Many users including myself are having an issue with Logitech G35 headsets. I do not know with which company the fault lies.
In stereo mode, sound will only come out of the right earpiece. In surround sound mode, in cut scenes the voice volume is way too loud and sounds like static and distorted like it is breaking up.
This is probably a minor problem to you ArenaNet with the priorities of other support issues and balance changes. I understand. But it would be very nice to hear some kind of official word on the matter and if you’re aware of it/working on a fix. Again, this might be a Logitech problem and nothing to do with your end, I don’t know. But it has really detracted from my enjoyment of the game.
Uodate.. I’m not sure how well that worked for me….sounds just as bad.
I think there is an option but even when I tried they still sounded…distorted… Some have said to uninstall and reinstall newest version of adobe flash.. Worth a try I’ll report back in an hour or so.
I have the same problems along with my friends. Dialogue sounds way too loud and distorted in cut scenes. When I uninstalled the Logitech software the headset was fine. Obviously in this mode I cannot use surround sound though. Not sure where the problem lies.
