Guild Wars 2 Windows 10 FPS Issue

So I have been battling this problem with this game running terribly with Windows 10. With Windows 7 I was getting great fps around 60 on ultra and now its hard to get above 25. Have gone through lots of emails with Anet and nothing has helped. Even posted on here and was told to reseat my card which has not helped either. I have noticed that while running, my graphics card is using 98 percent of its power where as my CPU never goes over 30 percent and the ram stays in the upper teens. Is this normal? Really want to get this fixed so I can start playing again! Thank you
Specs: Geforce GTX 970 Intel® Core™ i7-4790K CPU @4.00GHZ (4.3GHZ OC boost and 4 cores) 16.00 GB RAM (15.95 GB usable) 361.43 Driver Version Microsoft Windows 10 Pro

Currently co leading a guild of 450 members named Argonauts of Tyria. Current event schedule contains four events, two of which are Guild Mission nights. We have officers that can run the missions but want more as a back up and to be able to rotate who is leading what nights.

Guild Missions are played on…

Friday 7:30 pm est
Sunday 7:00 pm est

Times can be changed if not able to lead at those exact times.

Requirements include experience in guild missions and in the game. You do not have to have lead guild missions before but need to be comfortable running them. Usually have about 25-30 members running with us on Team Speak. Please mail me in game at Megan I Fox for more info. Thank you!

Northern Shiverpeaks is getting a lot of guilds to our server because of the free transfer and we have room for more! We are pretty active with server events and always a commander leading a zerg in WvW. Also have a server TS that people chill on.

Any servers losing there big wvw guilds?

I know that NSP is getting at least 2 confirmed guilds. Sadly I forget the names and where they come from but they were talked about in our server meetings.

We’re considering server hopping as a guild, more or less. We’re a cross-server guild, but our base is currently on CD.

What server are you guys moving too?

From those servers I would have to say Northern Shiverpeaks. I do not necessarily like this for I am a WvW player but our biggest guild on the server (ZoS) is almost completely focused on PvE. All of maybe a few of the guilds on NSP do only PvE content AS A GUILD. I do see a lot of the PvE guild members following other commanders who are in WvW guilds. If you do join NSP for PvE then I would recommend trying to join one of these PvE/PvX guilds… ZoS, Moo, MeSi, or AoT.

Welcome to Northern Shiverpeaks!

Wow am I surprised with this server. Left when it hit its low in WvW and went to SoR, then a friend convinced me to come back because it had gotten more organized and more mature. Been playing with his guild for about a month now and wow has this server improved. I am amazed at how organized it is with its server team speak and how the guilds work with each other instead of fighting for members. Its not just its WvW but also the server wide events that are organized each week. Temple zerg and TEQ Thursdays have been some of the best Guild Wars 2 events I have taken part of. If you want a server that is really tight and organized with one another this is the place to be. As for activity, its still thriving in all aspects. Thanks to all the great leaders who make this server great! NSP PRIDE!!!

Just posted this thread https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/wuv/recruitment/NSP-Wants-You

I am not really sure about the others but NSP is still an active server that works together with one another. As for WvW in the server we are very strong. PvE is currently active too as Lions Arch is pretty much always in Que during popular hours of the day. We would love to have you if you are interested in playing WvW with us!

Due to the new implements being put into place for server transfer costs to kick off the WvW tournament, servers through rank 13-15 will have no server transfer fee the week before the tournament starts. Looking at the three servers in this tier we have Henge of Denravi, Crystal Desert, and Northern Shiverpeaks! Last week these three servers competed against each other and here are the results http://mos.millenium.org/servers/view/42/153

As you can see CD was not a strong competitor against NSP or HoD. This is where you come into place. NSP wants to be the best they can be! We have lots of strong dedicated guilds that do WvW every week to keep us going strong. We are looking for WvW players to fill up our enemy border lands so we can bring the heat. NSP works together as a server, so we have guild alliances and a server Team Speak to coordinate our strategies. Here are some of our major guilds that WvW every week,
EL
PB
AoT
ZoS
Os
TFG
Moo
MeSi

I am currently an officer of AoT and we would love to have more recruits to help us win the fight! If you are interested in joining AoT for our WvW nights or any other PvE activities whisper me at Sophie Lone!

Do not get me wrong, this is not about AoT but the entire server of NSP. We are very dedicated to strengthening our forces to be strong competitors in the tournament. I thank you for your time in reading the post and good luck to all servers in the upcoming tournament! Pre-tournament sale (March 18-27) is when you can join us for free!

I am close to hitting my 500 hour mark on this game. It has been an amazing experience. I have lead a maxed player guild, leveled 2 characters to 80, and have spent many nights zerging in WvW. But now as I play, I feel a loss of progression with my character. I have all exotic gear and ascended gear and don’t know what else to work for other than a legendary which I don’t wanna grind just for cosmetic. So as for WvW I am set, but I wanna get more play time in PvE and all I ever do in PvE is daily and monthly. I see a lot of people farming for gold but whats the point in farming gold if you already have the best items in the game other than a legendary? Also, whats the point in fractals if you already have all ascended gear? I really just need a reason to keep playing where I feel I am progressing at something with out grinding for cosmetic only. Will I find that in Guild Wars 2? or should I move on to a different and only do the bi weekly content when it comes around? Also I don’t wanna craft ascended weapons cause I do not find them good looking.

I remember they were really bad, then a bunch of guilds and people transferred to the server for WvW. Then they started falling rank and now they are dropping really heavily. Did everyone on the server just stop doing WvW? Or is their server population going to kitten? Just really curious thats all and am wondering what others think on the matter. Thanks

Let us know what server you are on. I am interested to see which ones are the less active ones. Also the Sylvari area is one of the least populated starting areas. I think the human one has the most people running around it. Good luck in you quest to find some life in game. Also WvW and lions arch should always have players in it.

This is just as pointless as the “hater” threads. Unless GW2 is putting food on your table why do you care?

Because when all these people are making these crazy comments about the state of the game and they are no where true it hurts the community as some will believe these comments and stop playing or convince players that want to start playing that the game is a dead bug filled world. I want to see criticism but not ridiculous statements.

As I make my daily runs on the forums of Guild Wars 2 I always come across several posts that consist of topics (or end up becoming topics) of the following, the game is dying, the game is loosing players, if Anet does not release some good content soon the game is done, the game sucks and always will because of bla bla bla. You get my point. To all those people who try to bring down Guild Wars 2 by claiming that the game is dying or its empty, just stop. The game is no where near dying and STILL has a very bright future. Now my proof. (which tons of haters forget to put in their arguments about how the game is dying)

Guild Wars 2 has been around for almost a year now. Some might think this is a long time but for a good high quality MMO like Guild Wars 2, one year is almost nothing to the 7-10 years expected. (Wow is also a very high quality MMO and has lasted over 10 years and the original guild wars lasted 8 and still goes on) In most games (especially mmos) the game releases, sees a high number of sales, the game sales die out after a few months if not shorter, and then the company must do something to get players interested again. (going free to play) Signs of an mmo loosing its player base and dying are the following, LACK of content, cuts to dev team, low sales after the game being out for only a few months. Guild wars 2 has NONE of these. In fact content has seen an increase (going from monthly to every 2 weeks) sales almost as high as sales were during release months later (Christmas sales) and Anet is still hiring! Yes sales have scene a decrease in the first quarter of 2013 but what do you expect? Even the all mighty WoW had sales decrease almost a year after release. So now to the haters who say the player base is not active…

This interview was from today. From the interview the following were stated by Colin Johnson
Over three million copies of Guild Wars 2 have already been sold
WvW populations are going up. In fact, the numbers are nearly equal to those the game featured in October.
PvP populations have risen by 3% each weekend over the past several weekends.
Does this sound like a game dying? So to sum it up, stop kittening about how the game is dying and empty cause its NOT, its growing. Thanks for reading and Cantha FTW.

In my opinion, GW2 is dying

The game has its problems but I feel that you are taking it a whole step further then what it is and over exaggerating the problems and the fact that the game is “Dying”. The game is still very much alive as I am in one of the lowest population servers in the game and its still hoping. There might be a drop in activity in some places but since this game has an absence of a subscription fee, players can play or take breaks when they please. Arena Net is working very hard to fix lots of the problems that are in the game at the moment and I personally think the game was rushed into release and that is why lots of the problems are here in the first place. Give Arena Net some time, let them learn from there mistakes, and STOP saying its dying cause its not at all.

Topic on End Game

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Sophie Lone.8576

Over the past months I have seen plenty of complaints on the lack of end game in Guild Wars 2. For me this is not a problem as I love WvW and I am not very picky on the depth of end game. The fact of the matter is that Guild Wars 2 is losing old players because they have reached the level cap and are tired of WvW, sPvP, grinding for legendary, or don’t want to create another character and level them to 80. The question I have is why Arena net have this end game problem in the first place? It would make sense if this is their first MMO created but they have made one before and its been around for 7 years and players are STILL playing it even when the squeal has been released! I have not played Guild Wars one enough to know what the end game was. So the main question is, was this a problem in the first Guild Wars? And if not then why don’t they just take the end game mechanics from the first and put them in the second? And if it was a problem then how did they fix it and why have they not fixed the problem in this one yet? I am just really concerned about the future of the game when I see so many people stop playing because they have “nothing” left to do. I love this game so much and want to know what arena net have planned (hopefully they do) to put some end game content in the hands of their older fan base.

Guild improvements needed

I agree, guilds need more tools.

A clumsy but effective work around to handling inactives is to take a screenshot of your roster. After a specified time compare the roster with the SS and anyone whose achievement points has not moved you can remove for inactive.

Thanks for the idea, might actually work if they dont update soon.

Guild improvements needed

I was a guild leader of a guild called Tots on NSP server. We had 430 members at our peak and about 60 on at one time in weekends. It was a blast to run this community and be one of the biggest guilds on the server and my guild even bought me commander. This all had to end eventually when I had to take a long break from the game and my guild fell apart. Even though lots of positives came out of the guild, most of the time it was more of a chore or job then playing a game. The first thing I would have to do when I logged in was to make sure that everyone was representing because most of my members didnt know what it ment and I was constantly having to explain it or tell them to. The Multi guild system brings lots of positives to the members but is very hard for the leaders. I could go on and on about the things that could be added to the guild system but I feel that the most important thing that NEEDS to be added is being able to see when a member has last logged in. This is very crucial to have and with out it, guilds can fall apart easy. When lots of the players from launch day left a few months after the game released and a flood of new players came, all of a sudden you have an inactive guild with the max about of members nearly filled and tons of new players want to be apart of your community but you have no idea who is still playing or not. So what happens is you have to kick random members who still might be very active or simply stick with the members you have and watch your guild die out. Guilds are one of the most important parts of Guild wars 2. I mean with out them WVW would be nearly impossible. Guilds in MMO’s keep the community lively and orginized. If the name of your game has GUILD in it then you need to atleast have a log function in guilds. I am planning to make another huge guild again and spend hundreds of hours recruiting like I did with my first guild. But if I cant even have a simple log on when someone logs in or out then its going to be just another waste of time. Please Anet, as a player and past guild leader I am begging you to do this.

Hello, just a quick question about the status of NSP atm. I used to play guild wars a ton and was the leader of Tots which had about 430 members at its peak but then I had to leave the game for personal reasons and the guild fell apart. Anyway I will be playing the game again starting next month and was just wondering how the population of NSP is at the moment compared to other servers and where it shines. I plan to make another guild on NSP or join an active one and just want to know what its like atm. Thanks for your time.

Help with Guild Roster & Managing Guilds

I am the leader of a 400 member guild and I have been having these problems for a long time. The most important thing that needs to be added to the guild management is that I need to be able to see when someone has logged on last. Guild Wars 1 had it so then why not 2. Guilds in an MMO keep an MMO active and organized. This is even more important in Guild Wars 2 because WvW is run by mostly guilds. I beg Anet to take all these leaders requests and ingrate better functions for guild management. For me and lots of others, seeing when a member has logged on last is most important.
