Guild Wars 2

It seems my fps can never stay steady. Most of the time I get 60+ at max settings on my computer but lately I can’t seem to get past 20. Even lowering the settings to the absolute lowest I can’t seem to get more that 25 frames. Moving drops my fps to around 8.

I’ve checked to make sure my drivers are up to date and followed fps sticky tips for my unit.

Windows 8.1
Nvidea geforce gtx765m

I just a new gaming laptop the other day and installed GW2. Originally I was getting between 50 and 60fps with the game. Today I installed the 8.1 update for windows and now I hardly hit 20 when idle.

I updated the driver on my video card but that hardly helped.

CPU: Intel Core i7-4700HQ 2.4GHz
RAM: 16 GB DDR3
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 765M

Just wondering if it’s worth it to upgrade my graphics card. I’m running gw2 on mostly max settings at around 16 fps, a little more when in quieter areas. So I was wondering if upgrading my graphics card would yield smoother gameplay.

To be completely honest, I have no idea what card I have in there already (is there a simple way to check?), but I was also wonder what are some of the better ones on the market right now. Prices on them? I’d like something to hold me over for other games as well, although I usually only play MMOs on the PC.

Is there perhaps ways that are relatively fun and profitable at the same time. I’ve been watching the timers for world event and those can be mildly profitable, is there anything else?

Also, is there a better way to find Exotic weapons, particularly ones like Leaf of Kudzu or the Lover? I would like to at least start getting materials for a legendary weapon.

Does anyone else have any tips to get myself into some fast cash? Matt collecting routes? Items easily farmed and sold? Are fractals any good for making gold?

Hello, just hit level 80 last night (wuhoo) and I’m wondering where are some good places to farm for some gold/karma. Also what are some other fun things to do at 80 and what are fractals and where to I start them?
