Same problem here. Did it twice, first time crashed whilst attacking the first vine wall on the spiral, second time I got to go a bit higher but crashed whilst attacking a different vine wall

Just had the exact same problem. Killed Xera, got the chest, but not the achievement (nor the ability to buy the stuff Xera drops from Glenna). Really annoying

Cheers everyone for your replies (especially to the person who provided his arguments for why he is doing this – even though I disagree with his POV). Hopefully, ANet will do something about this in the near future.

I will admit to getting into sPvP for the achievements, but the current system has made things more accessible and fun for me. Having said that, I will not, willingly, do anything to ruin another player’s experience – even if that means not getting whatever achievements I’m after.

I also experienced the same behaviour from one of the necros yesterday. Sadly, I understand that this kind of behaviour is relatively common.

The problem is that if you chose to stay, as opposed to alt+f4, you cost the other members of the team a pip, and rob them of every chance they have of winning, even if it’s slim.

The problem is that there is no way to report this kind of behaviour. I appreciate the input, though, and my intention isn’t to “shame” or “attack” anyone (without cause), my post was merely meant to inform. Should the forum admins say anything, I will take the name off.

I ran across this behaviour a few times now, but just earlier whilst in sPvP, a guy joined the match and decided to afk at the beggining (after blatantly saying that the plan for the game was for us to lose). When prompted as to why he was doing this, he said it was his job to make the rest of the team lose pips, as we were … well, sticking with forum rules, his message was that were were not that good at PvP anyway.

The point is, I had to report this guy for verbal abuse (which he did, on map chat), without any option to flag him for AFKing (which he didn’t really, he was just fine to sit there and comment/verbally abuse us). It’s sad that the rest of the team has to suffer for someone who believes he is entitled to ruin the other players’ gaming experience. If anything, the lack of reporting option means that he is doing it just to spite people and ruin the game – which he admitted to, by saying that hundreds of other players have reported him for various reasons, to no effect.

I have to admit, I wasn’t into sPvP as much since just before the seasons started; the whole ranking system has made things more fun, in my perspective. However, people such as this shouldn’t “roam free” and just ruin other people’s fun.

After having a few weeks of normal activity, again I find that I’m either unable to enter the game, being stuck at login (or loading screens at best). The game seems fine for a while when I do log in, but trying to change instances/maps usually results in a DC. My IC seems to work just fine.

Would appreciate any help on the matter, haven’t been able to log in reliably (i.e. stay in game for more than 2 mins without a dc) since late Sat/early Sun!

Seems to be back with a vengeance. Haven’t been able to log in reliably since Sunday, when I kept getting kicked out and struggled to log in. I then downloaded the 64 bit client, which worked fine for about 10 minutes, but ever since it’s refused to let me in the game, giving me the above quoted error. The 32bit client is able to sometimes log in, but kicks me out during loading screens.

I have a similar problem, namely since the last patch but can’t say for sure as I’ve also updated my graphics card drivers. Previously, I was running at 60 fps on high graphics settings, now I’m down to 15-30 (30 at best and very rarely). The system I’m running is:
Windows 8.1 x64
16 GB Ram
2x AMD ATI HD8970M in Crossfire
Intel Core i7 4710M.

Tried updating via autodetect tool. Didn’t work. Then went via device manager -> check for updates, which seems to have changed the drivers. Didn’t work either. Uninstalled the drivers with AMD Catalyst, reinstalled the latest version. Still the same problem. Ran a full system scan with Norton 360, nothing pops up, problem still there. Ran Gw2 repair, again, nothing. I’m a bit lost currently, so any suggestions would be helpful!

EDIT: Just noticed a few minutes after posting this that the AMD Catalyst automatically switches power plans to maximize battery life (even for the plugged in option). After changing this to maximize performance, my frame rate is back to life (67 FPS). Should this change, I’ll make another post.
