I rather you do 3 rotation of LDB and stealth, letting the opponent bleed out. If they cleanse, you can wait for your init to regain and do it all over again or just find another target.

Much more survivability since you clear any conds on you when u stealth.

I usually do 20/30/0/20/0, might try the build you posted though. I definitely see the potential in Fluid Strikes, but it’s more niche as well.

Actually I might just try 15/30/0/25/0, since I know I will be rolling with SB as my secondary and I love AoE weakness too much to give up.

I run 0/30/0/30/10. I find that 15 or 20 points into DA isn’t that attractive.

You can only use sundering strikes/mug at 10 points and combined training at 20 points with 150 or 200 power depending on how much points you trait.

sundering strikes isn’t bad if you do trait into DA, but I rather let an engineer inflict vulnerability if there is 1 in the party. Mug is dangerous to pull off in high lvl fractals as it sometimes gets you 1-shot if your timing is bad.

Serpert’s touch and Lotus poison aren’t very useful as well as pistol doesn’t inflict poison and I can just choking gas and clusterbomb for the same effect of lotus poison since after chocking gas, you will no doubt spam clusterbombs on trash mobs anyway.

However the 10 points in Trickery gets you Thrill of the crime, which gives fury, lets me maintain 100% crit chance for 13 secs (with 30 pts in acrobatics) with cooldown of 40secs.

That’s a 32.5% uptime of fury and if your team mates can provide fury to you as well, that’s even better.

The minor trait also gives you 3 initiative when you hit a crunch of getting initiative starved.

Can someone educate me on why people use Divinity runes? Is there something special about the runes that I do not know of besides, +10 to all stats and 2%crit dmg?

I actually see a lot of Pistol/Pistol Thieves. It seems to be a very popular choice.

My problem with the weapon set is that it is an incredibly limited play-style. All you do and all you really offer to the group is single-target DPS by spaming Unload. Sure, damage might be decent but it is hardly interesting or engaging, let alone supporting your group.

You add no interesting Conditions, have little/no AoE and have to use a lot of traits to spec for more Initiative regeneration.

Generally all thieves run with SB as secondary weapon. I have not met a thief that do not use weapon swap, although I have met plenty of warriors and guardians that just sticks to greatswords. LoL!

My account was banned the next day after I return my friend 40g through in-game mail.

The next day when I tried to login, I received an error saying my account was terminated due to selling in-game item for real money.

At first, I thought my account was hacked but after I checked my email, there wasn’t any unauthorised logins detected and there wasn’t any email from Anet with details on why I was banned.

Naturally, I posted a ticket to Anet asking about why I was banned for no reason.

A few days later, Anet reset my password and no reason was given about the ban.

The email that reset my password was worded as if my account was hacked and ask me to protect my password better in future.

Anyway after this lesson, I never use in-game mail to transfer gold, I use the guild bank instead to lend or return my friends so as to avoid getting bans again.

After seeing the numbers, it got me thinking about what traits, runes and sigils he used to achieve those numbers apart of good party coordinations with party wide 25 stack might, fury and some vulnerability on boss.

I am not sure where you guys pull damage numbers of 12k backstab crits and 6k clusterbomb crits from, because I never deal that much damage with those weapons before in fractals in full berserker gears as the bosses and mobs have tons of toughness on them. Are those numbers from WvW, where players toughness is lower?

Anyway, this thread started with Scootabuser.4915 showing that P/P is a viable weapon set and it is good dps against single target, whereby it is important in high lvl fractals.

It is just an option for those who dislike p/p (like me in the past) to give it a chance and try it again.

Actually detonating clusterbomb when its close to the target to ensure all 3 splits hit the target is slightly more damage than not detonating it.

And the target gets 3 stack of bleeds instead of 1 stack, but the blast finisher will not activate on detonation.

But chances are not all 3 splits will crit, so it ends up with slightly lesser damage. as its easier to get 1 big crit than 3 smaller ones.

Back to the topic about clusterbombs compared to unload.

One rarely go in melee range to clusterbomb in high lvl fractal as that is suicidal. So if you are clusterbombing at a safe range. It is lower dps than unload.

Until the day they change clusterbomb to work like engineer bombs where you continuously pump them out. The damage will always be lesser simply because you can’t do 2 clusterbombs (6 init) at range compared to 1 unload (5 init) in the same time frame of 2 secs.

Anyway I am talking about consistent dps at boss fights, where normally its just 1 boss and no adds.

If its about trash mobs, everyone knows that SB wins hands down. That’s why SB is a mandatory secondary weapon for every thief no matter which weapon set u use for main.

It’s true P/P is the way to go for high fractals. Doing max dmg at range while avoid a lot of the boss attacks that can 1 shot anyone. You will out dmg a D/D thief simply because he will be too busy avoiding attacks and not hitting the boss.

Anyone that says that SB can hit more than P/P in high fractal levels 30+ onwards is gotta be kidding me.
