatly’ lacking in GW2 is the ability to easily switch out gear sets.

Example: I want to wear my Ahamid’s armor set for survivability with my Greatbow of the Sunless and Claymore of the Sunless as my weapons along with certain trinkets and a specific aquabreather. However, on my damage set, I want to use my Zojja’s set with Aureate Longbow and Zenith Avenger Greatsword along with my damage trinkets and aquabreather. Finally, I’d like to use my Celestial set of armor and weapons for balance encounters. That’s 18 pieces of armor, 7 different weapons, 18 different trinkets / back pieces and three different aquabreathers / underwater weapon sets.

It takes way too long to have to ‘manually’ find the proper item which is an issue as I have the max bags – 20 slots with the 20 slot starter backpack and then swap it out one by one. OK, so I’m lazy! But it is a feature that is in other games and makes for a more enjoyable experience in changing your setup.

GW2 needs to implement this ability which can be put on the Hero options as ‘Sets’ with a maximum of 5 different sub-tabs for each individual set or, better yet, just allow the player to create his own unique sets. A player could have 2 or could have 20, although I wouldn’t think it would be a bad thing for there to be a 10 set limit. That should cover a survival, damage, and balance sets for PvE, WvW and PvP as well as one set for fractals.

Yes, I know this will create some additional storage but, as a programmer, it’s just a table and records. But the end result is more satisfied players who will play GW2 a lot longer.

We need Armor Sets!!!!

GuildWars 2 really needs armor sets, preferably 5. The ability to easily change your armor needs from something like Power-Precision-Ferocity to Power-Toughness-Vitality. One of the most tedious and irritating things I have to do in this game is to change armor sets, especially if you have 24 pieces of armor you have to navigate to swap out. It is one area of GW2 that should have been in the initial release.

It would be nice to have this ability as a drop-down option of the Hero / Equipment links, maybe just between Equipment and Wardrobe. Give players the ability to create up to 5 armor sets. That should be enough for all purposes (damage / protection / balance / PvP / WvW). And it would be even nicer if this freed up bag space but I can live with having to use bag space for armor. ;-)

Your logic befuddles me. So you use the requirement to have multiple computers to restrict playing multiple instances? Didn’t you know there are virtual machine programs as well as 3rd party programs that give you the capability to run the game more than once on one computer? I can do that. But it should be part of the game. Restrictions do nothing more than create opportunities for others to find a way around those restrictions. I’ve seen it so many times over the past 40+ years in technology as that has been my major field. Companies never learn including gaming companies. At least Blizzard thought outside the box on this one.

So I wanted another account but, alas, I cannot run two instances of Guild Wars 2 EVEN if I have downloaded and installed the 2nd purchased copy into a different folder. The problem stems from the Gw2.dat file for the 2nd copy not having a unique registry entry so it accesses the Gw2.dat file in the original folder.

Guys, I had three WOW accounts and was able to run all three on this computer. There is no reason to restrict a person from running a legitimate purchased copy of your program on their own computer.

Now I don’t know what your underlying game framework is setup but I’m sure you have some pretty smart people who can figure out how to fix this. I consider this a BUG, pure and simple.

OH! It violates your terms of service? Your terms of service needs changing. OH! We don’t allow multi-tasking but we do allow muti-botting? Come on…. it’s 2013! Get your head out of the sand and fix this. OH! I can play two copies of the game on ‘two’ computers? I’m doing it but that is not the point. The point is that I have purchased two copies of your game and I should be able to run both of them on the same computer at the same time.

Now why would I want to run two copies at the same time when you don’t even have the “/follow” command which is SOOOOOO useful in WOW but you don’t have it on this game? Simple. I want to participate in the world events but I don’t want to have to sit and wait, sit and wait, until the bosses pop up. With two games running, I can park one toon on a boss location and play / level other toons on the 2nd instance of the game. There is entirely too much waiting and waiting and waiting in this game.

Can we get an icon or text on the Heroes window indicating which Order we are in as well as on the character select screen? Finding out which Order you’re in requires reading the storyline and it’s just so frustrating when you have several toons.

Please give us ‘complete’ control of camera angles. If you’re doing jumping puzzles or diving achievements, it can come in handy to be able to get a completely vertical view.

Are your drivers up-to-date? Bad Error Warning

When I attempted to run the game tonight, it gave me a black window warning me that I wasn’t running the proper driver for my card and I would have issues with the game. It indicated that I should be running the Nvidia 304.79 driver.

Hmmm…..I am running the 555 GTX which is NOT a supported device for that driver. NCSoft needs to update their driver detection routine.

The game seems to run with no issues.

Now if someone can tell me how to ‘slow’ down my camera turning speed.
