A graphics software update didn’t help. The sound also vanishes before crashing.
Hi all
Some of these problems were an issue a year or two ago with no clear fixes. As stated my game just freezes or crashes. I also sometimes get graphics issues where only the borders of skills and option menus are visible and everything else not.
These problems only started during the last week. There were none during the first three at all whatsoever? I have already deleted the data file and did a repair install.
It’ late already I know, but the precision from a Knight build is not a total waste if you wanna play boon orientated and use contact sigils.
On either knight or cleric you will need a lot of azurite trinkets and jewels
just to have a decent health pool. So if it’s exotic gear we are talking about, rather not.
Have you tried gw2skills.com yet? They have a build planmer which you can use to play around with ideas.
I enjoy using the shield when I solo pve. The five second protection adds up to a lot whit a few baddies in front. Just before going down the knock back follwed by the smaal heal and then signet of resolve gets you ready to finish off whatever is left quickly.
It certainly helps me because I don’t have a large dps build (in fact I still dont’t have any build at all, just a mix of stuff). With my first exotic build’s 37 percent damage mitigation a 70 percent reduction for five seconds sounds good.
Using the first virtue everytime it is available is fine because everybody burns the target. The other two I find is best kept for the passives until you see someone about to be downed or a big aoe coming in.
Signets are really nice too when you activate them for everyone to retaliate and such. Signet of mercy was appreciated a few times.
I’m still a very new player so I don’t know much. Don’t have much pvp experience either. But wouldn’t runes that extend boon duration help to sprint longer? What about food or other things that gain swiftness?
Perhaps it’s better to make them chase you at first using the8r speed skills and then cut them down while that’s on cooldown. Then again, they must be dumb to do that in the firs place, right?
The scepter actually sounds very viable, providing you close that gap in 2 seconds and ward your opponent in with a hammer. Bit will you still have enough damge to finish the job?
Interested in this because I like to learn. With greatsword you can perhaps chain him and then pull him in when he starts to run. If you have a fair amount of primary attributes changing traits for boon duration/condition damage/decreased weapon swop cooldown might help.
Aren’t any of the elite skills viable for extra spells that might be benificial?
Just keep that in mind but do what you want (but do be prepared for some trash talk from other players if you do).
Yeah, people tend to become so doctrined in what is better and correct. I myself don’t like to look at guides because it makes a person miss so many aspects of the game that are ther to explore.
And traits of course. If your gear gives you solid primary stats you can invest more into traits that increase healing power and decrease virtue recharge. Off hand you can run a sword and either a torch or shield. I’ve heard before you should avoid the shield but it’s helpfull to jump in and shield your team, then popping it for more heal.
The torch can remove conditions with cleansing breath.
Just remember that you can’t go support so far that you don’t do enough damage. If you don’t do a lot of damage your chances at loot is slimmer. You will have less chance to also get chests from world bosses and dungeons. Giardian is perfect for a balance betwen the two. A good self heal and a staff does the job well for both you and the team.
I like having a few signets for the self passives and team boons when activated. I’m building towards a soldier’s build with runes of the guardian.
That should give you high enough health and toughness with lots of decent damage.
Adding to that runes that increase healing power, boon duration or whatever you are focusing on and yoir setup will be solid. Same with sigils.
It takes a while though. At lvl80 I still run around with lvl 60 armor, but crafting is fun:)
In which tier of the skills is it? You have to unlock (use skill points to buy) a number of skills in one tier before you can unlock skills in the next. You may see something like 3/5 above the skill which would mean you have to unlock 2 more skills before you can get to that one.
I’ve only been playing for a month and I’m obsessed with exploring and farming. Have played little wvw, pvp and fractals but starting to get into it. But exploring is awesome.
As for the build I personally don’t give a hoot. I don’t like following “proper build guides” and love building as I see fit and what works for me. In fact my lvl 80 guardian still runs around with a mismatch set of lvl 30 to 50 armor and whatever runes, sigils or whatever upgrades I have to dump in there. I am working towards crafting my own proper set while I still decide what it is exactly I wanna do. It’s supposed to be fun after all.
It sounds like you and Gibson are having a blast with the family. I so whish my wife wouldcatch an interest
Keep on enjoying.
Thanks Mercy, that’s what I meant to find out. Whenever I search all I see is Necro’s being flamed.
And thanks to everybody else for their input. Hawkeye, I’m with you on that. Are world bosses immune to fear? And I believe the fact that a Necro can consume so many conditions is a good thing for a team? The temptation to start a Necro was brought on by the way many people think about it.
Hello everyone.
I started playin a month ago and have a lvl 80 Guardian, which I love to play very much. I have noticed that there aren’t many necro’s in pve, especially in dungeons. Im actually considerint m6 next character to be one. I also understand from some searching that Necro’s get criticism for some stupid reasons regarding playstyle in pve, mostly the dungeons.
But what I’m really here for is to find out how Necro’s and Guardians fare together in a party. If I use condition cleansing skills, and should it fall on a Necro, does that interfere with the mechanics of a Necro by removing stuff that je/she intends to use? Or is it safe to use those skills.
As a guardian I tend to stay in front where it is easier to heal allies( I’m the more supportive type), ocasionally falling back to heal up or support. It’s when I fall back that I wonder if I may mess up a Necro’s fight.
But as I said: sadly I have never experienced a fight with a Necro.
Thanks and sorry for the long post
