Hey Guys, Sourunji here, with what I believe is the way to get around the current bugging in Story Chapter 14: Sign Cutting.

First things first — don’t be in the first rock’s event zone when you switch to Chapter 13, then back to Chapter 14 and relog/rezone.

Secondly make sure you know where each rock is located, because the method that has worked for me involves speed and avoiding as much combat as possible.

Lastly, get your running shoes on — and run, run, run. You need to go from rock to rock as quickly as possible. If you take too long on one or linger to long in an event zone, it bugs. If you are in combat just a little longer than a couple seconds, it bugs.

The idea is to speed through each one as fast as possible.

Tried this and was consistently getting to the last rock every time by speeding, but kept taking too long to find the last rock and it bugged at the last rock. Finally sped through fast enough using warrior sword 2 and warhorn 4 to keep swiftness going and avoiding enemies.

Good luck guys, and I don’t know if this will definitely work for you, but it showed consistency when I tried it. Also have other friends who completed it by making their way through it very quickly and essentially skipping listening to dialogue, so keep at it. Until ArenaNet gets a bug fix out there (which they are looking into) this appears to work.

Same issue. Completed the World for the first time today and have all the World points needed, Chantry, etc. Sent in a bug report and support ticket recently.

It’s a real bummer that I didn’t get the reward, but I’m optimistic they’ll get a fix going sometime soon.

Congrats on the kill again. TTS is still battling bugs. At least we have a Dev that runs with us, so we don’t have to report anything.

Ohh. so you are blaming it on bugs now. LoL Deso has done it twice now without any blaming failures on bugs. I thought you guys were the ’elite" of all “hardcore” ’elite" players. No excuses then. LoL

Twice in one entire week.

Also, don’t put words in anyone’s mouth. No one in TTS has claimed that we’re the elite, hardcore or better than other players.

Don’t get worked up about this really, we love that we are competing against TTS, BG, FSP and others.. That’s what makes it fun I guess some people like to pick a fight for no reason.

As one of the regulars, commanders, and sole American to get the kills (oh man, did I mention speeches?) I have to say that we loved the competition.

All jokes aside (including my ego, that thing is insane) we thrive on that rush to get the first kill. To have the most kills. We’ve fought so long and so hard to try and perfect this fight, to uncover the truth, and myself and about 30+ others are constantly theorycrafting after every single encounter about what we can improve on and what can be done differently.

We want this kill. 10 second bug at the start aside, we are going for kills. Forget making excuses. Killing the wurm, just like Teq back in the day, is our main priority.

So please, no one take what someone may say too severely. We enjoy the competition and it really does make each group better. Not to mention, we share tactics from all these servers and groups and try to continue to get better.

So while the original post of this was a joke, those posting know that we enjoy the competition. We thrive on it. Keep it coming, TTS, BG, and FSP, as we can’t improve if we don’t have someone right on our heels. :P

It was amazing to once again get a kill. So many people, so many commanders, so many regulars, and even a number of new players. We all did so much and put so much into this fight that it’s so fulfilling to down that wurm once again.

I like to think that my declaration of giving no more speeches until we get a kill was a motivating factor to get us another kill. ;D
