man i need help, i want to be good. How do I play dagger pistol?

Okay, so I went on metabattle to figure out a guideline on how to play. All I found were dagger/pistol build, and sword/pistol build.

The dagger/pistol build is rated gold, and I’ve been trying to use it. I don’t understand where my damage comes from. I try to use bound pistol 5 to stealth and then backstab, but it doesn’t seem like a lot of damage is really done. Could anyone explain to me in detail how I’m supposed to be doing a ton of damage with dagger/pistol?

The sword/pistol build is pretty easy. Do damage with pistol whip basically. I primarily need help with dagger/pistol. Help friends.

Ok guys, hear me out.

Torch iMage does burning. Sword does sword damage as usual. 2 illusionary mages stacking burns and 1 warlock doing damage per condition with chaos storm on enemy.

Am I stupid or is there a chance?

The ranger can use a great sword and axes. I like Greatswords and axes.
