I just saw this topic on the REDDIT https://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/52l8u3/hype_jw_and_cooking_to_500/ but the problem is i cannot find the confirmation on either GW2 official nor other places. It does sound interesting, and would like official confirmation if possible. Also people in comments suggest buying various mats, but it all sounds like another market manipulation to me.

I am amazed by one trait of the people – Blame everything else, and never find blame inside you.

One saying goes – You wont grow up until you learn to take responsibility for your deeds.

I watched a lot of screenshots above, whinning about lose streak and blaming teammates. I payed attention to their build bellow – and i see P/P thief, with full signet utility and simmilar “pro-builds” qq about MAtchmaking.

You complain about higher division players playing agains you? Did it cross your mind that you belong to amber or emerald right now, until good players reach V and VI. And even later, your skills are just not ready yet for Ruby or Diamond, so it is reason why you cannot achieve 50 or more percent win rate, and get stomped by good players. Its harsh truth, but you are not that good, and not entitled to be rubz, diamond, legend, and to constantly rise in divisions.

IF you are staling it means that you are right where you need to be. If you keep losing it means it is too high division for you. If you are on a win streak it means you need to climb higher until you match people with simmilar skill.
Last season i climbed to mid Diamond, solo q. I kept winning one, lose one. All games were close. People with simmilar skill. SO i didnt push it to Legendary, i wasnt entitled to it. I just enjoyed games i had, wich were engaging. I improved my skills, playing vs LEgends and ESL players sometimes, and beeing stomped.
This season i easily climbed to mid III in just few hours, winning 80 percent of games. And currently i am stalling. Why? Cause i currentlz belong there.

Well said OP. I wanted to write similar thing myself. People complain about everything. They introduced harder and funnier content still people cry I can’t explore. For, you have real word go explore it if you just wanna see things. People say vanilla was nice, for solo exploring and enjoy sight seeing. It was just content worth playing once, with boring hearth quest. If you like it just go and watch nature, no one forces you to play in the jungle. You don’t need legendary armor gated behind raids for that. I am glad we finally got over press 1 1 1 boring world boss content or clear mobs attacking object by relaxing spaming AOE.

Whooaa… I found this really amusing.
Are we considering this thing an abuse. In a game. Fantasy world? Now to explain some things from different points of view, to keep it constructive.

1. Roleplaying view – This is action- combat fantasy game. You play all mighty hero who will save Tyria from fierce dragon, honorable commander who is offended by players standing next to him? It seems like a plot of a low budget commedy. Have some courage or play with barbies
2. Real life view – This is a game. I presume you have at least decent RL, with people you care about. You come here to relax, and enjoy. If you care about the oppinion of the anonimous people in THE GAME and make you nervous and affect your real life, you need to reconsider your own behaviour. Its a matter of self worth and self respect that you lack then, which you need to work on and build up. Confident man dont fall so easily on the tales of people around him.
3. Harrassment view – IMO what you described is not a harassment. And honestly, if you consider that to be a harassment…i can say you are a lucky man. Then you did not meet the real life yet, and the real meaning of abuse and harassment that it has to offer daily on different basis, from work to sports, to university. It is just the way the life is. You either adapt and evolve, either cry or get stronger and overcome problem… Whole life is a fight, so either just surrender and cry in corner for your hurt little feeling because someone stood on you in THE GAME, or be the kitten MAN and fight for ones you love, things you care, and dont let anyone ruin that for you. It is your choise – be a wolf or be a sheep

This a sad life story… Of a hero false to the darkness.
Once I was a rich man, with a great shiny gear, full storage and lots of gold.
Until that doom day. The nasty and infamous skritt came to my town, offering easy money. I invested 60 gold gained 100. I bought the shiny pink stuff. Got even richer. I kept on buying and getting more and more. Greed shined from my eyes as I had things I never had before. Numbers didn’t mean anything to me then, as I saw 1k gold, 1k ecto, for the first time of my life. And I kept gambling until I hit bottom. THE ultimate 0. Then something dragged me to my bank. That scritt charmed me. I sold everything, and had 400 gold. Went to gamble. Went to my doom. As I lost it in matters of seconds. Then I remembered I had 100 laurels. They went down the sink, and I swear they could outrun centaur. I am cursed man… And with the last 10 gold I gambled on the rare bags I even salvaged my weapons, sold my warrior soul. Went up. Bought exotics until I had got for acended one. With nothing left except that bag. Adrenalin rushed when I started opening. 500 ectos 200 gold. Bought 2.had 700 ectos 400 gold. I was back. But that scritt just didn’t let me go. For the second time I hit bottom. With nothing left. This is my last letter as a head towards the newly built lighthouse. What an irony
New life starting as my own is ending. Gonna make that jump…

I had trust in ANET, and as always they showed why they are the best.

I was not so glad about their move with the expansion, but i still prepurchased. I heard a lot off flaming about the expansion from my friends, and still i told and assured them, cause i knew Anet will not make a move agains it playerbase. Everyone can make the mistake, it is what you do after that shows who you realy are.

Ok… Off topic. I rarely post on forums, but reading em regularly. Message to OP. I read your post history. You are complaining about thief, warrior, Mesmer, Guardian and Cele ele. Wtf is that really. Half of the professions are OP in your opinion. I see l2p issue here. With no mean of insulting, I recommend you try other classes and actualy play and get good at them.
I play 6 classes and trust me each of them needs to be learned to be good and ‘op’ with it. You complain about mesmer. Currently I am a good player, but when I started Mesmer I sucked for first 50 matches. I thought it was useless class until I learned to properly do combos etkittenil I tried different builds and playstyles. Mess is high skill cap and it shines in the good player hands only.
Also you complain about thief stealth previous post. 2 sec stealth broken mechanic. Rly? You even suggested need for nerf to 5 sec stealth maximum. Which thief can achieve with Sr only, or by dumping all his initiative and be useless. As a thief main, and a high tier player, I don’t even use Sr as utility, and stealth only for accessing backstabbing in mid fight.

Same, I thought about Cele ele being OP. Until I tried one. And guess what, at beginning I had no idea what my 25 skills are and how to use em. I died in seconds until I learned rotations etc.
This game is alt riendly. I suggest you play at least other classes before complaining. This is what is wrong with gw2 players mentality.

As a hard core Hon and Dota player I know the real meaning of toxic. But it never ruined my experience at a game. It’s part of Pvp. You either get good, learn not to pay attention or pvp is just not for you. Go kill mobs, they can’t flame you. PVP IS competitive part of the game. If you can’t handle that they are better and worse people than you… It’s not for you.
They are highly competitive people who don’t like losing… If you get flamed just forget it. It happens in real life also, in sports. And in competitive game of course there need to be elitist… The real best of the best. As it is in rl. Some are toxic some are friendly..

You do realise that thief has high skill cap. You need to be really familiar with how pvp is working to be able to contribute to team as a thief. Thief is hard to play. And if you lose 10 in a row, maybe it’s not game fault. Check with yourself if you are doing well. If not, just pick some other class, practice a bit and it will be good. Read some forums, try different builds and you will get good pretty son.
Mm is working pretty well for me. Although I must agree with people saying that daily pvp is ruining it. There is a lot of random clueless people in ranked games who are there for daily only. They ruin experience a bit.

I really, but really can’t understand how do people find choir hard… I can’t do hard perfectly, I make mistakes on medium sometimes… But guys common… ON EASY YOU NEED TO HIT 1-2 NOTES to get daily done, you can basically just focus on hitting one button during whole song.
And I rly find that choir relaxing experience, it’s a rly good mini game, that I found rly enjoyable after I learned how to play.
It’s not that hard guys… Instead of complaining just do a bit of hard work. And you will enjoy it later.
Also, about Jp. I am not actually good at jps . I played 2 evenings in a row for about hour and a half. And finally made it. It felt so good after that hard work. After that every time I tried it was easier and easier. Now I can do 10 easily in a single event. And best part is I got better at Jp generally… I did some that I couldn’t do before(like skipping stones)

Just stop doing wintersday daily. Trust me 4gifts and 10snowfalls is not shutting you out of game. Total value is 25 silver.
And it’s a game you play, you play to have fun. Those Ap doesn’t mean anything in real life, they don’t mean anything in game also. You won’t feel better with 10ap more. So stop farming it.
Try to understand why are you rly playing the game. Just relax and do what you like and make you happy in game… ANET is not forcing you into any content.

I am really impressed at how lazy players had become… Those achievement with daily don’t take more than 15minutes to complete.
No one is forcing you to play what you don’t like… And just don’t. Let the players who do like it, play.
I presume you do it for achievements points. The name says… You need to do something harder in order to achieve something.
Or you would just like to do things like build a snowman, kill a rat? What is the fun in that. Or should anet just make some tetris or kid style game so we can all farm 10000 achievement points in 3 days.
Why do you hunt AP if you don’t have skill to do basic things? Enjoy the content you like, play game for fun it offers. You don’t like music puzzle or jp . Then just don’t do it. Go and do what you are good at doing. That’s all.
And let the others enjoy a bit harder and different content

I actually don’t agree with the statement thief is not 1vs1 class. I know the role of a thief in pvp. Ofc his main advantage is using mobility to run around the map and help out. But I personally have no problem fighting 1vs1 at all(except neuro or three engine cause it’s suicide). Thief, if aged smart can beat easily any class. Ranger is easily countered with infiltration signet and interupts , warrior with blinds and evades( especially hambow). And elementals and mesmers are just mind play games. Thief main role is out numbering fights and fast decap. But in ranked pvp I found it pretty great to kill and cap that solo guarded point and then rush to next fight. The key is you need to be at all places of map at once.

I totally agree with your statement that we need long event chains that end in a good and epic way. Each map should have it and it should last longer, 2-3hours. So each time you enter zone you can feel it changing and evolving. And of course implementing various task that should be done by parties all across the map simultaneously. And good work across the map should be rewarded with decent lore and story end. Probably events will fail in the beginning, but after practicing a bit should be doable. It’s meta event should be a bit harder to reach after all. For example… Centaurs attacking, different parties defending strongholds, while one party need to infiltrate and destroy battle plans(it can be done like jumping puzzle) , while other need to kill centaur commanders. After all this parties gather for meta even, attacking centaur base and killing boss. Add variety to events so different players can fit their play style. Thief’s will infiltrate, good jumpers will do jp, dps can go attacking, while supports CA help defending and keeping lore npc alive.

And becoming generic was one of the words I was trying to use..

I still enjoy the game and like playing. Just making suggestion to keep interesting game play. I agree with you new dailies are just wasting time, to get those 10ap. I don’t think anyone enjoys doing it. And the point of the game is enjoying it.
Also about trait change and related to gw1. You rly should consider utility skill hunting not trait ones. Like for example doing some hard event chain gives you elite skill from the final boss, for using in pve. Kill tequatl for example and get skill fear for 2 seconds as utility. Just get some skills similar to racial ones, they don’t need to be strong, but only as part of the collection or something. Or it would be fun hunting some rare AL across the map or facing final meta boss for each map, which is part of the event series. Just carrying some skill capture item and getting flame effigy from flame legion(similar to human balthazar dogs) would add variety to the game, and giving your character a personal touch.

Exactly what nGumball said… People want Ap and laurels for doing nothing. What is fun in that. What What is fun in doing simple auto attacks on mindless bosses, mining 4 ores, or running from boss to boss and one hitting it in St.
It’s becoming only another more grind fest. And I have hope in anet they will not allow it.

That is exactly my point. This game was never about loot and grinding. It was for enjoying the content. And that content is becoming to easy and to simple. It’s going towards average mmorpg that already exist on market. I don’t need reward for hard content… I rly want to play that content. SW was good idea, it’s Interesting concept that was ruined by breach lfg and endless farming. I enjoyed it, learning how to defend and attack best. Until it became chest farm and breach runners with empty maps.
I need more hard content. Where good skill really matters. Where you don’t have to stack on one spot to finish dungeon. Just to farm gold and tokens. New players will eventually learn the game and be able to do that hard content.
We need good bosses with smart skills, we need event chains that are harder to successfully complete and that will take time to learn and master. What is the accomplishment and fun behind 2k Ap of 1 year mining in kryta? Wouldn’t it be better to have guilds organise it’s players to complete something challenging… After all its Guild wars.
Only way I want to be rewarded for hard content is completing rly hard things. That are worth of my 2 years of experience in this game

I have been playing this game since beta… And I can’t believe what is it becoming. Only one reason- people complaining it is to hard. Seriously? I can see people complaining about hard new dailies and hard LS achievements? anet did great job in my opinion in last episode… It was challenging, especially if you did it solo, and required knowing game mechanic to get achievement. It rly felt good after completing the set. And afterward I see they flame Anet for making it hard. It is supposed to be that way. They made challenging content without making grinding(excluding SW) and killing 1000k hp boss.
You shouldn’t be making easy content only. Veteran players like challenge. And Gw2 is starting to lack ones. Keep the line between casuals and veterans. There is lot of things for casuals to do. They can complete it after they get better at game, and there is no content left. And will feel rewarded afterwards, when they are able to complete it.
Also I can see complains about dailies. They are hard? Rly? I personally dislike them, cause they force noobs into ranked arenas and mining and Vista viewer are simply time wasters. But event competition being hard. Come on… It is achievement, you need to do something harder kitten . I think you need to change it to a bit of interesting things to do. Not lumber and mine. Like complete event chain in some zones. There are a lot of good events people never did with great lore. Like attacking Shania fortress in norn starting area.
Also suggestion… I would like to see pvp events of at least 10 to 15 people. Where you can use your gear with stats and based on conquest maps from pvp. wvw usury have bigger zergs where skill rly don’t mater a lot. Just the clash. But 10 people with 4-5 caps would matter. Also using stat gear would make you proud of your ascended gear, and will force you to collect and try new builds.

Ok guys. I officially need help. Been playing pvp for last month and got placed among top 100 on a new leaderboards. I use d/p with different meta/non meta builds. I have rly no problems fighting and soloing any class,to solo recap. My only problems are necroes . Never played one, and rly don’t know how they worked. Most of the time I got feared and my hp just goes to zero In less than 2 seconds, no time to dodge. And sometimes I start fighting and get him low and he just enters 2-3 forms than I have no time to fight, and that deal insane dmg(especially wraith looking one) . I tried several times, and now I just go to help team on recapping and defending, when I see necro. I talk about high skill players. Please explain me their mechanics and your suggestion to countering and fighting them. Note, I don’t use shadow refuge at all in spvp, cause it’s a point loser .

I just wanted to thank all the GW team for making this game great and for taking care of their player base.GM Prometheus especialy who helped me solve my problem. I will try to login tommorow,cause i dont have my comp with instaled GW2 on it,to check on my charachters,and what happened to them during these 4 days.I was a bit boring with my ticket spams and a bit mad cause i couldnt play.But now i am totaly happy.JUST WANTED TO THANK YOU ALL ONCE MORE.Keep up good work:))
This was my problem and my report from yesterday and it is solved:

My name is Marko Savkovic and i have big problem with my GW2 Account.Please read carefully my report.I tried contacting GW2 support unit but they didnt help me a lot first time.I am big fan of gw2 game,and i am into it almost since beggining.I had great pleasure playing the game till recently.

4 days ago i tried logging into my game at 01;00 am. I coudnt log in because someone changed my password.I couldnt recover it because i didnt have game box with serial code with me.I didnt think it was big problem,i thought it was again some of theminor loggin in problems,so i went to sleep.During the next day i received e-mail on my phone for autenthication of GW to allow access to someone from USA i think.I declined automaticly.I live in Montekitten and i play only from my hometown Podgorica. When i got home i turn on GW2,i recovered and made new password and tried logging in.It was big surprise for me when i saw that my account was disabled for something.I had a shock,and i tried contacting support immediatly but all i got was useless responds how to restart password and that my account is banned.
It is a big problem cause i didnt do anything to receive ban,i suspect person compromising my account did something when he logged in. I couldnt log in since 2 days ago,i didnt play at all.Please check my IP adress log ins,check my gaming history!!.I never tried to hack or do something.I played GW2 only for pleasure.Also check my characters,i had 2 lvl 80 and 2000 achievement points.If they are deleted or something can you please recover them to 5 days ago.I dont know what happened to them cause i didnt log in at all,as it was impossible to log in for me .
I received ban and my account is baned for no reason known to me.I payed and i enjoyed this game and i think you need to recheck what you did.I dont want to stop playing,and i dont think you want to lose one of your biggest fans since GW1.

I consider this a BIG PROBLEM requiring fast reaction from your support team because:
1. SECURITY FLAW,because my account IS STOLEN
2.Authentication system obviously FAILED because i didnt allow logging in to any PERSON EXCEPT ME
3.BAD REACTION FROM YOUR Gmasters,for banning without reason,without trying to contact me and warning me via phone,e-mail.They didnt even check who they are baning.I have been playing for half a year without ever using even a macros on my account.Just enjoyed story.I didnt need money and i didnt even ever had a lot of it.SO PLEASE RECHECK WHAT YOU DID
4.SLOW AND USELESS reactions from support team.I am tired of writting reports and getting useless responds.IT has beekittendays already,and not even one person tried CONTACTING ME,ALL I GET ARE AUTOMATED MESSAGESS.I WANT TO play my GAME,especialy when new living story is coming close.
