If you are looking for fighting roaming groups. Find out what server is going to be paired with NSP for long time. NSP has the top-tier roamers during NA time zone.

I believe they are NA time guild. Last night, I ran with them for like 10 min against VR from Mag and later I left because I couldn’t find way to join their TS. Very impressive group.

I highly recommend [BAEST] for NA time WvWers who like to be in a hardcore zerg-breaking group. They are skilled, disciplined, and at the same time funny. I am a home BL defender so I don’t have much experience with them or intention to join them. but, several times I ran with Alchemist in [BAEST], it was so good and fun at the same time. It was so hilariously fun even when we are losing made me laughing.

I played with him couple times. I felt they aim for zerg-breaker. One time with like 10 ppl and 1 omega they broke 30+ enemy zerg. It was one of the most impressive experience in WvW for me. If you are looking for high-standard zerg-breaking group and mainly play for SEA time, [Olaf] is the one to join.

That’s because this matchup will decide who is joining Gold instead of top of Silver. It is like watching tournament sports game.
btw, personally I was disappointed by the performance of Sos. As for two of little guys we SBI and you need to push SoR together. In that way, all three of us can have better fun. I hope Sos is not tanking the match for easy Silver league.

Compared to our last matchup tread, they are really quite and behaving well. This week, I didn’t need to avoid the forum to prevent me from raging. I think it is a good change. In return, I think we also need to try our best to stay chill. That’s it.

On the subject of the Borderlands, I’ve moved on from poking fun, so I’ll make a serious post. And this is really me speaking from being a commander for awhile. There are a few hard and fast rules that every server regardless of Tiers needs to be cognizent of as a whole, to include the mindless drones of the zerg. It should be something universally understood and accepted by all.

Your Borderlands Keeps are more important then Stonemist.

Losing a Borderland Keep is bad. They are expensive to reupgrade and you have to waste time getting it back rather then attacking enemy targets. You also lose waypoints critical for your borderlands guards to use to reflip camps back and intercept raiding parties.

Letting the enemy get a waypoint in a borderlands keep is a disaster. Now they can see when you attack it, regardless of what map they are on, and bring the fury down on you if you touch it.

Letting the enemy fully upgrade the keep and fill it with supplies is a total FUBAR. It means you stand a VERY good chance of losing for the week. Because now the enemy has a persistent presence in your borderlands, flipping camps and towers, and launching offensives against your all important Garrison.

Note that the moment BP Waypointed Shadaran Hills the points gap between us and SBI began to close rapidly. We have now overtaken you.

The moment we took your Hills you should have gone balls deep to get us out of it. The moment we waypointed Hills your server should have devoted all its energies to taking it back, even spending all day if necessary. Simply cutting the supply lines constantly and continuously attacking the keep will eventually wear it down, drain it of supplies and allow you to get inside.

You cannot take a defended Hills without significant effort, and I can promise you it will always be defended. We know how important it is, and your odds of a ninja cap (where we don’t notice something is up until after you are on your way to the Lords Room) is essentially zero.

It is not condusive to karma farming, and its certainly not fun. Mindless zergers and fair weather players hate doing it, and honestly, its why you should not have let us get it to that point in the first place.

Hey.. I thought you were not going to play WvW this week. Kind of disappointing.

PS: For the Eternal Battleground, we all know the importance of BL keeps. Remember SBI is a Pug server and SBI pugs don’t visit this forum.

The thing that is most depressing about this match up is the fact that we got NSP. Not to knock NSP, they are doing pretty good. But thanks to the way the ranking system works, all they have to do is keep breathing and they will just drain us of all those hard faught points. I really wanted to face Yaks or Crystal Desert. Hell, I wanted that rematch with Ehmry Bay. instead we got NSP and our points are crashing again. It really does remove my motivation to want to play WvW this week, by a very large margin.

My little suggestion to you BP.

If you keep insisting, you will get TC instead of EBay. Ya, as you are looking forward, server rating will go higher and higher at the expense of your frustration. You better wanna have a “Good, Competitive match-up” rather than having higher rating.

btw, I like match-up with BP. We have similar coverage and numbers although you as a server more skilled (I mean coordinated server skill, not meaning group combat skill). You guys make it really competitive. It is totally different from when SBI was facing CD or Sos-These servers have good ocenic presence hence, lots of Pvdooring—no fun.

From last 3 match-ups, actually I started to supecting Anet reduced the size of modifier for random match-up. As you see, now NA servers are divided into two big groups (12 + 12) with very large difference in server ratings.

I think it will be very unlikely that any of bottom group servers (including SBI, BP) will be matched up with upper group servers in near future.
So enjoy your match-up and don’t care too much about your server rating.

and I see an SBI bay reset at primetime as well as a rather one sided fight in BP Hills /shrug both SBI bay and BP garry have been flipped back so uhmmm yeah.. how about them Dodgers?

Thing was though that your Gari was a T3 keep we took during prime time. Your taking of bay was paper. I wonder what one required more strategy. You practically walked into our bay because it was paper as we had to use strategy to take gari. Oh and you calling back your entire zerg on EB to take a empty Gari I wonder why you did that. Not to mention it took you 1-3 ticks to do it.

Wasn’t there to see Garry go down, we started knockin on bay and decided, what the heck lets go for it. Kudos to you all for taking Garry, you caught BP flat footed.

I am still trying to find out what the point of the screenshot of 10 dead BP and 25+ SBI was.

I apologize for the confusing screen shot my guild mate posted. That might be from reset night on BP BL (NA prime). We had a guild event on the map and repeatedly wiped you guys.. lots lots of you over and over until you guys moved out of your own BL before we took your Hills and Bay. So I think he/she was just trying to tell you guys that BP might need to get trained better at open field battles.

Some good fights last night! Some of them seemed to rage on forever, which made for really good fun. And was it just me, or did SBI rally the troops this week? I swear you guys had a much larger presence last night than I saw from you last week. Keep up the good fights!

I believe that was Kiwi group running reset night WvW event. Kiwi commander Sojoo was leading the troops. We had good amount of open field fight with your zerg and flipped your Hills twice and your Bay once. It was fun fight-I think we pushed you guys well and that brought more SBIer’s join our force. I hope you guys also enjoyed many looting bags.

I hope both AR and BP enjoyed our stay on SE tower of AR BL last night. That was a sicking fun of long fight. You guys may thank to our renowned Kiwi commander Rice. It was getting too last for us so we had to leave the map. I hope we Kiwi meet you guys next time with better tactics for breaking into stairs. Thanks.

To SBI folks – Did one of you report that last week when we were paired w/ IoJ you queued all 4 maps on reset? I ask because I tend to see 2 different SBIs. I see the hordes version where you have numbers that we can’t comprehend, and I see the other version where it seems WvW isn’t really important to you and you just don’t show up. Mind you I’m talking NA prime time, so I’m not comparing NA prime to EU prime. Just curious because AR can, at best, queue ONE map, and even that is quite rare, yet I see posts from SBI folks about not having the numbers. Very bi-polar.

And BP…..wow. Somehow over the last 2 weeks you guys copped a major attitude. I don’t ever remember reading so much infantile smack talk from you guys when we were both being steamrolled by Ebay. QQ’ing, yeah, but now? Yikes. Last week’s match w/ IoJ was much more enjoyable. :-(

I was out of town last week. So I couldn’t attest the number last week when SBI was facing IOJ and AR. But as all of SBIers say, SBI is basically a PvE server. The numbers you observed most likely for map completion.
As a member of Kiwi-the one of the most recognized guild in SBI WvW, I can say this… only 10-15% of our guild members do WvW. Others barely show up in WvW. We even have guildies refuse to WvW because they don’t like killing players or getting killed. Ya, Kiwi is mostly PvE guild even cannot say PvX guild, still be recognized as one of the main force in WvW.
If you are really curious about numbers we have, You are welcome to join SBI. We really need dedicated WvW players.. Thank you.

Good fights tonight SBI. You put a lot of pressure on BPBL.

Ive seen alot of Reds dominate thier match ups since the new rating system. This match so far, it is clear who the leaders are.

SBI will be taking the fight to the leaders.

It seems rather weird if you ask me. SBI had so much pressure on us last night in BPBL. Seems like SBI wants to give AR the upper hand since all you guys want to do is focus on us for the moment. The forces you guys had could of been spread out and taken both of us.
But, on the other side. If what your saying is right. Suppose AR passes us…which makes them the new leader. SBI will go pressure them and give BP the upper hand? If not…then what you just said will be invalid. And SBI just wants to target BP not the actual point leaders.

I see what you mean. As of a WvW player, I personally do not have same oppinion as Yulo-our servers God-farther. I want good open field fight and the last night, I found BP you guys are much more responsive than AR for coming out for fight.
I turned all the towers and supply camps on AR BL last night only to find a few of AR were willing to have open field fight-not fun… BP you guys were much more willing to. I only needed to borrow one treb blueprint from Yulo to make you guys hit us on southern island

If it is going to be like this for the week, then whoever takes the lead, I will visit BP BL everynight

We SBI had a great fun last night on BP BL.
It was a huge scale, epic fights on southern island. I estimate we had more than 100 from both side fighting like real “WAR”. As a one of guild commander of Kiwi, I really enjoyed the fight (= great number of loot bags to both sides). I hope that next time SBI choose to fight on you map, you guys come out to fight so we don’t need to waste treb blueprints to force you coming out of tower.

Where did that massive SBI kiwi zerg come from? Thankfully SBI has always gone to bed by 10pm PST (even in Tier 1 they didn’t break discipline)

I also thought it was very sweet how the SBI and CD folks on the SBI map looked out for each other. I know it’s not in either of your best interest to have us on the map, but CD was really good about stalking our folks as we tried to attack SBI and the way SBI swooped in to save Redbriar was a true tale of comradeship.

In all seriousness though, you guys were tough as nails tonight and every Friday gets a little more hairier.

Kiwi is a Korean """"PvE guild"""""". We have a one or two WvW days everyweek. Somehow, our commanders decided to play with Sos this time. Maybe he felt dealing with CD was too boring. We Kiwi and SBI pugs had sweet time with you Sos guys. We noticed a lot of u guys had arrows pointing up on your head. I hope next time, when you guys hit 80 we can have a fair play.

While this is true it would be wrong for Kiwi not to get the credit they deserve. Obviously no one guild is doing everything, just right now Kiwi, SBI, KT are some of our larger guilds having a big impact. I can sit here and name 30 guilds with 10 players or less contributing, not including the militia.

I am from KiWi. We are a mere community guild. We do not have officers. So this is not official response from KiWi. First of all, thank you for your appreciation Bannok. Ever since the exodus of WvWers from SBI. KiWi tried our best to contribute SBI community. Personally I really appreciate those from “small sized guild” especially since KiWi only had a few active WvWers couple of month ago. We even had hard time to take empty supply camps without knowing there is a special 5 min “buff” on supervisors. Haha. We have learnt many things and still learning new things from experienced SBIers like all of you. Anyway, I am glad it looked like we got into a tier with good matching up. Cheers!
