Weirdest lag ive ever seen

I was in Hoelbrak tonight and could not do any skills or port out of the map , but continued for over 20 minutes talking to guild in chat and running around the map. Could not talk in map chat for that zone either. Finally after about 20 minutes of all my skills flashing on my hot bar it disconnected me and when i reconnected everything was fine. During this time I logged into multiple websites alt tab out to check to make sure it wasnt my connection and they all loaded fine. Its been like this for the last couple of days , is this a issue with other players similiar to this? The other thread thats merged seems outdated and doesnt seem to have people with my issue of skills not working but being able to talk in guild chat and tells.

Ive loved dungeons in the secret world rift wow even warhammer online and my all time favorite DAOC. I absolutely hate dungeons in guild wars 2 , the devs here seem to think fun is having to dodge around an entire room or get 2 or 3 shotted even in full exotics and max level. Dungeons are made to be challenging yes , puzzles are challenging , mechanics are challeging , GW2 dungeons are not challenging , they are nightmares of dodging around a room and not dying while you dish out as much damage as you can.

I ran the new AC explorable after the patch and do not even want to touch it again . Troll was just annoying and took forever to kill. The stupid grave slinks kept getting to the npc like 10 times before our pug finally got them downed before the npc . This is just not fun at all mechanics , and pugs suffer for it making dungeon runs a chore and longer to complete.

Orb buff is ruining WvW, please change it.

orbs are just like relics in DAOC and in DAOC you had no switching who you got to fight . Relics worked fine in DAOC , and they will work fine here to , just once the problems calm down like all the zerging. You gotta keep in mind this is a watered down version of DAOC frontiers , this isnt going to last for a long time people are already getting bored of the zerging. Give it another month tops and i bet you see a huge difference

haha yeah seriously if they had like about 5 or 6k people in DAOC reactivate their accounts EA would throw money back in that game im willing to bet , at least there the pvp is decent and not like this half rate attempt .

most people on tarnished coast ive run around with are losing interest in world vs world. It may not be that for others as i can only speak for whom i have had contact with. If ANET thinks that pushing a couple of doylak camps in a circle jerk or watching two of the three teams push to the west of the map to wipe because of siege then the other side push back to the east and wipe because of siege their vision of what DAOC realm vs realm was is far distorted. There is ZERO place for small man teams , even the kitten poster bragging about star dragonbrand zerge guilds above taking a hill or breaking siege against a bunch of bads zerging players doesn’t make this anything near DAOC quality. You just have devs that have no soul period here , there is no small man teams ,making a different in the scheme of things , just ganking a few stragglers or holding a tower for a few til the zerges show up. Honestly world vs world for anyone with skill from DAOC is starting to see this is a complete snoozefest full of a few “leaders” whom dont want to pvp just zerge everything to death. Ive already been on record as saying i give world vs world another two or three months and if things dont change , it will be the least played feature in the game because of kitteny devs who think they know it all and refuse to listen to the playerbase about fixing it.

please dragonbrand dont even talk smack here you guys seriously are bads and primeval has killed so many of you scrubs over the last few days out there its not even funny. You guys just exploit the zerges numbers to get points , in skirmish you are terrible . Instead of talking crap put a premade together and run around , not a zerge and come do some skirmish instead of laughing about zerging. Ive watched so many times our guild wipe half your zerges of bad players , shadow legion has done the same. So all that laughing about rage from a few players here who want to pve in wvw just shows you how pathetic you guys are camping a puzzle map with siege instead of doing pvp. To bad this isnt DAOC , I would love to say free arpees from bads on that server but its just free exp here =/ To bad ANET doesnt reward you for actually being good just zerging.

DAOC ruined their game with master levels from TOA not artifacts , infact most enjoyed the artifacts in game and leveling them up. Even with master levels a realm rank 7 or 8 vs a realm rank 2 or 3 with master levels still lost every fight by being level 51 and having stronger stats. People like to blame TOA for being the demise of DAOC when just because “YOU” left daoc doesn’t mean everyone else did for the same reasons. While TOA was a disappointment to most for the grinding of master levels and opening up artifact encounters , it still was not the death of the game by far as you are making it out to be , the game continued to gain players and release other expansions , so please enough of the drama and false information.

thats what we want to see is a realm point system , balanced or not honestly i could care less at this point i just would like to see some sort of progression other then 80 exp a kill and some karma for taking some spot on the map. I could care less myself about gear , i just want something in game that makes world vs world unique and stands out from if im just doing pvp or pve etc. What happens when you 5 man a dungeon at the end? do you not get a piece of gear? and whats the point of killing a boss in dungeons ? does group members not say hey that item sucks or is good? why should world vs world be any different without some form of progression to make it more competitive ?

player skill? are you serious? there is no player skill in world vs world . You run a premade and you have two options gank FOR the zerge and take camps or hit stragglers which is 2 to 3 at a time and get bored or you fight with the zerge using siege weapons which is not fun for anyone who enjoys pvp. Also what is wrong with progression? oh I see some people here just like to be able to play once a week and destroy people who been playing daily and want a little progression? Trust me majority of the serious pvpers here are going to leave world vs world as we were promised something similiar to DAOC and ended up with something similiar to 3 way pong. DAOC was about 8 man teams fighting each other , the zerges were for noobs who were just bads in pvp. DAOC didn’t offer gear , they offered a realm point system where players who dedicated themselves to pvp were rewarded for it. But people here complaining about gear and progression are really just the wow kids not us, we actually want to work hard to goal towards something , not just come out here and think we are entitled to the same thing as someone who wants to world vs world once a week or month.

all they need to do is one new map or put each individual borderland on a separate queue and this would fix the issue with server times. Make a new open world pvp style map with less objectives would be an awesome fix to , then everyone can be happy.

some servers shouldn’t even be matched up and they still need time to figure out some of this. We have had matches with servers like darkhaven where we stomp them , then 3 days later we get another matchup with them and they beat us badly. Sea of Sorrows shouldn’t even be playing with american servers for example and I think they need to continue to the data for day to day until they have population stability as its no where near stable yet across shards. Also some servers have hours of que times before people can get in so i would not in any way like to see 2 week rotations yet.

yes please do and take sea of sorrows with you , its a pain to work hard in wvw and have to log to go to sleep for work the next day and wake up to having every single thing taken on your map by sea of sorrows and oceanic world vs world players. You cannot blame them , they are playing during their prime time , 14 hours ahead of ours…… please give them their own servers , whoever thought world vs world would be okay with oceanic servers mixed with American should seriously learn something about timezones and geography…..

dosingen you are far from alone here , there are tons of people since beta 1 screaming at Anet about adding in progression in world vs world, mike Ferguson seems to be against it. With the maps being tiny compared to DAOC , it wont be long before these guys start getting bored to , they just havent reached their time yet and the newness is still going strong. You can only take the same keep in red green or blue or tower , or run the same exactly same 3 doylak camps before you get to the point , you are like whats the point i get better money and exp in pve . If people think running in a zerge takes skill or listening to some egotistical argumentative guy in /map chat who barks orders fun , enjoy as it never changes and is stale already. Also you have servers that shouldnt even be playing with other american servers like sea of sorrows who are oceanic and take every single thing on most servers while the rest sleep then come on here bragging about it. They need a realm point system for any longevity or some sort of progression , as it is right now i can speak for 50 of us at least in guild who are getting bored to tears already with ganking in the exact same spot daily in a giant circle .

there are tons of DAOC players on more the just jade quarry , i play on tarnished coast and there is about 20 in our guild alone with more from other guilds we knew on the server. We even know some that rolled on isle of janthir. Also rimax this game is nothing like daoc other then keep takes and zerges. No meaningful rivalry that made daoc what it is , no meaningful relics to take orbs of power are lack luster and you can 5 man one , and all the maps are so small you cannot run anything other then a zerge. Also the largest thing , you cannot gain realm ranks and realm points , just karma and exp which is less of a reward then pve. IF you love zerging mindlessly , you will def love this world vs world here or if you love siege weapons , but saying this game is anything like DAOC is just disrespect to DAOC seriously.

some of these guys are trolling i pvp regularly on mine and can tell you they are super fragile , all glass and no cannon . i spend more time in my water spec in full defensive and healing because our dps is so sub par compared to my warrior or ranger. The downed state is the least of our problems trust me. Ive tried just about every build out there and ended up just using mine as total support even at level 60 as the class just sucks period unless you are safely behind a keep wall and aoeing for 1500 damage ……

guild armor is cosmetic armor that you will need transmutation stones to use. complete a map you get 3 1-79 ones for zone completion and you can buy the 80 ones in the cash shop , not sure if those drop or not.

my only advice i can give you is trait your condition removal as we have the lowest health of all the classes and are all glass no cannon at all. Most have parked their elementalists until Anet fixes them or tells us if they are balanced or not. Best thing you can kinda do is what you are doing , stack vitality and toughness and rest in power , use your free 5 crits every 45 seconds and just try and hang in there. The class just gets downed a lot and anyone in here that plays one to 80 can tell you , you are going to die a lot here or at least be downed in their current state. Condition removal and maybe mist or blink might help , but dungeons are a real challenge for our class to survive spike damage.

no elementalist in this game is dealing 7k a shot crits are only doing like 4k with full prec and power builds.

hey yoshi if you are going to run with that theory then why is elementalist staff and long range sub par to any other class then? Either their kiting range needs to have higher dps or they deserve a bonus to armor up close besides that cheesy 33% reduction from 10 pts in toughness. This class needs love , the mesmer got a ton of it last patch before launch . The only good pvp a ele can do right now is tower defense and utility support for the rest of your team in pvp and wvw.

my Ele is now level 48 and i have run plenty of Spvp in different builds and World vs World groups, Ive used every weapon setup and attunement and my normal rotation uses 3-4 attunements. From the many matches in pvp my guild runs I can tell you these guys acting like the class is great are so far full of it its not even funny. This class DPS except in melee range dual dagger is subpar to just about all other classes currently in game. The mesmer for example does more damage then a ele in a full vitality/Toughness tank build with a greatsword and has more health and more defense. There is no such thing as glass cannon in this game with the ele , you deal way to low of damage and your utility is more a chore to use then any other class. This class is only for shooting fireballs down and healing debuffs from towers in WvW, thats about it. Show me statistical numbers where we can out damage any other class please and weapons? I know you cant here already as Ive been playing this class since beta 1.
