Guild Wars Movie

A Guild Wars Movie? Great idea! Let’s do it like Alfred Hitchkitten in ‘Psycho’. At the end of the 1st act the lead is killed by someone totally unexpectet. We could call him Trahearn. At the end he could die by a piece of armor clipping through his neck …

Edit: Hitchkitten? WTF?

What's wrong and how it can be fixed

I have to agree with OP, too. GW2 was tons of fun until November 2012. I hit 80 one ore two weeks before and got my exotic gear. I enjoyed Halloween a lot and then Anet introduced ascended gear. After that the game went downhill for me with every patch: DR, RNG, the so called “living” story … I think that attracted a lot of other players, but the fanbase that believed in the manifesto was kind of betrayed.

Except for some WvW I quit GW2 around February or March and played TSW since then. Yes, I wanted GW2 to be great but after November 2012 it just wasn’t the game I played since then.

What feature do you miss from your old MMO

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Siebenstein.1376

I like GW2, and how they tried something different, but for me, the one feature I sometimes miss, (especially for the harder content), is trinity. Some times I wish we just had a true tank + healer option. I played a healer before and it was always my favorite class. Oh how the old school days seem so bright

(Played MMOs for 14 years)

I could live without the trinity, if Arenanet had thought of something else to structure the fights and keep them interesting (except from tons of HP, oneshot-mechanics and dodge & kite). Also as a immpassioned healer I miss the possibility to support my party. In fights I often feel like everyone is playing for themselves and I miss the feeling to play as a team. And I miss the part where the party has to think of a strategy to defeat a boss. In GW2 most of the strategies seem to be about how to skip trashmobs and how to annul game mechanics.

Too bad Arenanet just replaced the holy trinity with the holy unity: They dumped healers and tanks but kept the DDs in the game.

Would be great. I spend so much time with the fur-design on my Charr and now I hardly ever see it. Same with the tatoos of my Norn.

Are wooden chests still dropping in PvE?

They seem to drop in a higher rate on low level toons. I started an alt a few days ago and I’ve seen more dyes, chests etc. than with my level 80 toons for weeks.

Strange, didn’t know they removed the blogs. Maybe to prevent people from digging up old ‘promises’ they made in some of them (such as account-wide dyes).

I thought the same even befor I was half finished with the starting post.

why do people forget about dungeons?

I don’t run dungeons in this game because I find dem extremly boring (annoying trash-mobs and uninspired boss-mechanics).

Why can't we use costumes in combat?

Arenanet wants to sell transmutation stones. If you just could swap to town clohtes, you would’nt need them. I think that’s why you can’t wear town clothes in combat.

How much of your money does Anet have?

Some, but after the introduced Ascended Gear I stopped spending money on the gem store.

Same here. Spend the saved money on another MMORPG with monthly subscription – never had any regrets so far.

+ 1 for this.

Look at this picture. I can’t even see my Char (it’s a big, orange Charr right in the center of the screen) because of all the effects! And this was an event with ~10 players!

Thoughts on Ascended Gear? [Merged threads]

I’m a bit old to rage-quit, but I haven’t played since they announced the introduction of ascended gear. And that’s not because I wanted to boycott them or anything, it’s just I don’t have the same drive to log on and play.

This fiasco has demotivated me completely. Instead of being excited for the new content (which I was before I read of the brand new threadmill) I’m looking at the GW2 icon but I don’t really feel any will to double-click it.

Same here. I took 2 days off (for some private reasons, nothing to do with the game or the patch), and I just can’t get myself to log on and play. Instead I started cleaning my apartment. Being more motivatet to clean than to play – never thought that would happen.

Yeah, the dedicated ones.

I guess I have to change my rating for GW2 on amazon …

Thoughts on Ascended Gear? [Merged threads]

I still can’t see why the new items have to be better than exotic gear. The agony-mechanic would still work if the infusion-set would be equal to exotic gear. The people who play the fractal-dungeon would have their “progress” when they play the dungeon but won’t have an advantage over the players who don’t want to play that dungeon. So why, why, why does infusion-gear has to be better than exotic gear?

Hope I could make myself clear, english ist not my native language …

8% is not significant.

Go to your boss and ask him for a 8 % salary increase. Then come back und write that again.
