I agree, losing the current functionality of this trait would make it simply not worth taking.
Agreed that some of the steal skills are really kitten awful, worst of the lot is the Engineer’s.
Throw Gunk isn’t all that bad, you can leap through it for some chaos armor.

Uh, what skill would that be? If you’re talking about Signet of Illusions it resets our shatters. Although I think you’re on to something here.
How about we request for that signets active to be changed to resetting phantasm skills on one weapon and increasing the cooldown a bit?

I don’t see the issue with spending 5 seconds wasting a 35s CD and a CD that would likely be higher on some easily dodged/interrupted (5 seconds of cast time) burst.
I only think it’s an annoying skill because it’s a combo attack right off the bat, it creates the field and immediately launches a physical projectile. I’m not a fan of skills being able to combo off themselves.

I like traps how they are, they don’t require me to go out of my way to get hit in the face to activate and can be used in many ways instead of just one.

The hammer needs to be removed, then the map would be playable. I can’t even attempt to keep the other team off the hammer, because it’s always a Mesmer or Engineer on it.
