If a necro gets ganked by 2 players, what escape routes is possible? or is there just none?

Ahh, so what are the main use of grenades?

Assuming Condi build with:

(1) Pistol Shield
(2) Nades
(3) Elixir Gun
(4) Bomb

What should my main weapon that I use, for example, to auto-attack? And is bomb preferred over wrench?

How does one win this match-up? Assuming necro condi?

Relatively new player, but gauging the forums to understand relative positions of classes.

Can i get a consensus on :

1) How strong is thief in this meta ?

2) How strong is thief specifically vs conditionmancer?

This type of damage does not happen unless there’s a HUGE discrepancy in gear. I don’t understand why people just don’t try out thief and see if these big numbers really exist against people who are well-geared.

It’s WvW… not PvE… you have to actually fight with some intelligence… not stand there spamming your keyboard

There is an anti-stealth this and that….
So where is my anti-armor trap?

Its not like stealth is OP…unless of course you run into people using “enhanced” stealth….with an external enhancing program.

I’d rather have built in evasion than stealth.

Youre argument isn’t based very well. You say “wheres my anti armor trap?” yet there are such things in the game. Vulnerability is anti-armor. You talk about magic suppression, yet the thief uses magic himself and the most obvious magic suppresion are interrupts which arent even limited to magic. The counters to other classes are there, but you choose not to see them. You understand that sick’ em is the ONLY hard counter to stealth, as opposed to everything else which has more than 1 hard counter.

YOU need to understand what a hard counter is. You can use vulnerability on ANY class, and interrupts on ANY class. If I use vulnerability on a lower armor class, it’s still effective.

… If I use reveal on a warrior… what’s that going to do? That’s a hard counter.

I haven’t heard anyone complaining about HS in awhile? Why? Because spamming it doesn’t work against anyone except the worst of players anymore.

Perhaps the Op was distracted by something or someone in the moment?
Perhaps the OP was caught of guard in the moment?
Perhaps the Op wasn’t prepared in the moment?
Or Perhaps the OP underistimated his/her opponent in the moment?

Do you mainly play thief against dummies? …. I’m sure you haven’t 1v1’d any decent player (warrior, ranger), you’d understand the full extent of what position the thief is in. Heartseeker spam gets you nowhere. It only works against people who don’t know to dodge etc.

What is this business of “a top thief”? This is quite kitteny to come into a forum and post “a top thief” as if everyone knows anything about this shadow. The ones that advertise themselves get torn down the fastest.

I’ve played GW2 PvP, and I don’t know him.

Its prob cause u play Spvp but you dont play it competitive like in a team that only do that or on the leagues thatteams played to get into PAX and stuff like that, if you even watched the games from the top teams going for PAX you would know him and know that hes awesome

Well, first the assumption was that “everyone who PvPs has heard of this person,” and then when I said that wasn’t the case, it became “well, then you’ve never played anything besides sPvP.” And now that I’ve refuted that claim, it becomes “well, then you’ve never played tPvP competitively.” Next, will I have to say that I’m a dev for my opinion to be valid?

I just copied and pasted what I wrote in your thread “Interview with a top guardian (Azshene)” Which was renamed from “Interview with GW2 top guardian (Azshene)” or so because you made the mistake of using “Best” in your post.

You’re just being extremely picky. It clearly says “a top” thief; meaning that he is one of the top thieves. Why is he a top thief? Obviously he has a good competitive experience. Learn the difference between “a” and “THE” top thief before you make such an ignorant post..

I don’t get imagi’s argument….. just because YOU don’t know him means he’s not famous..? I can probably name a foreign sports star or singer and you wouldn’t know anything. Does that make this person any less famous?

Arenanet is a BUSINESS….. NOT YOUR mom. They make these games to make MONEY.

Normally, if a business line doesn’t profit, it will be phased out. Would they rather please 80% of the paying population in PVE or the whining 20% in PVP.
