Ranger traps are quite underwhelming now, we could make them a bit more viable through this new ammunition mechanic. Anet already said they want to add ammunition to existing skills. I think traps are perfect for it. Thoughts?

Now when we enter beastmode we see pet turn into a green ball and shadowstep to us. Maybe we could have second special key which would make us shadowstep to pet so we could make either our pet shadowstep to player or player shadowstep to pet. CD would be shared of course. That would make positioning of your pet important so you could engage if you are merging with melee pet (especially new cheetah) and disengage by merging with pet behind you.

What’s the cooldown on Lashtail Venom? If its not too long, it could really be attractive for additional CC.

As we all wait for our pets to be viable (outside HoT) I came up with a little idea that seems easy to implement for ArenaNet.
Let’s make "underwaterF2 " a “regular F2” for two pets Reef Drake and Lashtail Devourer.
Now the drake has this clunky skill that never hits but underwater skill is :
Sonic barrier
“Create a sonic barrier that reflects projectiles.”
Duration: 5s
Combo Field: Ethereal
Same thing with the Devourer, now he has rending barbs but underwater skill is: Lashtail Venom
“Your next two attacks stun your victims.”
Stun: 1s
Venom Duration: 60s
Just a thought.
What do you think about this:
- When you proc WH#4 you get some kind of protective buff (maybe stability or resistance) and a special effect on yourself (It could have some “% on hit” boon)
- When special effect ends and you have more than 50% of health you output some aoe soft cc and maybe bleeding ( it would use existing animation)
- When special effect ends and you have less than 50% of health the birds would come and give you stealth and maybe some condi cleanse or even stun break

The good bug is good you are right, warhorn #4 need some love ( WH #5 seems to be in a good place) but I think that with druid we can output enough support and the main reason I’m talking about it is that I think this is really easy to change. The runes #6 skill is already in game, no need to work with new one

Hello, fellow rangers!
The warhorn #4 is really weak skill now, so my idea here is simple. Lets make this skilll works just as the #6 effect from the Superior Runes of the Mad King. For those who don’t know these runes simply do warhorn #4 on three targets nearby without targeting anything and have 45 sec IC (we could lower it a bit).
1. This would do many hits and many hits = nice AF generation
2. More viable skills = more fun
3. Implementing seems to be easy

Well this would change CD for traits and sigils from 9s to 7.2s, nothing game-changing about it. I think this should be easy to implement.
The reason I’m talkin’ about it is that there are a lot of runes out there that have no place in game and little improvements like this could make them maybe a bit more viable and if we keep improving them maybe we will end up with more variety of builds.

So, rangers got three traits associated with weapon swap (WS)
Tail Wind – Gain swiftness when WS in combat.
Furious Grip – Gain fury when WS in combat.
Quick Draw – When WS, the next ranger weapon skill you use will recharge faster
and of course we can always equip some sigils to trigger even more effects
BUT
If we would like to lower the cooldown of WS by 20% with runes of warrior the CD of WS would be lower than ICD of traits and sigils so we would proc. effects only every second swap. So the runes are now quite useless.
So here is my idea: we could lower the ICD of traits and sigils or make the runes lower those CD too.
