Well, since we’ve yet to see many post about this issue, you might consider trying a -repair of the client (instructions found via the ‘Support’ link above/below and ‘Search – Repair’) in case of corrupted file(s).

Good luck.

I already tried repairing files before opening the ticket with the support team / starting this question on the forum. It didn’t solve.

NONE of my LS2 achievements and Explorable Paths are unlocked to my whole account.

With the exception of the occasional buggy achievement that lets you unlock it early, LS2 is set up so that you can only obtain achievements on characters that have already played through the story chapters once. That was never an account-wide unlock.

Similarly, dungeon Explorable Paths were always unlocked by character. You’re always able to ENTER an explorable path, even if your character hasn’t done story. However, you can only OPEN an explorable path if your character has done story. Now, some time ago (over a year ago), they did a change with PvP reward tracks that required you to replay Story on every dungeon in order to unlock its respective PvP reward track. However, that shouldn’t have affected your characters’ ability to open an Explorable path if you’d done story on it. If you know for a fact you did a story path on a particular character, you could bring that up with support as a bug. However, they might not unlock it for you; luckily running story mode doesn’t take long for any of them.

I already reported that as a bug, and the support asked me to post on the fóruns so the devs would read it and fix it if possible. About “making the history mode dungeons”, they don’t take long (fact), but it’s annoying when you are playing a game with a different toon / race / profession for new content / history (also a fact).

I agree replaying the the missions to unlock achievements, but replaying history mode dungeons with the bad loot 8 more times or playing the LS2 again 8 more times for no advance? What’s the point of it once WE players already know what’s going to happen?

Ok, I thought the OP was saying he could not enter any Explorable Dungeon paths (after having done Story Mode). I am aware that one must do the Story Mode first.

If by OP you mean me, well I can’t anymore. Either I can start by my self. But I could at least enter them before the patch. That’s my point.

You can sometimes get credit if another player completed the chapter and opens it for you and sometimes you can complete it the toon’s first time through).

So you are saying the real “bug / issue” was the fact I was able to advance some tiers on my LS2 when 1st playing it on other toon other than my main?

No, you always had to do Story on a character in order to OPEN an explorable path on that same character. You can enter the explorable paths without doing so, though; you just can’t open it.

And you are saying that I played explorable mode because other players opened it when i was partied with them on other toons (not my main)?

I’m asking this just to be sure. English is not my mother language and sometimes it’s hard for me to understand some statements on the 1st time I read.

I’m pretty sure I am not. I remember running explorable path on my ranger and i never have done history mode on that. I also asked to other players i know in game and none of my contacts had to make everything back when they wanted to try with a new toon.

I want some one to correct my statement if I am wrong.

As far as I am concerned, when you unlock certain thing on the game, it’s to all toons on that account and any of them can continue it, right?

This makes references to skins, dyes, achievements, everything on the game as far as I know.

Well, after the last big patch – launched on April 19th, 2016, referenced on the patch notes, NONE of my LS2 achievements and Explorable Paths are unlocked to my whole account.

I’ll try to be more clear.

Before April 19th, 2016, I was able to replay my LS2 on any lvl 80 toon from my account to try to get a new tier achievement from it with a different approach from another profession. Now, after that patch, I have to play the whole LS2 history as it was something new to me, being unable to progress my tiers on other toons which are not my main toon.

The same goes with the Explorable paths from all the dungeons (as shown in the pictures). My main toon can join any dungeon and try any Explorable Path (1st image). All other toons i get the same as shown for my revenant toon (2nd image). It’s now asking me to repeat the history mode on every single toon i have on my account, like if I have never done the history mode yet.

What is wrong? Why those changes and why they are nothing about “this reset” listed on the patch notes?

Quoting the dungeon section from the patch notes, to show there is nothing related about the issue I’m expecting:

" DUNGEONS

We increased dungeon rewards, including both gold and tokens. We chose to use a repeatable achievement to deliver gold rewards, as it encourages completing multiple dungeon paths while allowing dungeon runners to play as many dungeons as they like when it’s convenient for them, rather than tying players to a daily reset.

*Added a new repeatable achievement for completing 8 unique dungeon paths. Completing this achievement will award players with 5 gold and 150 tokens from the dungeon of their choice.

*Dungeon tokens given in the daily bonus chest awarded the first time each dungeon path is completed have been increased from 40 to 80 tokens.

*All Aetherblade weapons now drop much more frequently from the chest that is awarded after defeating the Clockheart boss at the end of the Aetherblade path of the Twilight Arbor explorable-mode dungeon. "

After sending a ticket to the GMs, the better answer i got from them was to try posting on the forums so that way the developers could see what’s going on and look into it, because they can’t add explorable mode for my account / fix that, so here I am.

Regards.

@SkyShroud

I understand what you said. But all that does not change the fact that i pad for the game twice. My girlfriend paid for it twice also and we play casualy. But the fact we bought the game gives us the same rights that all other players that payed for it twice.

So we should be able to in DUO achieve what we were waiting for when we read the news about the Guild Halls, without having to pay for anyone to do that for us (the so named mercenaries), because we ALREADY PAID for it with real money (buy buying the game and the expansion).

Casual gamers would not afford mercenaries for it and people like me and my girlfriend like to do stuff ourselves, like to explore and now we see ourselves with the “Anet” retrictions wall which can’t be broken and it’s so well sustained by the “Large guilds” because it does not affect them at all.

The game is for everyone, so everyone who paid for it have the same right. No one should be affected that hard for being solo / duo guilding with partner or a friend.

How do you think Large guilds would be complaning about anything that messed with them? On the same people like me are. We just paid for a product we dont have. Simple as that.

No. It’s not. Simple reason? Scribe craft. That is reason enough a solo player want to have his Guild Hall.

@SkyShroud: Let’s see this way.

Which incentive new players will have to create a new guild with all those “obstacles” to level up a guild? You can’t get anything to give your guildies buffs like it happened before HoT. Which incentive new players will have to play the game and achive “the dream” to have their personal achivements in game with all those lockouts the new guild system imposes?

I was already part of a guild in other MMOs. I HATED IT and since then I PLAY SOLO. When I started to play Guild Wars 2 and it gave me the mobility to play solo, have my guild for my self and my friends – at this moment my guild sits on me and my girlfriend: i expected some friends to follow me, but none of them came to play GW2 – (instead of having to earn / make random people trust on me like it goes on all others MMOs) and it was taken from me with no previous annoucement (note: AT NO TIME ANet INFORMED THAT THOSE GUILD MODIFICATIONS WOULD MAKE THE GUILD STUFF HARD FOR SOLO PLAYERS / SMALL GUIDS A LOCKOUT – they made it clear all the time that those modifications were to give the small guilds the chance for them to earn their respect amont Tyria. We knew the changes: the removal of some features, the addons. We never had any details on how it would affect the guild leveling this extremely until HoT was up).

Those lockouts, impediments, removes the joyfull players like me (and players with small guilds) in keep playing the game – something we paid for (on my case) TWICE. Those lockouts remove the expectations of new players to achive something bigger, when all those impediments are set suddenly, from one day to another.

Want to set that sort of changes? OK, but do it on stages, with detailed information on how they will change the gameplay and which consquences it would bring.

I can give an example to games that follow this “course of action”. Aion is dead now for the simple reason they made lots of abrupt changes in a short time with no detailded information on it. Players disliked those changes. Players left the game. Game is dead. Right now, only the old players which are there from the begin remain playing Aion, but barely active.

I really dont wanna this to be the future of GW2.

The game new features are rigths for everyeone (at least everyone who paid for the the expac to have access to them).

Everyone has rights to get buffs from guild banners, everyone has rights to chose what they wanna do and how they wanna do – lets remember the game GAVE US THIS CHOICE ONCE BEFORE HoT (and ANet is removing it suddenly) – instead of being forced to do whatever we dont want to and lose the joyfull in playing the game.

I don’t care to what other people say or think. This is my opinion.

In a simple matter of definition of the game, when you allow a single player to make a guild, HE IS THE GUILD HIMSELF and so he has the rights to enjoy all the contents, to use all the guild system has to offer. The dictionary definition of a guild does not apply here, a game that allows you to make one and / or allows you to rise it alone. A guild here can be ONE, TWO, 200 members. It does not matter. They all are guilds (of different sizes). They all have the same rights – buffs, earn / give guild experience, being able to complete guild missions, being able to have their guild hall, being able to leanr the scribber craft, are a few i can enumerate.

Before HoT, we could rise a guild alone. Did it take time, yeah it did, but it was possible. Now this possibility was simply taken from us and as eviltwink said:

Writing in caps for those who can’t seem to get the point, here it is:
THERE IS NOTHING NEW ABOUT THIS CONTENT, ITS JUST REMOVED FOR >3 PERSON GUILDS…..

In other words: if one player is required to create a guild (and can rise that alone), one player should be enough to do guild missions and some basic feautores should really be less expensive / unlocked out. (this is my personal opinion again).

Neilos, solo players / small guilds ALSO have the rights to enjoy Guild Halls. It’s part of the game, not part of a “large guild” only.

We assume that even a solo player IS A GUILD (of himself), once this solo player can make a guild for his own. Remember: there is no retrictions to create any guilds.

That is the point.

(…) when I formed my Guild years ago, there was 0 indication a minimum group of players would be mandatory(…). How, play tell, did I “know” what this expansion would bring?

In complement of what you said, Teofa: No one knew about all those lockouts / obstacles for small guilds / solo players.

As i mentioned on my post, ANet said that the guild implements would be accessible even to small guilds, so they could earn their respect in game. Where is the respect those guilds will have when they are lockedout / unable to access some stuff or even force a full PvE guild to do PvP and full PvP guilds to do PvE? I see none. DO YOU?

I do know when I bought the Game we were assured we could play Solo and were encouraged to.

Proof of that: we were encouraged to the point where ALL the main arc (green quests / personal history) is done solo and some professions can even solo champions easily.

The old system catered to a wide range. In the old system, there were upgrades, awards, missions already tied to group activity. A 1-2 member guild could do only a certain amount of upgrading. How was this so heinous? Banners, buffs, siege. Things that were shared with the “community”. In the old system I never saw anyone asking for a solo guild being able to do the group missions. I certainly did not ask for that.

So now, I don’t have what I DID have.. earned honestly, by the rules and restrictions of the core game, and it is gated behind a pay wall. I would not approve of anything earned being taken from anyone and put behind a pay wall. To my surprise, a lot of you think that is just peachy, so peachy that you feel fine about namecalling and armchair lecturing those it happened to.

I’m so sorry that my small, community geared upgrades ruined so much of your game that some of you feel the need to be so vindictive and supportive of features being taken away. It cements my opinion that a significant part of this so called “community” is one of the worst I have seen in 14 years of MMO gaming.

For the rest, all of the above.

Schappler.1082

The main point is: we play a game for fun. We should not be enforced to do what we dont want to get / have access to anything.

When ANet set tons of lockouts for small guids / solo players on this matter, they are removing the enjoyment and fun those group of players have.

The game is for fun, not a job. Once a PVEr player are enforced to PvP or WvW to get something from the game, it’s turns out to that person a " job" (an obligation of HAVE TO). The same goes when a PvPr (in a opposite analogy) is enforced to do PvE.

Where is the fun and enjoyment the game had offered to all players before HoT when they enforce players to do something or lock them up with some insane lockouts.

Solo players / small guilds ALSO have the rights to enjoy Guild Halls. It’s part of the game, not part of a “large guild” only.

I remind perfectly that Anet mentioned that the Guild Halls would be something to give even small guilds some respect around the ingame world. Where is the respect to the small guilds when they can’ t get it?

It also means that small guilds with pve oriented ppl and with no guild hall wont be able to unlock the missions for a while. That’s awful.

There should be another npc merchant with this unlock elsewhere for small guilds that still dont have guild halls and want to get theyr favors for it, based on the pve missions, if the guild is PVE oriented, rather than wait for the missions reset…

That is completely no sense to create this obstacle for PVE oriented guilds on the launch day / week.
