Personally, I think that the female Norn and the Female Charr voices should have been swapped, the female Norn one sounded so much like how I imagined a female Charr’s would have and vice versa.

On occasion I will use ‘Prayer to Lyssa’ if I’m in need of some condi damage, and very rarely I’ll use ‘Hounds of Balthazar’ apart from that I don’t really use any other of the Human racial skills. I would use ‘Prayer to Kormir’ more often but the recharge time of 45 seconds is huge! I find that if I try using it to diminish my conditions on myself that in a span of 30ish seconds I’ll have another five to work against.

They are the Pale Trees version of a human being but she only knew what they looked like from the outside so Sylvari is what we get
Also, the Pale Tree was planted as a sapling on a graveyard of Humans, after a centaur massacre 250 years ago (During GW1 time). Hence why they look so much like Humans only plant form.

I don’t hate Trahearne per say, though when he did ‘steal the spotlight’ it feels like it did in Guild Wars Nightfall with Kormir, hence Trahearne’s nick-name of being Kormir 2.0. After playing through the Sylvari story line he felt more like a friend who aided us than stealing the show. However, playing through any other story line it does feel like he stole the credit, which bugs me and a lot more people. I don’t hate him, he just gets on my nerves occasionally.

YES, they have a gold-mine of a concept here for this race but it’s soo … limited.
Hairstyles they could use!
Cotton Bloom head for Afro
Thick Vines for dreads/ mid sized ones for curly or long non-dread styled hair
Grass for buzz cuts/ short hair
Pig-tails that are actually just two large blooming flowers
Bulbs that can be buns.
Thorn bush branches for Mohawks/ dreads again
Aloe Leaf hair
You can also take fruit as an example. Berries Bush Branches.
Same for the face. There are soo few options for the faces … it’s annoying. I want more planty asystematical faces that actually look interesting and more pretty faces that look human. I think that’s why people think all plant-players looks alike.
Same for the Armor.
Hopefully this and other races are just limited until and update/ expansion pack comes along. And hopefully that allows current toons to be re-done.
Although Sylvari have so many customisable aspects of them, it does bug me how there’s limited amount of face/hairstyles. And like I said in a Human forum discussion, it feels like all Sylvari look the same. Same face/ears/hair, I would like more customisation.

There are (currently) 3 types of sylvari, you have your normal sylvari that are still connected to the dream, and you have the Nightmare court that have been disconnected from the dream and “changed”. and the little talked about soundless sylvari that as far as I know only have a single settlement in Caledon Forest. They neither support or oppose the dream, they simply wish to live there own life without the whispers of the dream in there ear. I guess there are really 4 but the last so far only consists of 1 sylvari and he has memory loss so he might have been connected to the dream but just forgot, or was never connected in the first place. Which brings up more questions about the dream and its origins.
I personally subscribe to the theory that the pale tree is a minion of the currently unnamed/unknown nature elder dragon, plenty of stuff about that on other topics.
From what I know, each elder dragon creates its minions differently, one can corrupt living things to make minions while another might use fire and stone to create a minion.
But when it comes to creating new minions I’m lead to believe that only the dragons and there generals possess the ability to create minions.
So if the pale tree is really a general of at least a minion factory then the sylvari wont beable to reproduce.
Of course you mean the Jungle Dragon, which has been rumoured immensely, and the theory that the Pale Tree is a general for said dragon is also on the front of everyone’s minds. Although, the Pale Tree could also be the Jungle Dragon, or like Kralkatorik (Or however you spell it) the Mother Tree could be a vertebrate of the dragon that lives miles below the earth and is big enough to spread all through the Maguuma…but that’s just a theory. Of course going back to the theory that the Pale Tree is a general for the Jungle Dragon means that 250 years ago when the sapling of the tree was planted that the Dragon planned it all or that the Dragon became the tree? I’m confusing even myself here, (Yikes) but it’ll be interesting to see if Anet ever fully delve into these rumours.

I’d love if Anet would implement more hairstyles, I mean another reason I don’t play Human a lot, (I only have one) is that all the Humans look so similar, with the same hairstyle, body shape and even face. They just lack that individuality that made them so unique in GW1. All these hairstyles are awesome.

As my Human is a ranger, and my only Human, I found that Hounds of Balthazar were okay in the beginning, and I was using it as much as possible, but once I speced out I started using Rampage as One, which in my opinion, isn’t the best (that’s me though) but it was better than the racial skills for Humans.

On the whole, I quite like the medium armours. There are some that are simply hideous (Leather, Studded/Superior Studded, Whispers, T1 and T3 cultural), but they can be easily avoided.
Of course, if your preference is for really skimpy armours, then you’d be spoilt for choice with light armour. Perhaps one day ANet will implement a ‘transmute any skin to any armour type’ item in future.
I’m not sure Anet would implement that, considering that each profession has a specific type of armour (Light, Medium, Heavy) as much as I’d love switching the armour up and customising it that much, it would look quite strange if you had an elementalist running around in full heavy gear, or vice versa.
