Guild Wars 2

WvW is dying, if you don’t see it you are blind. All they have done thus far is remove content from WvW instead of fixing/balancing it, and people are getting tired of it. WvW is a stagnant game type, they have literally added stuff to every other facet of the game aside from WvW.

WvW needs some sort of progression. As it stands now you have 0 to fight for. Server pride is a joke as >50% of the WvW population has moved servers at least once and will probably move again.

Freelancer is worthless, and so is this idea.

Removing orange swords would just make it easier for zergs to attack objectives unnoticed. As it stands now if you attack something with more than 5 people then the other team is alerted, remove that and there is no advantage to having a 5 man group stealth capping, you may as well roll with a zerg because you are both now equally stealthed.

Yea they also said that the Dolyak events were going to be “worked on” and instead they have just been removed for over a month…I don’t understand why they just couldnt swap the undermanned buff and the orb bonus? The orb event was one of the funnest things left to do in WvW.

Also 30% magic find for bots and hacks aren’t game breaking if I only have 10% chance to get something with 30% MF I have another 3% chance, its not the end all be all. And why the hell is it our fault and why are we being punished because they can’t handle bots?

I seriously feel like WvW is the redheaded step child of this game even tho its what attracted a lot of people to it. I mean all the updates we have gotten have just been them stripping content from us instead of giving us more. The biggest things we got to do was launch pumpkins and shoot toilet paper and that was it. Id like to see something come to WvW soon *cough*cough*November15th*cough*cough* or I could see a lot MORE people stop playing what is becoming a stagnant game type.

So i bought some of the weapons from the merchant in LA thinking that the 4 hour timer was until the skins are no longer available…Apparently thats just how long they last in your inventory and you cant transmute them so they are completely worthless and I’m out my money/corn. Awesome….

Servers are getting more organized so I can seriously see a point where server A is up by an amount and organizes it such that they don’t login to wvw so the multiplier kicks in and the opposing teams can’t score enough to win.

The problem with your model has already been pointed out. ANet has clearly stated that no one group of people’s time is to be worth less than another simply becuase their prime time is different. Your model essentially makes Oceanics worth less than prime time players, which won’t fly.

The current scoring system is fine, orb and outmanned could be switched but its not that bad; the broken part is free transfers. In more than one situation the population for WvW was spread nicely, and due to free transfers some servers got stacked and some servers became ghost towns which is what is really ruining matchups; and no scoring system is going to fix that. They need to announce the close of free transfers, at that point people will make their final choice, and the population spread out some. And if that doesn’t work they could offer incentives to transfer to lower rank servers.

TL;DR Free transfers are the problem not scoring, these transfers are whats imbalancing coverages and causing 90% of the current issues. Thats what needs to be solved NOT scoring

When will these be reactivated? Yea I got it you didn’t want us farming it during matches but what about when we are stuck in horrible matches that occur because you haven’t turned free transfers off? I play mainly in WvW and I level there as well, but I can’t very well do that when the opposing 2 servers only take 1 supply camp an hour…Can we get these turned back on?

Edit: I get people running these farming was deterimental in some games, but you can’t honestly tell me that 50 people running dolyaks is anymore detrimental than 50 people taking up queue spots running/trolling jumping puzzles…

I am kinda kitten about this. The story rewards are completely worthless. Take the armor sets for example: by the time you get to the last piece of the set the first piece is worthless; and thats only if you complete your story as you level. Lord forbid you come back to do your story once you have leveled, because at that point the reards are completely worthless. But I can stomach that, its the end of story reward that kills me. I do the entire story and then at the end I get 3 worthless greens to merch…awesome. What was wrong with the GW1 model where we got a token we could turn in for a unique end of story item? Why wasn’t that model used here or something equivalent? Why am I rewarded at the end of my story with what comes out to about 5s in crap I will never use?

TL;DR: The end of story rewards should be stuff we can actually use, items we choose and can carry with us, not 3 loot bags with random greens.

They should keep the surcharge but allow you to change the price (maybe 2 time limit), and if you remove the item then you lose the charge. With the market as large as it is the penny and dime crap is getting real old real fast especially on more expensive items. 9/10 its more profitable to just sell the item to an offer because you will get nickled and dimed until your item will never sell anyway, which sucks.

Come’on Anet give us some word on this, its frustrating wanting to buy highend items but not being able to because we have no idea what they look like, especially named items….

I got lazy on my last post I was heading out the door, but yea 5v5 not 8v8. 8v8 is to learn the maps 5v5 is to play the game. If you can’t find a group enter free toruneys as a lone person and it will put you in a group. Just try that. Also like I said change classes, try a condition trapping ranger or something.

Play the class you are pissy at and learn how others counter it so you can counter it. 100 more games as a wammo isnt going to help you.

You are only R11, you havent played enough to really make the determination that the game is unplayable.

I don’t play hot-join nonsense so I don’t know what you are experiencing there but like someone else said 8v8 is unfair, there are few tactics there and people rage drop all the time.

In Tourneys:
Thiefs stealth is easily countered with traps, period. Every team needs some sort of area denial and placing that area denial on a teammates body while in a point is usually a good move. If they are specced to backstab then they are just as squishy as a light armor and easily taken down if you can kite them a little.

I have had no problem targetting but thats most likely because my team actually uses targetting (ctrl+t) as it was intended to focus fire targets.

How are mesmers impossible to hit? Their clones are very weak if you swing once and it goes down to like 1/2 health its probably a clone.

Most of your “broken” gameplay problems can be attributed to lack of experience and teamwork. Find a guild, play on a team, play free tourneys and enjoy the game.

Do you plan on making dungeon tokens available for sale on trading post? Hell I would even pay gems for dungeon tokens.

The fact that you were macroing was enough to get you banned, as you were using 3rd party programs. The whisper that “both names started with A” most likely has absolutely nothing to do with this ban, unless the account was a official gm account.

My keyboard is not a third party program…Lots of keyboards have macros installed on them to make the button pushing less tiresome.

Also I know that this is the way they check for bots; it’s what they told us to do if we wanted to report a bot. We are to whisper them wait and take a screenshot of their no reply and then report the bot.

We were also told that macroing was allowed as long as we were not afk. Macroing does not give anyone an advantage it just makes pushing the buttons less tiresome. And if they are gonna ban all macroing people they may as well just ban half the population of the game.

Im not wrong apparently that is their method for checking if people are botting. I feel the same way I have entire chat channels where I don’t have whispers up becuase of gold salesman and people spamming me to join our guild. I was lucky enough to be in a chat channel to get whispers in this case or else I wouldnt be able to defend myself. I ignore most of my whispers and 90% of chat in general because I am on TS with my guild.

Also who in their right mind would stop in the middle of a dyanmic event and answer a whisper. If you really thought I was botting why not wait until the dyanmic event was over and see if I responded then? Or moved or did anything to make you no suspicisous. To me it looks like they are looking for reasons to ban people, all these problems with the game and they apparently have time to troll people to see if they are botting. If they really have to message you to check then they should do it over a channel that is not disablable and they should say something other then “hi hi.” But yea reply to all your whispers because apparently if you don’t you are a bot and banned.

Still waiting on a reply. Between GW1 with my HoM and GW2 I have almost $500 and several thousand hours invested, I would really appreciate some kind of reply.

Not really Ive seen posts get ignored for days and others get answered in an hour or less.

I used to think that people were just whining about Anets policies, but now after having experienced their justice system myself I understand them. I was given 1 minute to respond to 1 whisper from a total stranger before I was banned. I wonder how many other people have been banned becasue they do not return whispers from total strangers. Had I known that I had 1 minute to respond or be banned I may have been faster on the keyboard but instead all I recieved is “hi hi” and was banned. Gaile could you please please please just talk to me about this? I have followed you since GW1 when you used to talk to us at the fountain at Lions Arch and I was there at your in game party when you stepped down as the community figure head for GW1. I respect you and I would really appreciate just some reply or something to this please.

Macor’ing does not give me an advantage, it just stops me from getting carpal tunnel mashing the same key(s) over and over to acquire new targets and attack. Macros only result in an advantage when the person leaves their keyboard and uses this to level while AFK. This was not the case for me I was at my keyboard playing the game. I have over 200 hours in this game and I use a macro during a dynamic event once bc my fingers were killing me and I get perma banned this makes no sense. It is clear that I was playing the game normally outside of using a macro to stop my constant button mashing.

I do not know if this will help but I figure it cannot hurt. My ticket number is 120911-007975 and I was banned for “third party addons or botting” while running a macro. I was in a dynamic event when I was sent a message by some1 I guess testing to see if I was botting. By the time I went to reply to them I was banned. The message read “hi hi” and it was by some one with 2 names I believe they both started with A. If you check this was the second time I participated in this event and between both times I was running collecting nodes and viewpoints and visiting the merchant. I was obviously not botting if I was I would have been standing perfectly for a long stretch of time ignoring the world around me when I was not in fact I switched my weapons several times and changed which direction I was firing in. This information combined with the fact that I know I was sent a message and what it said should be enough to vindicate me. If macros are this big of a problem then I will just stop using them. I have been a loyal customer and played guild wars 1 for many years with no indicents before changing to guild wars 2. Please help me!
