Alright so I think I am getting a temperature issue, the screen is fine in Lion’s Arch till I stay for awhile then I notice the issue and quickly check my temps and the GPU is reading 82-84c. This computer isn’t brand new I’ve had it 3 months and it is just now since I got the new Nvidia update reaching these temps even now that I rerolled…do I have to send my card in any ideas?

Fresh install and still getting these issues.

I’ll clean it up with driver sweeper and try the install again and if not I’ll rollback. Thanks for your time, it’s just so weird this is the only game of many I play that has an issue.

I never had this issue till I got the Nvidia update on Jan 5… my temps when playing GW doing Claw of Jormag are 65C

I tried to take a screenshot of the stringy things that appear but in every screen shot they don’t appear.

Hello I’ve been playing since beta haven’t had too many problems till now.

My specs:
GPU: Nvidia 660 (ver 310.90 driver)
CPU: i5 370k 3.4ghz
Ram: 8gb
OS: Win 7 Ult 64 bit

My problem: Recently when I am playing I’ll either get texture flashes that look all crazy or now in the past two days I get these stringy textures that fly all across my screen, at one point yesterday my whole system crashed and all my fans sped up making me hard reset my system it was very scary and I haven’t played since… all my other games work perfectly fine and have no issues.

I bought 2 black lion keys just now, I got the first and it took my gems for the 2nd but I never received it. Please help and thank you.

I got the email alert as well never granted them access but they still logged in and took everything.

I lost all my things too bud…we’re not going to get our things back. If your account gets hacked in the future when they have that system you might get your things back but now when it isn’t in you’re not going to get anything. You and me both have to farm all our hard work again.

I see new topics opened and responded to right away, did you not see my topic or avoiding me?

Just a quick copy paste response like normal would at least make me happier that you somewhat read what I said and care?

I was told since my account was hacked that you cannot and will not restore items or the money I lost but now you’re going to restore the money people lost from the trading post? I mean come on the hacker even took my gems that I paid real money for and you won’t even give those back?

Maybe I should make threats about refunds and what not to get you talking to me… is it so bad that after all the things you can’t do for me I still want to play, you should help those that aren’t making threats too.

Buddy if you can currently play on your account there is nothing they can do… they don’t restore any of you missing items or gold… I am in the same boat as you, my character didn’t have clothes and no money to even way point and they wont restore anything.

If your making an mmo the first thing u should concider is hacking and account restore. All they need do is rollback your account… and if they cannot do that then iv lost all faith in a.net protecting me.

No it is confirmed they cant and wont at this time restore any of your items if you got hacked and your level 80 was stripped naked and deleted all you get back from them is an empty account.

The problem is no one cares…..truth be told that is what I am starting to believe after 8 days of being banned.

This is seeming correct as they just dont care, no one has answered my ticket. All my lost hard work they cant give it back to me…what are they good for?

Just a quick tip to help protect yourself from hackers. Create a brand new email address with a strong password (preferably a password you don’t use for anything else) and use that to login to the game with.

Use the address ONLY for GW2 and don’t share it with anyone.

Your level of protection has now increased significantly.

10 years of playing MMO’s your the first I’ve been hacked in… Same email for all that time. Don’t take the easy way out, you should have helped us and took care of us like you did in GW1

Seriously, the waiting days and days for your hacked account to be unbanned is rather silly.

Not to mention when you do get your account back you’re going to be naked and not even have enough money to travel to a waypoint to try and start earning the things back you lost.

I was about the 8th post in that thread I didn’t get any response from them.

Already have and was given a generic reply (automatic/computer generated). I have a feeling that I will wait a month or two til my issue will be resolved (if even at all). Thought to take a jab at the forums so that other people experiencing this will know that they are not alone and so we can form a circle of *feels.

*Feels – is used to describe a plethora of mood dampening emotions.

They don’t know what emotions are friend, we paid our money to them and since this isn’t monthly pay they just haven’t gotten to the point of being able to care for us and restore our hard work. I feel your pain and others do too. I am sorry.

I have so much hate in my heart for this game now, I just want to know why you didn’t think or is it that you didn’t care… this isn’t your first MMO so you should had known better…

They wont restore your items, I was the one who asked… I have a level 80 money and materials. The hacker took it all from me and Anet doesnt seem to care they may just think were money. I love this game with a passion thats why I worked so hard and its all gone.

Not that hes getting back to me but I also did just learn that if your account was hacked and you lost everything that they cant give you the things you have worked so hard for back “We do not currently have the ability to conduct Account Restorations. That is definitely something we want to offer in the future, but it’s not possible now.”

I love this game so much I have been following it for years and now that its here I loved it so much more until I learned how bad their support is, I am just so upset they are lucky they don’t have a support phone number.

Please restore hope I wanna love this game again.

You also shouldn’t have to create a whole new email just for a game, their security should be better… Other games are and have been doing just fine. I am big into Guild Wars, I played number one a lot. They should have better means to secure an account like how in GWone you had to know a characters name on the account you wish to log into.

Quick question my account was hacked and everything was taken. When the team does get around to helping me will all my items be restored as they would in other games or am I getting nothing other then the closure you may have caught the guy who did it?

Well my account was hacked like a lot of people, the hacker took all my items leaving me naked and emptying out my bank/materials. I’m not going to go into it. What I am just hoping for is an email from someone from support just saying that I’m on the list and they will get to me… All I want to do is play, it’s just so upsetting.

Listen to Echo, we would all kill to get some help.

My game information is separate from what I use online and they still were able to get into my account.

My account got hacked… I got the email saying someone was trying to get in but never allowed access, this game needs better security. They took everything from my account and I am so sad….
